00:00:30A list of the topics, themes, and subject matter featured in this episode of Dimension 20, Coal Outward, ho!
00:00:52I'm your humble dungeon master, Brennan Lee Mulligan. With me, as always, are our intrepid heroes. Say hi, intrepid heroes.
00:00:57Sky, intrepid heroes.
00:01:00Last we left off, hey, hey, for you watching at home, strap in, because these projections are not changing for a good 8 to 10 minutes while we recap the lore dump of all lore dumps.
00:01:12So strap on in. Last we left off, our heroes were victorious against the Legio Rex and Dromarcus, the Legatis Dromarcus, and the Imperasores that were defeated in the Miconomus Magna Mensa-filled power station charging room,
00:01:32where we saw various kinds of energy at play, and our intrepid heroes managed to best these Imperial dinosaurified army members and go further with these sort of beetle.
00:01:45Now, what is happening?
00:01:46There's so much to get through.
00:01:48There's so much to get through.
00:01:49Everyone has a Windrider's pin except for Lou, so we gave him a hand cream.
00:01:54Oh, it ended up being Lou, didn't it?
00:01:55Yeah, that is a sexual urgent.
00:01:58No, that was in that one, which means that the truth is still out there.
00:02:02Sometimes the nat one is you're mistaken, and other times the nat one is I change reality.
00:02:11Monty is just covered in lube.
00:02:13Just keeps, and like, because you want to put, you want to get moisturizer all the way in, and you just can't.
00:02:18He's got two socks on his hands that are just filled with lube.
00:02:22The lotion's not, the lotion's not, like, setting into the skin.
00:02:26Exactly.
00:02:26It's almost like it's designed to keep slippery, even with skin-on-skin friction.
00:02:30And Monty has taken a crew member, and their only job is to open doors for him.
00:02:35Exactly.
00:02:36I know this is adventuring party energy, but you saying socks on your hands.
00:02:40Growing up, we spent so much time in TJ Maxx waiting for my mom to finish shopping,
00:02:44and one time I bought this special hand cream that you would then put gloves over, and you'd sleep that way.
00:02:49And I was like an eight-year-old who was really obsessed with having, like, really soft hands.
00:02:54I think that kid was just for, like, some old, wrinkled woman.
00:02:58My big complaint about eight-year-olds is their hands aren't moist enough.
00:03:01Yes.
00:03:02I need a moister hand for many of us.
00:03:03Brandon, what were you saying?
00:03:05What were you saying?
00:03:06What were you saying?
00:03:07I'm going to pick up.
00:03:08Yeah.
00:03:09Later, man.
00:03:09Heading deeper into the Romansu Power Station, you discovered that, indeed, this had been a work site for your old leader, Professor Comfrey MacLeod,
00:03:22the grandmother of Olethra, the beneficiary of the Gosch family, Fortune, and the former captain of Monty, Maria, and Van,
00:03:31and the former wife, the ex-wife of one Dice Gay Bucklesby.
00:03:35Kiss it.
00:03:35Oh, beautiful.
00:03:39The first thing you guys found was the launch site, right, with the doors closed over it.
00:03:44You found crashed, penny-farthing bicycles and sort of gear there.
00:03:48You ventured further in where you found the sort of disanimated body of who you now know to be Tors, a Xernian warrior.
00:03:58Perhaps our biggest sort of cosmic revelation of the last episode was that Xern is not merely an energy,
00:04:05it is another place that Xud is not a globe, it is instead a hoop.
00:04:12Tube.
00:04:12A tube that loops back around on itself, braided with the other land tube of Xern, a land of harsh fire and forges and rust and waste that exists in tandem with the brilliant land of Xud,
00:04:28twined, twined together forever in the cosmic sky.
00:04:32You saw the site of battle between the House of Fahu-Yar and those that were stationed here.
00:04:37The guardians of Ramansu Power Station had woken up, these sort of beetle-bodied stone constructs.
00:04:43And you discovered Tors leaning towards a golden heart on the ground.
00:04:46There was a lot of debate over what to do, but most importantly, Maria heard voices commanding her to fix the creature in front of her.
00:04:56And going to step towards it, Van unwillingly led with her prosthesis, with her combat gauntlet, and boom, grabbed Maria and hoisted her up, were broken apart.
00:05:08And much was revealed about the energies swirling in this place.
00:05:13Further in, you found the radio station and got the full broadcast that had been corrupted in its sort of spinning cylinder.
00:05:18But you saw the notes that Comfrey had taken when she recorded it that talked about the thing that was losing oxygen rapidly and was potentially gaining krill and methate at an unsustainable rate.
00:05:28It was a thing called the Langosta Five.
00:05:31You learned all about the 40 knots Vex Neff from the Ektic Research Station, talking about the true temple, talking about Zood being real, mentioning Daisuke in Gulch Canyon, make your way to the Effulgent Bi-Angle, Captain's Log in the Zephyr, so you found more of that radio broadcast.
00:05:51So really learning the importance of this Ektic Research Station, looking for clues as to where that could be, you discovered some sort of more, not going deeper into that inner stone tower, you instead discovered more of the sort of like day-to-day offices.
00:06:08Van went down to the launch office where you found that the logbooks had been stolen with a little note over them saying, remember, Monty knows the way.
00:06:17Though the logbooks that would have the coordinates of that Ektic Research Station had been taken, presumably by the House of Fahu-Yar.
00:06:24You also found a puzzle concerning how to open the launch door that was a sort of glass disk having to do with one of the letters in this ancient Romansu, a Langan Empire language.
00:06:37Upstairs, Monty discovered a ton of stuff, schematics for Van's gauntlet, notes that Comfrey felt that perhaps she had misled or, you know, betrayed Van, didn't communicate the full level of risk to her.
00:06:51Now she can't come to Zood because she's the last piece of their puzzle.
00:06:55Harsh words shared about Montgomery LaMontgomery and whether he was indeed a windrider, which Comfrey said he is not.
00:07:04You also found, I believe, some notes to Dysike.
00:07:07You found a portrait of her and Maria with Ludmilla cut out of the portrait.
00:07:13Maria's old protege, which Maxwell spoke to Maria about.
00:07:17We found in a different, in Comfrey's office, in a secret compartment that we discovered, we found letters from Cadswitch about Maxwell and being rebellious, obstreperous, and even a bit of a rowdy.
00:07:32It looks like Comfrey had maybe, you know, cooked some of the books here and there a little bit.
00:07:37There were notes from Onion St. Clay, one of her former crew members that you all know, about Zamara being onto you, they're not going to allow this meddling, notes about Alethra overcoming, being like her dull and dreary life and coming aboard the adventure, and finally you saw that map of Zood and Cern.
00:07:56Additionally, the stone contrast also led you to the captured Freya Ildisdottir, who is now an associate of the Gotch family foundation, having been abandoned by her associates in the house of Fuhujar, due to her belief that she will never be tall enough or strong enough to be a truly great banker.
00:08:19It's fucked up.
00:08:20It's fucked up.
00:08:20Big britches.
00:08:21Oh, yeah.
00:08:22It's the Gotch show.
00:08:24It's the Gotch show.
00:08:24Yeah.
00:08:24Mr. Big Britches, we ventured further in to the stone tower, awakened Tors, put the golden heart in and said that the heart had been made for him by Comfrey, and with the inscription, so beats a worthy heart, and talked a little bit about his people living in Zurn and having resisted the Queen of Zurn, and beings called the Nahtamata, who had given over their hearts to the Queen of Zurn, were sort of an army of those.
00:08:54It was sworn to the Queen of Zurn, and we found a book that Van crushed a clockwork little spider thing in that was cast iron and rusty, and it looked like that had been given from the Queen of Zurn to the Ildisdottir's hand to lead them in this last sort of freakiest ring.
00:09:12Soon we found a jar with a handful of eyeballs in it, lots of notes about the Straka, the biangles of Fulgent, Califactory, Obtenebrant, the Califactory biangle, this burning, fiery biangle, seeming recognized to Maria having seen it in connection with the Straka, the massive crow.
00:09:33There were also notes from the ancient history of Zud about Zud being attacked in a war between Zud and Zurn by the Corvus Exidium, a crow of destruction, and that the war had ended around the time of the creation of the Flying Temple of Katur.
00:09:50Notes from the Ildis hand about opposing Comfrey or discovering Comfrey, wanting to free their nameless god.
00:09:58Whose name they know, definitely know, but don't know, but definitely know.
00:10:03Yes, there were some correspondence between some people where the Ildis hand was basically like, when we recite the name of the nameless god, then we will break down.
00:10:12There were things about diminishing the beacons, there were sort of mechanical notes from Zurnian technology that seemed much more practical and pragmatic about diminishing beacons,
00:10:24and a lot of the correspondents from the Ildis hand were sort of like, the shapes of the nameless ones are ineffable and unknowable, such as tubes and tentacles.
00:10:36And then correspondents coming back saying, well, a tube's not unknowable, and they're like, no, no, think of an unknowable tube.
00:10:43And a response back saying, how would I do that?
00:10:46You know, so that seemed to be the sort of Ildis hand correspondence going back and forth.
