Over 2000 people in Wales have signed a petition calling on a cull of fish eating birds, claiming the animals are decimating fish numbers in Welsh rivers. Anglers say that cormorants and goosander duck numbers need to be kept in check, with public health Wales saying they plan on examining the issue.

Two men have been charged after 5 people were attacked by a dog at a North Wales Holiday park. Thomas Loftus, 28 and Ian Loftus 58, were both charged with affray, actual bodily harm and owning a dangerous dog, with the former, Thomas, also being charged with common assault. The dog was seized after the incident.

A 61 year old body builder died when a bar he was lifting fell onto his neck, an inquest has heard. Carl Hughes was found dead in his flat by a neighbour on September 9th with a 60kg bar over his neck. The coroner said provisionally said the man died of asphyxia, with the inquiry set to continue at a later date.
