00:00Hey, what's up y'all? It's Nikki Vaughn. I'm here with my good friend Sarah from Friends for Animals of Metro Detroit.
00:06It's Doggie Dog Thursdays, but sometimes we do feature other animals that need great homes too.
00:13So Sarah, who do we have here with us today?
00:15So this is Angela Lansbury. She's rocking the comb today because she actually just got spayed.
00:21So she's all healthy, just needs to make sure she doesn't get at her incision area.
00:25But she is about a year, I think we think she's about 13 months old.
00:30So she's still a young one, but she's very sweet. She's a real good girl.
00:36She likes to snuggle, as you can tell. She's very curious right now about what's going on.
00:41She is a cuddle bug. She will just kind of chill and hang out in your lap.
00:45Yeah, she seems kind of low-key, kind of chill.
00:48So you said she's about a year old?
00:51Yeah, we think so. She did come in as a lost animal, so we're not entirely positive on her age, but that's our best guess.
01:01Okay, and she's all up to date with her shots?
01:03Yeah, she'll be up to date with everything by the time you adopt her.
01:07I mean, she is now, but if for some reason she was to still be with us for a little bit, we would make sure she stayed up to date.
01:13She is spayed, and then she is microchipped.
01:15Nice. Now, how much would it cost to take Angela home today?
01:19I believe she is 60.
01:2060? Oh, that's not bad.
01:22No, but she comes with all her stuff. She's up to date.
01:24And also, I don't know if we've mentioned before, but all our animals actually get a first free visit at,
01:31I think we have three or four different VCA animal hospitals.
01:33I think it's a $250 credit that you can take them in for routine stuff, just, you know, in case they get a cold or something little,
01:42and a month of free pet insurance.
01:44Nice. Perfect.
01:45So, how long does Angela have to wear the cone?
01:48Hopefully, just for a couple more days, just until her stitches are completely healed,
01:53and she's not going at them or risking tearing them out.
01:58And something we did want to mention that's kind of interesting about her, she is a tortoise shell.
02:03I love that color.
02:04And it is predominantly, like, 99% happens in female cats.
02:10Oh, okay.
02:10It's something with the genetics that there is very rarely ever a male tortoise shell.
02:16So, if you see a kitty with this print, it's almost...
02:19A female.
02:19Yep.
02:20Guaranteed.
02:21Well, almost.
02:22Yeah.
02:22So pretty.
02:23A little snuggles.
02:24I love Angela.
02:25We're going to make sure she gets into a great home.
02:27Yes.
02:28Where can someone find you guys and come see Angela?
02:31Yes.
02:31So, she is at our adoption center, which is on Reckinger Road in Dearborn.
02:35It's actually behind the Dearborn Police Station.
02:37And then all her info and a couple more pictures of her without her cone are at our website,
02:43metrodetoritanimals.org.
02:45And then you can always give us a call at 313-943-2697.
02:50Perfect.
02:50Thank you, Sarah.
02:52Bye.