00:10:49You discovered more info about Murdershire, having joined the Ildis hand, something about reflections, the obtenement triangle being in reflections,
00:10:59and even a note from Comfrey being like, Murdershire is here.
00:11:04Comfrey sharing a note back saying, well, that bodes well, doesn't it?
00:11:06It means they're already on their way to save us, in a sense.
00:11:09Lots of mystery, but lots of information, and we ended with you in the skies seeing the strange horizon and understanding the swell of Czern getting to a high, high altitude and seeing the swell of Czern ending on the understanding that Fuhuyar has the coordinates to the ectic research station.
00:11:29And there was talk last time of a heist, the house of Fuhuyar living in their asteroids and a need for a heist.
00:11:41With that, we are going to return to the night skies over Zood, here now with Freya, Tors, and little one, our baby T-Rex companion.
00:11:53As you all arrive back, first off, any questions about any of the stuff that we covered?
00:11:58I do have one random question.
00:11:59One random one.
00:12:00I don't know why I took this note.
00:12:02A gift in principle, the Queen of Czern.
00:12:05Oh, interesting.
00:12:06Did someone, did she give someone a gift in principle, and what was that gift, and who did she give it to?
00:12:13Or did I just, did someone make a joke and I just wrote it down?
00:12:16That's half my note.
00:12:17All I know is that she was working with the Ildis hand, that's what my note says.
00:12:21Maybe the gift of the book was the book to them.
00:12:24There's also that disgusting hand that was covered in eyes.
00:12:27Okay.
00:12:27Yes.
00:12:27You want to bring that?
00:12:28The Ild hand?
00:12:29Yeah.
00:12:29We did.
00:12:29I think we brought everything.
00:12:30I think we brought everything.
00:12:31I also have people told me to have written down.
00:12:32I wouldn't mind maybe never seeing it ever again.
00:12:34Yeah.
00:12:35It was disgusting.
00:12:36I will say, you guys should write down everything that you have access to.
00:12:40Great.
00:12:41Everything should make it into someone's inventory.
00:12:43Great.
00:12:44Oh, yes.
00:12:44I'm going to throw blankets over the hand with all the eyes on it, just so it doesn't watch us.
00:12:49This is gold.
00:12:50Sky confirms, it was a tome with a cast iron binding with a lock binding it together.
00:12:54One of Gotch's keys opens it up, revealing a text written in Wirian, a gift in principle
00:13:00to those faithful and stout, a missive and a statement from the Queen of Cern.
00:13:05A missive and a statement.
00:13:06Oh, so it was almost like a general document that's being shared rather than a gift from one person.
00:13:13It was like instructions.
00:13:14It was very specific.
00:13:15Disseminated by Tropicana.
00:13:17It seemed that a lot of the missives, the stolen correspondence that Comfrey had gotten
00:13:22her hands on from the eyeless hand was definitely malevolent and they had plots and conspiracies
00:13:27and there were attacks on people and things like that.
00:13:29But a lot of their stuff seemed very couched in a mystery cult, in that thing of like mystery and ceremony and pomp and circumstance and a lot of like, there are shadows for the eye to see.
00:13:41And the missive from the Queen of Cern went, very well, here is how you diminish the beacons.
00:13:47And it was very much like mechanical.
00:13:49The book was like written in like a sinister, spiky script.
00:13:54You killed that spider that was in it, right?
00:13:55Yeah, did we kill the book too?
00:13:57The book you did not kill, but there was a spider hidden in the cover that when you unlocked it with the key, tried to pop out and Van punched it and crushed it.
00:14:04What are all the things that have the word bi-angle in front of it?
00:14:08You've learned of three.
00:14:09The effulgent, which you found and got you to Zood.
00:14:12The califactory, which seemed to be in a lot of the Zernian stuff that you found.
00:14:18And the heat, fire, like a fiery line like the effulgent bi-angle is a...
00:14:24Like the red energy that we keep finding.
00:14:26The red energy you keep finding, right?
00:14:28And obtenebrant, right?
00:14:29And the obtenebrant, which is a weird one, which was only referenced by the eyeless hand.
00:14:33And that's like, we don't know if it exists or not, but it's like illusions and water.
00:14:39Yes, illusions, water, and appeared to be something that was like a reflection and maybe even like a reflection of other bi-angles, right?
00:14:48And then master shows on how to destroy various Zood tech, how to dim the undimmed light.
00:14:54Flowery, but mechanical.
00:14:55Where the eyeless hand members can be frivolous, like those members of sort of the Gathian aristocracy.
00:15:00The Zernian stuff was less frivolous.
00:15:02Who is the...
00:15:03I have Aganti-Zerni.
00:15:06The Aganti-Zerni is the tribe that Tors belonged to.
00:15:10Great.
00:15:11He is unsure, it sounds like, if any of his people remain.
00:15:15And it seems again that Tors is a, you know, similarly cast iron, frightening looking warrior, but appears to be fully sentient and self-possessed and opposed to the Queen of Zern.
00:15:31Great.
00:15:31You clamber back aboard the ship as it lands here in the launch site.
00:15:36It's taken off.
00:15:37You see sort of Tors and Freya meeting some of the other crew.
00:15:41You see Captain Daughterdale.
00:15:44Polaximus and Diaz are still here.
00:15:45Jack Way of St. Niles is here.
00:15:47Bert comes out and goes,
00:15:49Hey there, lovey.
00:15:50You doing all right?
00:15:51Yeah, we're going to find a way for you to get back.
00:15:55Get back?
00:15:56Yeah.
00:15:57But I've got the, I just had the menu ready.
00:15:59Yeah.
00:16:00For the rest of the week.
00:16:01It's a beautiful menu and we can make the meal prep, but I, this is frankly going to be much more dangerous than we thought it was going to be.
00:16:12Oh, lovey.
00:16:14And I'm sorry I brought you into it.
00:16:16And I'm glad you're here.
00:16:17And you need to leave.
00:16:18Sweetie, I know that you are a braver warrior than, than any.
00:16:27And I know that you know that I am a very short and slight man.
00:16:32The heaviest part of me might be my mustache.
00:16:35You're, you're, you're light in, in structure, but strong.
00:16:40You're a strong man.
00:16:41And you don't let anybody tell you you're not strong.
00:16:44You're the strongest man I know.
00:16:45He gives you a hug sort of around your upper thighs with his arms.
00:16:49I pick him up.
00:16:50He hugs you.
00:16:51And you see he goes, by your side is always going to be the safest place for me.
00:16:55Okay, okay, okay, okay, I'm good.
00:17:01I'm good.
00:17:02He pats you.
00:17:03And you see, you hear a voice go, well, well, well, it seems that we have some extra guests.
00:17:09Is anyone going to untie me from the mast?
00:17:12I absolutely introduce Wilwell to Freya.
00:17:16Oh, you see that Freya walks up and goes, who is this man that you have captured and you have not put him in the brig?
00:17:24That's my brother.
00:17:26He is solid, but also pulled a gun on.
00:17:29Frankly, the opposite of solid, actually fully the opposite of solid.
00:17:33He's very fluid.
00:17:34He's an incredibly fluid man.
00:17:36And he seems to go by whatever he feels like, which is stupid.
00:17:43And I might throw him off the suit.
00:17:46He saved Mari and I.
00:17:48And then he shot you.
00:17:49Well, no, he didn't shoot.
00:17:51Well, he tried to.
00:17:51That's going to.
00:17:53I've shot everyone here.
00:17:54He's a solid guy.
00:17:55Yeah, but when you do it, I know that you do it with love.
00:17:58Yes, that's true.
00:17:58I do shoot all of you with love when it happens.
00:18:01I shot you too.
00:18:02I'm sorry.
00:18:02I guess I untie Wilwell.
00:18:04I've shot you.
00:18:05You think I don't remember having shot you in the bus?
00:18:07You shot me.
00:18:08You're just a terrible shot.
00:18:10This is true.
00:18:11And this is why I don't have a gun.
00:18:12We were eating dinner.
00:18:14And I had a gun on me.
00:18:15I had the safety of.
00:18:16You sneezed while holding a gun.
00:18:18And I don't have a gun now.
00:18:19So look, here we are.
00:18:21You see, Wilwell walks over and says,
00:18:23Thank you, brother, for untying me.
00:18:25Now, for the matter at hand.
00:18:27What?
00:18:28You are coming in so authoritative.
00:18:30A lot of confidence.
00:18:32What happened while we were gone?
00:18:34Once every ten things, he says something relevant.
00:18:37So let's find out.
00:18:39The matter at hand is this.
00:18:41I forgot one of my handkerchiefs in Tabira City.
00:18:44So we need to turn around.
00:18:45The matter at hand, Wilwell?
00:18:47The matter at hand.
00:18:48All right.
00:18:48What happened?
00:18:49What did you guys do?
00:18:50The matter at handkerchief?
00:18:50What?
00:18:51What?
00:18:52The matter at handkerchief.
00:18:53Hey-oh.
00:18:55I'm going to get some aioli.
00:18:57All right.
00:18:59Well, I guess we'll wait another ten things.
00:19:01I think him and Freya have a chance.
00:19:03Sure.
