Hawaii to Introduce Bill to Ban Shark Killing
  • 5 years ago
According to the legislation,
first offenders will be penalized $500. Those who break the potential law a third time would be fined $10,000. Anyone caught knowingly abusing, capturing or intentionally entangling a shark would be fined as well. Penalties will also be issued even if the shark is already dead. Hawaii has a similar set of guidelines already in place for manta rays.