00:19:04It seems like great energy.
00:19:06I kind of agree with you.
00:19:06You know what?
00:19:07Maybe they can take each other off the market.
00:19:09Yeah.
00:19:10Sometimes that's all you can hope for.
00:19:11That's none of my business.
00:19:13As you say taking off the market, Dice Gate,
00:19:15you feel extremely cold, clammy fingertips on the back of your neck.
00:19:20Hello.
00:19:21Hello, Daughterdale.
00:19:22Hi.
00:19:23Hello.
00:19:24I forgot that that was a thing we established before.
00:19:28I know.
00:19:29We had two episodes on the away mission,
00:19:31so we got to really line up all the old bits again.
00:19:34We'll bring it back.
00:19:35Hey.
00:19:36Wow.
00:19:38Thank you for that.
00:19:39I'm very glad to see that you are well and healthy.
00:19:42Hey.
00:19:43It was hard going.
00:19:46We weren't sure if you were going to make it,
00:19:47but, of course, you've pulled through it again.
00:19:50Can I just say something real fast?
00:19:52Whatever this is, it'll pass.
00:20:00And I...
00:20:01Daughterdale, you get fired!
00:20:02I'm in that rickets right now!
00:20:03Why are you talking to that?
00:20:05I've told you once.
00:20:06I've told you a minute of time.
00:20:07Get up here!
00:20:08I think your hands malfunctioned.
00:20:09Yeah.
00:20:10And she runs and gets back to it.
00:20:13You'll be fine.
00:20:15Don't touch.
00:20:16Your own lips.
00:20:18You've got to stop it.
00:20:22You know what I was just thinking?
00:20:25I feel like maybe there's something with Wheelwell.
00:20:29You see...
00:20:30Wheelwell and Love Triangle.
00:20:31She looks over...
00:20:32Or Freya.
00:20:33This person.
00:20:34You see that Freya...
00:20:34Yeah, Freya...
00:20:35She looks from you to Freya,
00:20:38looks at Wheelwell,
00:20:39and you see Wheelwell is looking at the Tyrannosaurus Rex
00:20:41and goes,
00:20:42My, my, my.
00:20:43Incredible posture.
00:20:44Did you study a bit more?
00:20:45And you see that...
00:20:47Looks over at Freya,
00:20:48and you see that Freya goes like,
00:20:50Hmm.
00:20:50I wonder how hard I can punch all the different parts of the wood on this ship.
00:20:54Are there any rotting parts?
00:20:55And he just starts punching the mast and punching the deck.
00:20:58You see that Torse looks over at all of you and goes,
00:21:01Well, thank you for freeing me from my state below.
00:21:10You are here pursuing McLeod, yes?
00:21:17Yes.
00:21:18You see that...
00:21:19Are you in your mech still, or have you stepped out of it?
00:21:21I think I stepped out.
00:21:22You see that your mech sort of walks us over to, like, where it's normally, like, tied down on the ship.
00:21:28Torse sort of walks over, puts a clawed, metallic hand on the mech, goes...
00:21:33Fine work, as always.
00:21:37And the mech goes sort of like...
00:21:39Waves its hand.
00:21:42Torse turns around and goes,
00:21:45What are your plans from here?
00:21:48I did not intend to survive the encounter protecting the inner tower, but I have.
00:21:59No, I am uncommitted to any course of action, but I am, as ever, an ally to McLeod.
00:22:09Well, we plan on going to the house of Fuhulyard and hopefully finding the coordinates to this ectic research station
00:22:19to possibly find more clues to the whereabouts of the professor.
00:22:24Hmm.
00:22:25Many of the flesh and blood of Zood or of McLeod's homeworld
00:22:36are soft.
00:22:41Do you require me to gild my words in nicety?
00:22:46No.
00:22:48Not at all. We're all adventurers.
00:22:51Your ship is a joke.
00:22:53Excuse me?
00:22:55It will be absolutely eviscerated and torn to ribbons by Fuhulyard.
00:22:59You'll be eviscerated and torn to ribbons. How dare you? This is my ship.
00:23:04This is why I asked the question.
00:23:06Well, I didn't know you were going to be rude.
00:23:08You can be mean to me. You just can't be rude.
00:23:11I don't understand the distinction.
00:23:14He's actually being... He's just telling the truth. It's a hard truth.
00:23:17You just got to suck it up.
00:23:19Uh-huh.
00:23:19You didn't build the ship. I've been loyal to this ship for a long time,
00:23:23and I'm quite miffed about it.
00:23:25I thought the ship was pretty good.
00:23:27You see, he says,
00:23:28Is this ship... How recently was this ship built?
00:23:33Pretty recent, like in the last...
00:23:35Oh, it's a while. It's been a while ago.
00:23:37Yes.
00:23:38Well, over 40 years at least.
00:23:40And then it's been sitting in a garage for...
00:23:43I noticed there are a lot of commemorative plaques,
00:23:46which is never a good sign on a ship.
00:23:48It was going to be, I think, just sold for parts.
00:23:53So, fair point. You could have been more polite about it.
00:23:56Oh, yeah. There's no... We couldn't get insurance on it.
00:23:58Can I take another run at that?
00:24:00It could have been put in, like, a children's museum or something.
00:24:03Yeah.
00:24:03Sure.
00:24:04You strike me as a mighty warrior.
00:24:08Your ship is awful.
00:24:11I enjoy the grooming of your hair and mustache.
00:24:15Okay.
00:24:15Really good shit sandwich. Really good.
00:24:17What an interesting...
00:24:18Sandwiched it.
00:24:19What an interesting tactic.
00:24:21I learned of the sandwich of shit from Comfrey MacLeod.
00:24:25Yeah.
00:24:26She was a big fan.
00:24:27She was a big fan of the same way.
00:24:28It's starting to make sense now.
00:24:30It's hard criticism, but it's constructive.
00:24:33You see that Freya sort of looking over goes,
00:24:36The House of Freya, they are the mightiest warriors in all of Zud.
00:24:40They are unstoppable.
00:24:41Their banking branches span the skies of Zud,
00:24:46and they will not be easy to defeat.
00:24:50What is it?
00:24:51What is your plan that you wish to do?
00:24:53I know much about Freya,
00:24:54and though my heart breaks,
00:24:57I am loyal to my new master
00:25:00and my new position
00:25:02as a just associate,
00:25:05not junior associate, right?
00:25:07Just, yes.
00:25:08Senior associate, sure.
00:25:10I mean, if it's junior...
00:25:11Senior associate.
00:25:12I will not let you down,
00:25:14and I will not fail,
00:25:15but Freya is mighty indeed.
00:25:17What are we trying to get from who you are?
00:25:19We're trying to get the coordinates.
00:25:20We're trying to get to the coordinates.
00:25:22We need a ship.
00:25:24Is there a place we can get another ship,
00:25:26and ideally one that has, like, a stealth mode?
00:25:29Maybe one that's, like, disguised to look like a cloud.
00:25:33A rain cloud.
00:25:34So everyone's like, oh, it's gonna rain.
00:25:36Better go inside.
00:25:37Better go inside.
00:25:38Now that's the kind of thing.
00:25:41That's why she's a cat.
00:25:42A rain cloud over that asteroid belt.
00:25:44I feel like what Torres was saying
00:25:46is that the ship is pretty good,
00:25:47and we're gonna get it there.
00:25:49I don't know that we should trade.
00:25:50We can fix our ship.
00:25:51Is that what you're saying?
00:25:51Oh, do you think that's what you're saying?
00:25:53Freya looks over and says,
00:25:55I don't have access to any ship at all,
00:25:58but I do have access about the history of Fuhuya.
00:26:01I know where the different regional branch managers are
00:26:05for the most part,
00:26:06and I know how to find them
00:26:07and maybe to help with their...
00:26:10What do the ships look like
00:26:12that come and go from Fuhuya?
00:26:14There are different kinds.
00:26:15There are single-craft fighters, but...
00:26:18Like, what is a ship that we could come in
00:26:20and it'd be like,
00:26:21ah, it's these guys again.
00:26:22Pizza delivery, who are they're...
00:26:24Great question.
00:26:26You see, she looks and says,
00:26:27so to understand Fuhuya,
00:26:29you must understand that they are...
00:26:32And you see that Torres actually leans in here
00:26:35and goes,
00:26:36with respect,
00:26:39senior associate Ildisdottir,
00:26:42some of the flesh and blood of Zud
00:26:45can take things hard.
00:26:47Do I have your...
00:26:47She says, yeah, yeah, you can speak freely.
00:26:50Freya is very optimistic
00:26:52about the might of the House of Fuhuya.
00:26:55They do not walk freely
00:26:58in the great cities and lands of Zud.
00:27:02They are not all-powerful or almighty.
00:27:05There is a reason
00:27:06that they live on the remote asteroids
00:27:09and must raid and pillage where they see fit.
00:27:12You see, Freya says,
00:27:13the origins of the House of Fuhuya
00:27:16begin with the bi-angle.
00:27:19Our origins from Gath
00:27:21were some 10 or 12 generations ago.
00:27:26There was a great voyage of Rota Halvorsen.
00:27:31And I think anyone who wants to make a history check,
00:27:34you would...
00:27:35I know.
00:27:3819.
00:27:38That one.
00:27:3919.
00:27:40Rota Halvorsen was a Gathian explorer,
00:27:42a historical Gathian explorer
00:27:44that you would remember from Hauk,
00:27:46from one of those lands.
00:27:48But the amount of generations is crazy to you
00:27:51because that's like 1,000 years ago
00:27:54that he sailed off.
00:27:56It was in the year 300 in Gath or around then.
00:27:58But there's a lost voyage.
00:28:01He was an explorer who was heading off
00:28:03to find other lands within Gath.
00:28:07And he had accomplished many great voyages
00:28:09and his voyage disappeared.
00:28:11People thought that he died at sea.
00:28:13Oh, so he came here.
00:28:15You see, it says,
00:28:16yes, so Rota,
00:28:18the great explorer Rota Halvorsen
00:28:20arrived here
00:28:22and they were fending for themselves
00:28:24against the great beasts of this land
00:28:26and the wild places.
00:28:28And they were, you know,
00:28:31they were trying to stake out for themselves.
00:28:34But the group was small at that time.
00:28:37And they did not have the thanes back in their homeland
00:28:41to be farming for them,
00:28:43for them to return from their raids and pillaging.
00:28:46And so it seemed all hope was lost until he came,
00:28:51the great hero and savior of the house of Fuhuia,
00:28:55Buck's Befolder.
00:28:56And you see that she takes out a small daguerreotype
00:29:00of a man that you swear to God
00:29:02looks extremely like Bert.
00:29:07He's like a little sort of like
00:29:09small frightened looking man.
00:29:11And he says,
00:29:13Buck's Befolder came
00:29:14and changed our lives forever.
00:29:17Buck's Be
00:29:18came to the descendants of Rota,
00:29:22the Halvorsens
00:29:23and those different leaders of the Fuhuia
00:29:26and explained the concept
00:29:29that you could,
00:29:32you did not have to fight to take gold.
00:29:36It's an anchor.
00:29:37Yes.
00:29:38Diversed.
00:29:39And you see in the portrait she shows you,
00:29:41there is a very tiny,
00:29:43frightened looking little man with a bowler.
00:29:46And you see that there are all these enormous
00:29:48sort of like barbarian raider looking guys
00:29:52that are now wearing striped shirts
00:29:54and suspenders with bowler hats
00:29:56and are like hugging Buck's Be
00:29:58and lifting him up and going,
00:30:00he changed everything for us.
00:30:01So we,
00:30:03we created the bank of Fuhuia
00:30:05and we did not have to be repelled
00:30:07because we were raiding or pillaging.
00:30:09We came to towns and we said,
00:30:11does anyone here want to open an account?
00:30:13And then the ones who said yes,
00:30:15we gave them deposit slips
00:30:16and we said,
00:30:17this is where you can contact us.
00:30:18And the ones who said no,
00:30:20we burned their homes
00:30:21and chased them into the hills.
00:30:22And is this guy that looks like Bert still alive?
00:30:25Buck's Befolder?
00:30:27No, he passed, I am afraid.
00:30:30But I was thinking we could do
00:30:31an Ocean's 13,
00:30:33but if he's dead...
00:30:35Well, this could be him coming back to life.
00:30:38That's at least a suspect.
00:30:39Or a relative.
00:30:41Why does it have to be him coming back to life?
00:30:43Look, I'm not the brains of the operation, okay?
00:30:46He looks like Julia Roberts.
00:30:48Yeah.
00:30:48She says,
00:30:50the house of Fahuya descends on outlying villages
00:30:54in the land of Sud
00:30:56and offers them unbeatable interest rates
00:31:00on their savings accounts.
00:31:02And then for those...
00:31:03What are the interest rates on their savings accounts?
00:31:05Usually zero.
00:31:07What?
00:31:07That's not unbeatable.
00:31:09I guess it's unbeatable if you're the only bank.
00:31:11Yes, we have destroyed all the other retail banks in Sud.
00:31:13So that's why it's unbeatable.
00:31:15Yes, the main focus has been to
00:31:17what we call a hostile takeover.
00:31:20So, monopolization.
00:31:22Yeah.
00:31:23So, Fahuya doing great,
00:31:26but it has been very challenging
00:31:29because now a lot of people
00:31:32are very indisposed to our business model.
00:31:35They say it's not a business model.
00:31:37They say it is still raiding.
00:31:39No, it's true.
00:31:41They're right about that?
00:31:42Yeah, I think that from what you've described,
00:31:44you know,
00:31:45because you offered the accounts
00:31:46and if they said no, you pillaged.
00:31:48Yeah.
00:31:49Right, but we do.
00:31:50We put a lot of work into doing the statements,
00:31:53the monthly statements.
00:31:55So, we let people...
00:31:56Is the statement just,
00:31:57we still have your money?
00:31:58Yeah, that's what it is.
00:32:00What if they want to come get their money back?
00:32:02Then they can come and work on the ships.
00:32:05What?
00:32:05Why?
00:32:06Why do they have to work to get their money back?
00:32:08Well, because then we paid out their money to them
00:32:11and as a favor for us holding on to it.
00:32:13So, it's a job, essentially.
00:32:14What's that?
00:32:15You can understand how maybe someone
00:32:16doesn't care that you're working hard on that.
00:32:19Yeah.
00:32:21No.
00:32:22Fruya, where would the coordinates be
00:32:24if you had to guess
00:32:25if they stole coordinates from the power station?
00:32:31Where would they put that?
00:32:32It is very hard to say
00:32:34because, obviously, the asteroids move around a lot.
00:32:38Are there multiple asteroids?
00:32:39Yeah, the sky is better.
00:32:40Are they connected or is it individual branches?
00:32:44To be honest, biggest challenge of the bank
00:32:46is our regional branches keep streaking through the sky.
00:32:49Got it.
00:32:50So, they're completely unconnected.
00:32:52Every asteroid is a bank.
00:32:54No, not every,
00:32:55but I'd say there are probably about four dozen or so
00:32:58branch locations,
00:33:00all fiercely guarded by loyal bankers
00:33:02of the House of Fruya.
00:33:03But,
00:33:05there also are a lot of
00:33:07retail outlet locations.
00:33:10We have the Fruya long blimps
00:33:13and those usually will have
00:33:15a branch situated in between them.
00:33:17Okay.
00:33:18So, it is possible
00:33:19that those coordinates probably
00:33:22they will need to move
00:33:23because they want them to find their investment.
00:33:27So, they are looking for the research station.
00:33:31Right.
00:33:31So, all we have to do
00:33:32is find the repo men especially
00:33:34because they're going to be looking
00:33:35for comfort just like we are.
00:33:37I go to Gaj,
00:33:38I think,
00:33:38hey, Gaj,
00:33:39do you think we could send her in undercover
00:33:42and she can act like she's going back?
00:33:44I don't.
00:33:45I don't.
00:33:46You don't?
00:33:46Gaj, I have a question, actually.
00:33:49Why are you?
00:33:50Because she was trying to listen to your thing.
00:33:52So, that's why I'm changing the conversation,
00:33:55distracting her.
00:33:56What do you do when you find like a client
00:33:59who has a ton of money?
00:34:00Because I'm sure they don't just go
00:34:01to the regional bank.
00:34:02You probably want to bring that
00:34:04to someone big, right?
00:34:05Like when you meet someone who's like,
00:34:07oh, surprise,
00:34:08I'm a king of a kingdom you've never heard of
00:34:10and I want to open an account.
00:34:11Is there like a most important asteroid,
00:34:14most important banker?
00:34:15Who do they get to meet with?
00:34:18Rolfkar Halvorsen
00:34:19is the current bank president.
00:34:22So, if you went to Rolfkar
00:34:23and you said, great news,
00:34:25I have like the most richest person
00:34:28in this world
00:34:29who we just haven't reached yet,
00:34:32would you reach out to him?
00:34:34Yeah, I don't have the clearance
00:34:35for to reach out to him myself,
00:34:37but yeah, you would reach out to him.
00:34:39You see, Tors speaks up and goes,
00:34:41there are several paths
00:34:44that await you, I think.
00:34:48It depends on which is
00:34:51most appealing to you.
00:34:55It should be of note that
00:34:57there is a path of
00:35:00attempting to subvert espionage,
00:35:05sneak into these locations of who we are.
00:35:07Their greatest locations,
00:35:09their highest treasures,
00:35:11do abound.
00:35:14However, there is also
00:35:16the direct approach,
00:35:18which would be to outfit this ship
00:35:20more skillfully for combat
00:35:21and simply wage war on Fuhuya.
00:35:26Smash and grab.
00:35:28There is also something
00:35:30I will give of note,
00:35:31which is Fuhuya has enemies.
00:35:35those who do study their movements.
00:35:39Oh, we did.
00:35:41I was yelled at in the village.
00:35:44We could speak to
00:35:46the people who yelled at me.
00:35:49Was there something about them?
00:35:50That sounds fun for you.
00:35:51They seemed like they were
00:35:52from a larger group?
00:35:53I remember there were people
00:35:55that were wearing,
00:35:57there was two groups of people
00:35:59got mad at me for different reasons,
00:36:01and I'm trying to remember
00:36:01who got mad at me for what.
00:36:03Wow.
00:36:03Someone got mad at me
00:36:06for Romansu Power Station.
00:36:09Someone got mad at me
00:36:10for mentioning the house
00:36:10of Fuhuya.
00:36:12I believe they were wearing,
00:36:13some people were wearing orange
00:36:14and some people were wearing blue.
00:36:15Is that correct?
00:36:16Yes.
00:36:16Something like that.
00:36:17Sounds right.
00:36:18Do you think that
00:36:18we're going to be able
00:36:19to go back there,
00:36:20or do we got to go
00:36:21find those people
00:36:22somewhere else?
00:36:23I think we could probably
00:36:24find people somewhere else.
00:36:26All right.
00:36:27If they have,
00:36:28I mean, they have enemies.
00:36:29Torus, who are these enemies
00:36:30you're talking about?
00:36:31In the sea,
00:36:34in between the Salt-2
00:36:36and Oda,
00:36:40which is the largest power center
00:36:42on the next continent,
00:36:45traveling from here
00:36:48in the same direction,
00:36:50there are some noted pirates,
00:36:54clockwork pirates,
00:36:55who make their living
00:36:58seizing caravans
00:37:00of Fuhuya
00:37:01and other raiders
00:37:03for the most part.
00:37:05The pirates themselves
00:37:07are extremely dangerous,
00:37:10but most of their business
00:37:14is stealing from other raiders
00:37:18and violent pillagers
00:37:21and selling where they can
00:37:23to Sumara, Oda,
00:37:27other places like that.
00:37:29They're almost closer
00:37:30to say that they are privateers,
00:37:32except that they are not
00:37:33given contract
00:37:34by these other lands.
00:37:36Right.
00:37:36Well, maybe we could
00:37:38cut a deal with them
00:37:39that they can have this,
00:37:40if they helped outfit our ship,
00:37:42they could have the other spoils
00:37:44besides the coordinates.
00:37:47Yeah, we haven't been to Sumara.
00:37:48We haven't been to Oda.
00:37:50We could go in that direction.
00:37:52Yes, I think we should speak
00:37:53to these clockwork pirates.
00:37:56I mean, I love a pirate.
00:37:58You know that.
00:37:59Everybody knows Ben loves pirates.
00:38:01I love pirates.
00:38:02It's my people.
00:38:03They're pirates on the sea, right?
00:38:05Yes.
00:38:06They have, there are islands,
00:38:08small islands in the sea
00:38:11that they use as headquarters
00:38:14or bases,
00:38:14but they move from place to place.
00:38:17It's their heart to pin down
00:38:18or for who y'all
00:38:18would have crushed them long ago.
00:38:21All right.
00:38:22Well, seems like that's the move.
00:38:23It does.
00:38:24My 80-year-old brain
00:38:25is pretty saturated right now.
00:38:28I'm going to go play
00:38:28my harmonica and pet the dog.
00:38:30Okay, cool.
00:38:31I'll see if Daughterdale
00:38:32can go meet you over there.
00:38:34Hey.
00:38:35Elefra?
00:38:36Elefra's really bored.
00:38:37The matchmaking.
00:38:39I'm just kind of thinking
00:38:40something's in the air.
00:38:41Elefra, if you need something
00:38:42to occupy your mind,
00:38:44I've been a bit paternalistic.
00:38:45I haven't told you this directly.
00:38:46I heard a rumor
00:38:47that there's a kill switch
00:38:49on your back suit.
00:38:51That someone has a button
00:38:52they could press
00:38:53and kill whoever's inside of it.
00:38:55What?
00:38:56It's a rumor.
00:38:57Oh, yeah, so maybe
00:38:58you should just look into it.
00:38:59It's a rumor.
00:39:00Maybe you should just
00:39:01do some research on your thing.
00:39:02Okay, so instead of setting up
00:39:03an 80-year-old man
00:39:05with a random woman
00:39:06on the ship
00:39:07he's not interested in,
00:39:08I should go and see
00:39:09if there's something
00:39:09that's about to kill me
00:39:11every time I kill you.
00:39:11What's basically
00:39:11the only thing you know about me?
00:39:13Yeah.
00:39:13Yeah.
00:39:13I go right to the mech suit
00:39:18and on the way
00:39:19I pass Donterdale
00:39:19and go,
00:39:20I think we're all
00:39:20getting around to hear
00:39:21to hear Pappy
00:39:23do some harmonica work.
00:39:25It's a sort of
00:39:26private thing.
00:39:27I'm sorry, I tried
00:39:28to help you.
00:39:29It's private.
00:39:31I think a few of us
00:39:33are going to go
00:39:33listen to Pappy.
00:39:35Everybody got to get away from it.
00:39:36The harmonica
00:39:37and then I walk to my mech suit.
00:39:38I just feel like
00:39:39a leffard doesn't understand
00:39:40that if people on the ship
00:39:41start canoodling
00:39:42it means it's dangerous
00:39:44for everyone.
00:39:44It's bad.
00:39:45It's bad.
00:39:46That's how most mutiny stars.
00:39:49Yes, exactly.
00:39:50Two people couple up
00:39:51and they say,
00:39:51wow, we're really in love
00:39:52and maybe love
00:39:53is what powers the ship.
00:39:54Your book, I'm sure,
00:39:55has so much romance in it.
00:39:57Yes, between me
00:39:59and strangers.
00:40:00Yeah, it's always
00:40:01people we meet
00:40:02on the road.
00:40:03I spent most of the time,
00:40:04well, I left it out,
00:40:05but we shot each other
00:40:06a lot.
00:40:08All the moon priestess stuff,
00:40:10that was fun,
00:40:11but it was a lot of shooting.
00:40:14But also like Olethra,
00:40:15I don't know,
00:40:16if you see someone from me,
00:40:17let me know.
00:40:18I will, yeah.
00:40:19Now give me another project.
00:40:20Have you talked to Burt much?
00:40:23Olethra, you simply,
00:40:24have to stop.
00:40:25Olethra, are you off
00:40:27the side of the ship?
00:40:28Are you begging people
00:40:29to press this on?
00:40:29Olethra, you are messy.
00:40:31You are messy.
00:40:33You're absolutely messy.
00:40:34He was the first one
00:40:34who came to mind.
00:40:35I'm sorry.
00:40:37Yes, I'll keep my eyes
00:40:38up for you.
00:40:39I have good taste.
00:40:40Don't worry.
00:40:40Shall we point the ship
00:40:42in the direction
00:40:42of this sea in between?
00:40:44Yes.
00:40:46When we get to the sea,
00:40:47we might need to see
00:40:49what is happening
00:40:50with me.
00:40:52Did you write that?
00:40:54That was beautiful.
00:40:55Wow.
00:40:56I've been working on it.
00:40:57When we get to the sea.
00:40:58In my time off,
00:40:59I've dabbled.
00:41:00I've dabbled a little bit.
00:41:02It definitely feels like...
00:41:03Is it a sea shanty?
00:41:04It is a sea shanty, yes.
00:41:06Wow.
00:41:07Because it's a woman
00:41:08that wrote it.
00:41:08Yeah.
00:41:09It's a she shanty.
00:41:11A she shanty.
00:41:11Everyone has to stop.
00:41:14But Van, you're right.
00:41:15We should maybe start
00:41:16to figure out
00:41:17how we're going
00:41:18to make sure
00:41:18you can operate.
00:41:20Which, look,
00:41:20if I have to stay
00:41:21on the ship,
00:41:21that's fine.
00:41:22No.
00:41:22Van, you have a power.
00:41:24You are wielding
00:41:25the power of water,
00:41:26which is the only thing
00:41:27that can rust the machine.
00:41:28You are our secret weapon.
00:41:31Yeah, it seemed
00:41:31to have a reaction
00:41:32to Zurn.
00:41:33Yes.
00:41:33And that might be
00:41:34what we're fighting anyway.
00:41:36Yeah.
00:41:37Taurus, could you
00:41:38take a look at...
00:41:39I mean, Van,
00:41:40I don't want to volunteer.
00:41:41No, please volunteer.
00:41:42Just if...
00:41:43Taurus, would you be willing
00:41:44to look at the...
00:41:45I have the schematics here.
00:41:47Taurus is going
00:41:48to take a look at this.
00:41:50I'll give him guidance.
00:41:51Great.
00:41:54Taurus looks at it
00:41:55and goes...
00:41:56It is...
00:42:01beautiful work.
00:42:04She clearly put
00:42:05great care into this.
00:42:09But...
00:42:10it is...
00:42:13only a weapon
00:42:15as a disguise.
00:42:18I cannot tell
00:42:20if what it is
00:42:21is a bandage
00:42:22or a cage.
00:42:26But...
00:42:26there is something
00:42:28in there
00:42:29it is not
00:42:31rage
00:42:33or ruin.
00:42:35You see his eyes
00:42:37sort of gaze in
00:42:38and you see this
00:42:38red furnace energy
00:42:40in his head
00:42:41sort of glowing red
00:42:42behind his eyes.
00:42:44There is fear
00:42:46in...
00:42:48you.
00:42:51I'm actually
00:42:52really afraid.
00:42:56I'm not afraid.
00:42:57I'm just afraid.
00:43:00I'm not...
00:43:01Yes.
00:43:02Yes.
00:43:03Yeah.
00:43:04I was once
00:43:05told
00:43:06by Comfrey
00:43:08that fear
00:43:10was the prime
00:43:12ingredient
00:43:13of bravery.
00:43:14I wouldn't know.
00:43:18There is no room
00:43:20in my heart
00:43:21for anything
00:43:22other
00:43:22than rage.
00:43:26Must be nice.
00:43:28I'm not afraid
00:43:28for myself.
00:43:30I'm not afraid
00:43:30to die.
00:43:31I've faced that
00:43:31many times.
00:43:32I'm just afraid
00:43:33that I'll...
00:43:34you know.
00:43:35it is
00:43:41unbearable
00:43:44at times
00:43:45to
00:43:47wish
00:43:48to defend
00:43:49those
00:43:51under our
00:43:52protection
00:43:52and to be
00:43:54left standing.
00:43:56He looks at it
00:43:57and says...
00:43:58I can give you
00:43:59no...
00:44:01secrets here.
00:44:06Um...
00:44:06Monty,
00:44:07give me a
00:44:08medicine check
00:44:09if he'd be so kind.
00:44:10You got it.
00:44:14Ten.
00:44:15Can I flash
00:44:16a genius?
00:44:17Yeah.
00:44:17Can I get a 16?
00:44:18Yeah, yeah, yeah.
00:44:18How about it?
00:44:19I figured that
00:44:20plus one.
00:44:21Um,
00:44:21I maxed up...
00:44:22I have a...
00:44:24with our
00:44:24most recent
00:44:25epic level up,
00:44:26I made it
00:44:27so that my
00:44:27intelligence
00:44:28is 22.
00:44:30Ooh!
00:44:31I love it.
00:44:32That is nasty.
00:44:34Um...
00:44:35So smart.
00:44:36You're looking
00:44:36at a...
00:44:37there's a moment
00:44:37where
00:44:38the gauntlet
00:44:39is adjusted
00:44:40slightly
00:44:40and
00:44:41there's a sort
00:44:42of, like,
00:44:42pulse of a little
00:44:43electrical energy
00:44:45that goes
00:44:45through the gauntlet.
00:44:47Who's holding
00:44:48onto the jar
00:44:50with the handful
00:44:51of eyes?
00:44:52I put a blanket
00:44:54over it,
00:44:54so I guess
00:44:55I'm the closest
00:44:55to it, probably.
00:44:56Great.
00:44:57On a 16
00:44:59medicine check,
00:45:01you hear
00:45:01a little squeak
00:45:02from under
00:45:03that blanket.
00:45:06Gosh,
00:45:07yes?
00:45:07Do you mind
00:45:08if I
00:45:08look at the hand?
00:45:10It's not my hand.
00:45:11Take the blanket off.
00:45:13Take the blanket off.
00:45:14You take the blanket off.
00:45:16Do you touch it
00:45:17with your gauntlet?
00:45:18Sure.
00:45:19It seemed to be.
00:45:20You tap it,
00:45:22the hand twitches,
00:45:23and all of the eyes
00:45:24on it
00:45:25close shut.
00:45:26Now,
00:45:28that is interesting.
00:45:31Can I look
00:45:32a little bit more
00:45:33at this hand?
00:45:34Do they look like
00:45:35mammal eyes?
00:45:37No.
00:45:37Can I do some kind
00:45:38of perception check
00:45:39on the eye?
00:45:40Yeah, give me nature.
00:45:42Give me a nature check.
00:45:43Can I help?
00:45:44Yeah.
00:45:47Oh, so close
00:45:48to a 20.
00:45:4916.
00:45:50The eyes
00:45:50that they open
00:45:51are extremely
00:45:52salubrious.
00:45:53they look like
00:45:54they might be
00:45:55some kind
00:45:56of aquatic
00:45:56creature's eye.
00:45:58Hmm.
00:45:59Okay.
00:45:59Not mammalian.
00:46:01Maybe fish
00:46:02or mollusk
00:46:03or something else
00:46:04like that.
00:46:04Some kind of
00:46:05weird,
00:46:06but there's
00:46:06a little,
00:46:07like,
00:46:07there's like a big,
00:46:08wet pupil
00:46:09that's very shiny
00:46:10and a sort of,
00:46:10like,
00:46:11orange sclera.
00:46:12So maybe this hand
00:46:13isn't from Zern.
00:46:14Maybe it's from
00:46:15wherever the
00:46:16obtinent triangle
00:46:17leads through.
00:46:19I mean,
00:46:20this could be
00:46:21crazy.
00:46:22Dan,
00:46:23that's not
00:46:23your hand,
00:46:24is it?
00:46:26God,
00:46:27I don't know.
00:46:27Bloody hell.
00:46:28Oh,
00:46:28that's disgusting.
00:46:29Did you have
00:46:30any tattoos
00:46:30on your hand?
00:46:31Is it the same
00:46:32size as your
00:46:33other hand?
00:46:35Is that my hand?
00:46:36Give me
00:46:37a...
00:46:38I don't want it
00:46:38to be true.
00:46:39I just had the thought.
00:46:40Give me a...
00:46:41No, I'm glad
00:46:41you brought it up.
00:46:42Give me a
00:46:42perception check.
00:46:4916.
00:46:50Things suspended
00:46:52in fluid,
00:46:53especially a very
00:46:53viscous fluid,
00:46:54it could be hard
00:46:55to judge the
00:46:55true size of.
00:46:56You're, like,
00:46:57looking through
00:46:57a fishbowl.
00:46:58Put my other
00:46:58hand up to it.
00:47:00You put your
00:47:00other hand up to it.
00:47:02I mean,
00:47:02this hand is
00:47:03bloated because
00:47:05it has a bunch
00:47:06of eyeballs in it.
00:47:07It's, like,
00:47:08obviously sort of
00:47:08changed.
00:47:09It's not that
00:47:12it couldn't be
00:47:13your hand.
00:47:14It is a left
00:47:15hand.
00:47:15It is a left
00:47:17hand, correct.
00:47:18Wow.
00:47:19Can I get in
00:47:20the mech suit
00:47:20and look at,
00:47:21do some energy
00:47:22scans with my
00:47:23extra planar radio?
00:47:25Yeah, that's
00:47:25probably,
00:47:26because then you'll
00:47:27see if it's a
00:47:27venebrine also.
00:47:28so I'd like
00:47:30to check
00:47:31the eyes
00:47:33torst
00:47:36the book
00:47:37from Zurn
00:47:38and see
00:47:41if these are
00:47:41all falling
00:47:42into these
00:47:43kind of three
00:47:43energy categories.
00:47:44Yes.
00:47:45What you see
00:47:46is for the
00:47:47first time
00:47:48you see something
00:47:49that matches
00:47:50the energy
00:47:50signature you
00:47:51originally got
00:47:52off of Van,
00:47:53and that is
00:47:54the hand
00:47:55in the jar.
00:47:55that has
00:47:57an energy
00:47:58that was not
00:47:59reflected in
00:48:00Ramansu Power Station.
00:48:01It's not been
00:48:02reflected anywhere
00:48:03except for Van
00:48:04and this hand,
00:48:05right?
00:48:06I'll say,
00:48:07as you do that,
00:48:08torst,
00:48:08Zurnian energy,
00:48:09full stop.
00:48:10Same energy
00:48:10that was on
00:48:11the Strakabullet,
00:48:11same energy
00:48:12on the book,
00:48:13same energy
00:48:13that you've
00:48:14sort of seen
00:48:14all around,
00:48:16right?
00:48:16There's something
00:48:17else you were
00:48:17looking at,
00:48:17too.
00:48:18I was going
00:48:19to sidebar
00:48:19with Maria
00:48:20and say,
00:48:21would it be
00:48:22okay to look
00:48:23at the picture
00:48:23again and just
00:48:24see if anything
00:48:24has changed?
00:48:26Yeah.
00:48:28You just have
00:48:29to flash it.
00:48:32You just have
00:48:33to flash it.
00:48:35You ready?
00:48:35You ready?
00:48:36Yeah.
00:48:37Can I ask,
00:48:38can I ask,
00:48:38you flash it,
00:48:39are you guys
00:48:39doing this privately
00:48:40and out of sight?
00:48:41For this,
00:48:42yes,
00:48:42the rest of it
00:48:43is very open.
00:48:44Very open,
00:48:44gotcha.
00:48:45As you look
00:48:46at it,
00:48:47it's still,
00:48:48there's no energy,
00:48:49it's like a,
00:48:50still a blank
00:48:50energy signature.
00:48:52I tell you that.
00:48:53What seemed to me
00:48:54is that McLeod
00:48:55maybe found
00:48:56the Tenebrine
00:48:57bi-angle
00:48:58and set up
00:48:59a research station
00:48:59there and that
00:49:00is how she's
00:49:01done all this.
00:49:02Yeah.
00:49:03I agree.
00:49:03Oh,
00:49:04I was looking
00:49:04at the book
00:49:04as well
00:49:05and that is
00:49:06Xern.
00:49:06The book
00:49:06is pure
00:49:07Xerny.
00:49:08Okay.
00:49:08Yeah.
00:49:09Okay.
00:49:10And I'll,
00:49:10I'll say too,
00:49:13Van,
00:49:13are you still
00:49:13near the jar
00:49:14a little bit?
00:49:15I think
00:49:16I've maybe
00:49:17had them
00:49:18covered up
00:49:19and I'm
00:49:20like
00:49:20doing that thing
00:49:22where I'm like
00:49:22as far away
00:49:23from it as possible
00:49:23but also keeping
00:49:24my eyes on it
00:49:25the whole time.
00:49:26Yeah.
00:49:27I think as you
00:49:28look over,
00:49:29there's something
00:49:30on Van's gauntlet
00:49:31that in that
00:49:33little tap
00:49:34or whatever
00:49:35there's like a little
00:49:35residue of where
00:49:36Van tapped
00:49:37there is a little
00:49:38bit of that
00:49:38Zoodian
00:49:39energy.
00:49:42There's some
00:49:42kind of
00:49:43effulgent
00:49:44energy there
00:49:46if we want to
00:49:46refer to them
00:49:47as effulgent
00:49:48and califactory
00:49:49and obtenebrant.
00:49:51So clearly
00:49:51Van's gauntlet
00:49:53you wonder
00:49:54if the first time
00:49:55you got energy
00:49:55off of Van
00:49:56your energy
00:49:57was coming from
00:49:58something underneath
00:49:59the gauntlet.
00:50:00Got it.
00:50:01Got it.
00:50:02Yeah.
00:50:03And then
00:50:04just final
00:50:06scan
00:50:07Breya.
00:50:10Oh, Freya.
00:50:11Freya.
00:50:12Freya appears
00:50:13purely
00:50:14like Zoodian
00:50:15like
00:50:16in the same way
00:50:17that you are
00:50:17like just a person.
00:50:19Right?
00:50:19Yes.
00:50:19To your earlier
00:50:20point when I
00:50:21expressed
00:50:22a little bit of
00:50:23doubt in Freya
00:50:23it was more that
00:50:24any time she talks
00:50:26about the House
00:50:26of Fuhulyard
00:50:27it's just
00:50:28with so much
00:50:30reverence
00:50:31that I don't know
00:50:32that sending her
00:50:33in undercover
00:50:34is a great idea
00:50:35at this moment.
00:50:35She'd flip.
00:50:36She loves it.
00:50:36She'd flip like a pain.
00:50:37She frankly loves it.
00:50:38Yeah, it's true.
00:50:39Plus, yeah.
00:50:40Pirates seem more on space.
00:50:42Yeah.
00:50:42Let's get it.
00:50:42Let's get it.
00:50:43Flip like a pain.
00:50:45Hell yes.
00:50:47Hey, thanks.
00:50:48Anyone who wants to
00:50:48can give me a last
00:50:49like medicine
00:50:50or nature
00:50:51looking at
00:50:53looking at
00:50:54sort of the
00:50:55I'll just say
00:50:56I'll just give someone else
00:50:57all right.
00:50:58Can I try something?
00:50:59Yeah, yeah.
00:50:59If it's covered
00:51:00with a blanket
00:51:01Yeah.
00:51:02Guys, I'm not gonna do
00:51:03I'm not
00:51:04just trust me.
00:51:04Don't mess.
00:51:05I'm gonna
00:51:05if it's covered
00:51:06with a blanket
00:51:07I'm gonna point my gun
00:51:08at it
00:51:08and see if I can
00:51:09do a perception check
00:51:10to see if it notices
00:51:11with the blanket over it.
00:51:13Okay, give me insight
00:51:14for that actually
00:51:14and do it with advantage.
00:51:16Okay.
00:51:17Nice.
00:51:17Great.
00:51:18You're doing
00:51:18with the help action
00:51:19from Maria.
00:51:20I got good skills.
00:51:22I got a dirty 20 nature.
00:51:24Dirty 20 nature.
00:51:24Cool.
00:51:25Nat one
00:51:26and then a 19.
00:51:28Crit.
00:51:28Crit.
00:51:29Crit.
00:51:29What do we get
00:51:30for nature over here?
00:51:3023.
00:51:3123.
00:51:32Pappy pulls a gun
00:51:33gets
00:51:34Pappy.
00:51:35Yeah.
00:51:36I know.
00:51:36I love it.
00:51:37I crossed it.
00:51:38You pull the gun
00:51:39and there is no movement.
00:51:41Do you try it
00:51:42without the
00:51:43thing up as well?
00:51:44Yeah, I think we would pull it out.
00:51:44Okay.
00:51:45Try it.
00:51:45Try it both.
00:51:46You try it again without.
00:51:47You guys see eyes
00:51:48close in response
00:51:50and the hand moves
00:51:51in a weird way.
00:51:52Alathra on a crit.
00:51:55Planar
00:51:55energy
00:51:57twists and moves
00:51:58and you see
00:52:00moments of something
00:52:03that is invisible
00:52:04becoming visible
00:52:05and you are filled
00:52:07with a depth of horror.
00:52:09You cannot begin
00:52:10to countenance.
00:52:11As the hand moves
00:52:13something twists
00:52:16into view
00:52:17only on your instruments.
00:52:19So like
00:52:19as a readout
00:52:21of light
00:52:22on the back
00:52:23of the windshield
00:52:23of your mech
00:52:25that goes
00:52:26the eyes
00:52:28extend
00:52:30physically
00:52:31on the hand
00:52:32and as they
00:52:33wince
00:52:34and close
00:52:35eyes that you
00:52:36could not see
00:52:37until they close
00:52:39stretch away
00:52:40from the hand
00:52:41translucently
00:52:43through the glass
00:52:45of the bottle
00:52:45stretching up
00:52:47into the sky
00:52:48as a column
00:52:50of eyes
00:52:51winces
00:52:52reflected only
00:52:54at like the edge
00:52:55like seeing
00:52:56almost like
00:52:56heat coming off
00:52:57a grill
00:52:58and you see
00:52:59and you see
00:52:59three, four, five
00:53:01twisting
00:53:01tendrils
00:53:03that span
00:53:04larger than the sky
00:53:06vanish
00:53:07in a fraction
00:53:07of a second
00:53:08as though
00:53:09that hand
00:53:11were the tip
00:53:12of a being
00:53:14that is
00:53:15surrounding you
00:53:17at this very moment
00:53:19suffusing
00:53:21the ship
00:53:22yourselves
00:53:22each other
00:53:23and it is
00:53:24just around
00:53:25the corner
00:53:26of a different
00:53:27reality
00:53:28the eyes
00:53:29as they go
00:53:30the second
00:53:30they leave
00:53:31the hand
00:53:32actually become
00:53:34circles of a
00:53:35different sort
00:53:35you see
00:53:36they are
00:53:37suckers
00:53:39suction
00:53:40cover it up
00:53:41cover it up
00:53:41cover it up
00:53:41I tell everyone
00:53:42that
00:53:42do we get
00:53:43rid of this
00:53:44let's cover it up
00:53:46just cover
00:53:46I think we can
00:53:48just cover it up
00:53:49and really
00:53:50I'm going to put
00:53:51like a rubber band
00:53:52over it
00:53:52so it doesn't
00:53:53great
00:53:54can I check in
00:53:55my thing again
00:53:55is the blanket
00:53:56working
00:53:57you do not
00:53:59see
00:54:00you do not
00:54:01see those
00:54:01massive tendrils
00:54:02anymore
00:54:03maybe we make
00:54:04some room
00:54:04in the ioli
00:54:05fridge
00:54:05can I do a roll
00:54:06yeah do a roll
00:54:09if I crit again
00:54:10will you tell me
00:54:10if the blanket
00:54:11really works
00:54:12totally
00:54:12totally
00:54:12so close
00:54:16you guys
00:54:17fly
00:54:18knocks

00:54:27awake to a
00:54:28fresh batch
00:54:29of red velvet
00:54:30pancakes
00:54:31you see
00:54:32with cheddar cheese
00:54:34cheddar cheese
00:54:35frosting
00:54:35ew
00:54:36I need some
00:54:37kind of protein
00:54:38this is
00:54:39wonderful but
00:54:40you see he says
00:54:41protein
00:54:42we can do a
00:54:43little bit of
00:54:44sausage if you

00:54:56tried it
00:54:56boba
00:54:57inside
00:54:57ew
00:54:59popping boba
00:55:00in the sausage
00:55:00just sausage
00:55:02casing filled
00:55:02with boba
00:55:03mango popping
00:55:04boba
00:55:05inside the
00:55:06sausage
00:55:06it sauces
00:55:08itself
00:55:09it sauces
00:55:10itself
00:55:10it's genius
00:55:12man you're
00:55:13screaming
00:55:13it's
00:55:15it's
00:55:15still dark
00:55:18I was just
00:55:19asking
00:55:19I was just
00:55:20it's
00:55:20it's
00:55:21efficient
00:55:22as you guys
00:55:24are flying
00:55:24as you guys
00:55:25are flying over
00:55:26the sea
00:55:27is there anything
00:55:28that you guys do
00:55:29to approach the
00:55:29next day to try
00:55:30to find these
00:55:31pirates or is there
00:55:31anything else that
00:55:32you're up to
00:55:32what was the kind
00:55:33of things we would
00:55:34always look for
00:55:35when we were
00:55:35stealing shit
00:55:36from people
00:55:37the weakest link
00:55:39emotionally
00:55:40so it's a good
00:55:42place
00:55:42a good
00:55:42loose
00:55:43right
00:55:44pappy's
00:55:44disguise
00:55:46kit
00:55:46yeah
00:55:47would I have
00:55:48read something
00:55:49in one of
00:55:49Monty's books
00:55:50about
00:55:51trying to like
00:55:52be like
00:55:53having an idea
00:55:54of where we
00:55:55should land
00:55:55or find
00:55:56the pirates
00:55:57we got a guy
00:55:58on the inside
00:55:58at least
00:55:59I think that
00:55:59there's like
00:56:00an academic way
00:56:01to do it
00:56:01of like looking
00:56:02through books
00:56:02and stuff
00:56:03or you know
00:56:03aboard the
00:56:04Zephyr
00:56:04obviously most of
00:56:05your books
00:56:05are here from
00:56:06Gath
00:56:07which are not
00:56:07going to be
00:56:07super helpful
00:56:08here
00:56:08but the stuff
00:56:09you took
00:56:09from Ramansu
00:56:10might give
00:56:10you a hand
00:56:11so anyone
00:56:11that wants
00:56:11to give me
00:56:12investigation
00:56:12or history
00:56:13you can
00:56:13anyone out
00:56:14on the deck
00:56:14that's trying
00:56:15to do it
00:56:15sort of the
00:56:15old-fashioned
00:56:16way
00:56:16we can just
00:56:17look for the
00:56:17nerds
00:56:18with my
00:56:21zero perception
00:56:22great
00:56:22no the telescope
00:56:23has its own
00:56:24perception
00:56:24does it
00:56:25I'll just
00:56:26look with my
00:56:26eyes
00:56:27I'm going to
00:56:28look at my
00:56:28eyes
00:56:29perception
00:56:29or survival
00:56:30is good
00:56:3124 investigation
00:56:32nice
00:56:33do I get
00:56:34something with
00:56:34the telescope
00:56:35let me see
00:56:3623
00:56:36I rolled
00:56:37good so
00:56:38tell me what
00:56:38the telescope
00:56:39gets me
00:56:40okay great
00:56:40what did we
00:56:41get for our
00:56:42internal checks
00:56:42we got a 24
00:56:43investigation here
00:56:44great
00:56:44looking through
00:56:46some of the
00:56:46notes and
00:56:47stuff from
00:56:48Comfrey's place
00:56:48I think that
00:56:49you would look
00:56:50and see
00:56:50that there
00:56:51are some
00:56:53logs of
00:56:54where they're
00:56:55getting some
00:56:55of their
00:56:56equipment from
00:56:57and I think
00:56:57that you see
00:56:58that a lot
00:56:58of their
00:56:58ship
00:56:59weaponry
00:57:00they retrofitted
00:57:01the Zephyr
00:57:02Mark 2
00:57:03and it
00:57:05looks like
00:57:05a lot of
00:57:06that ship
00:57:06weaponry
00:57:07is coming
00:57:07from
00:57:08places that
00:57:09are very
00:57:09close to
00:57:10the coast
00:57:11so I think
00:57:11that you know
00:57:12that you
00:57:12probably don't
00:57:13need to head
00:57:13out into the
00:57:14deep middle
00:57:15of the sea
00:57:15somewhere
00:57:16it seems like
00:57:17there were
00:57:17some
00:57:18they said
00:57:19some
00:57:19couriers
00:57:20that were
00:57:20bringing them
00:57:21fresh
00:57:22weaponry
00:57:23but you
00:57:24notice that
00:57:24the weaponry
00:57:25would be a
00:57:25weird grab
00:57:26bag of stuff
00:57:27every time
00:57:28almost like
00:57:29the suppliers
00:57:30didn't always
00:57:30have a choice
00:57:31about what
00:57:32kind of
00:57:32weaponry
00:57:33they were
00:57:33going to be
00:57:33able to
00:57:34deliver
00:57:34yes
00:57:35and is
00:57:35that
00:57:36I'm wanting
00:57:38to say
00:57:39Odessa
00:57:39it's not
00:57:39that
00:57:40what's the
00:57:40Oda
00:57:41is that
00:57:41Oda
00:57:42coast
00:57:43you don't
00:57:43think so
00:57:44Oda
00:57:44looks like
00:57:45it's probably
00:57:45two days
00:57:46flight
00:57:46flying
00:57:47knocks
00:57:47from here
00:57:48Oda
00:57:48is the
00:57:48crystal
00:57:49city
00:57:49right
00:57:49I think
00:57:51someone said
00:57:51sycamore
00:57:52flyers
00:57:52got it
00:57:53the crystal
00:57:53city
00:57:54is
00:57:55Zumara
00:57:56as you
00:57:58look at
00:57:58that
00:57:58I think
00:57:59that you
00:57:59can start
00:57:59to pinpoint
00:58:00like a
00:58:00triangulated
00:58:01area
00:58:02on the
00:58:03map
00:58:03to go
00:58:04like back
00:58:05and forth
00:58:06which I think
00:58:07is going to
00:58:07give advantage
00:58:08on a piloting
00:58:09check from
00:58:10Maria
00:58:10as you nail
00:58:11down like
00:58:11the area
00:58:12you should be
00:58:12looking for
00:58:13what did we
00:58:14get for some
00:58:14of our
00:58:14perception
00:58:15checks over
00:58:15here
00:58:15I got a
00:58:1617
00:58:17but I don't
00:58:17know if I
00:58:18add anything
00:58:18you add
00:58:19nothing
00:58:19I was wrong
00:58:20what
00:58:21yeah
00:58:21you're just
00:58:22looking in
00:58:22a spyglass
00:58:23I'm standing
00:58:24next to him
00:58:25just looking
00:58:26with my
00:58:26eyes
00:58:26I got
00:58:27a 23
00:58:2723 great
00:58:28so you're
00:58:29looking through
00:58:29a spyglass
00:58:30you're looking
00:58:33it's plus
00:58:34five for the
00:58:34spyglass
00:58:35right
00:58:35my eyes
00:58:37just a bit
00:58:38hell yeah
00:58:39you're looking
00:58:40from a spyglass
00:58:41for a 23
00:58:41Pappy
00:58:42you see a
00:58:44little glint
00:58:45is that a little
00:58:46glint
00:58:46there's a little
00:58:47glint
00:58:47in one of the
00:58:48clouds
00:58:49there's like
00:58:49a little
00:58:50like a
00:58:50momentary
00:58:51thing
00:58:52that reflects
00:58:52a ray of
00:58:53sunlight
00:58:53across the
00:58:54deck of the
00:58:54ship
00:58:54that you catch
00:58:55very quickly
00:58:55from one of the
00:58:56clouds
00:58:56their cloud
00:58:57happened
00:58:58did someone
00:58:58else use
00:58:59our cloud
00:58:59idea
00:59:00disguising
00:59:00a ship
00:59:01as a cloud
00:59:01I think so
00:59:02I mean
00:59:03we can't have
00:59:03been the first
00:59:04people to think
00:59:05of that
00:59:05any other roles
00:59:06over here
00:59:06I should know
00:59:06about
00:59:06it was an
00:59:07awesome idea
00:59:0816th survival
00:59:08great idea
00:59:09no you're right
00:59:10nothing's original
00:59:12it makes sense
00:59:13that it's
00:59:14someone came
00:59:15across
00:59:16you head out
00:59:17and you are
00:59:18now crossing
00:59:19the swirling
00:59:21sea
00:59:21the swirling
00:59:23sea as you
00:59:23look down
00:59:24I think
00:59:24Monty
00:59:25once you get
00:59:26past the
00:59:26breakers at
00:59:27the coast
00:59:27there are
00:59:28truly enormous
00:59:31whirlpools
00:59:32probably any given
00:59:33time flying at
00:59:34this elevation
00:59:34you can see
00:59:35somewhere between
00:59:36six to a dozen
00:59:37massive whirlpools
00:59:40and every once
00:59:40in a while
00:59:41there will be
00:59:41an enormous
00:59:42of a geyser
00:59:44coming out of
00:59:45one of the
00:59:45whirlpools
00:59:45as seawater
00:59:46plumes up
00:59:47like 80
00:59:48or 120
00:59:49feet into the
00:59:50air
00:59:50and you'll see
00:59:52like fish
00:59:53sort of like
00:59:53glide down
00:59:54on like
00:59:55diaphanous
00:59:55gossamer wings
00:59:56from them
00:59:57it appears to
00:59:58just be
00:59:58this place
00:59:59that has
00:59:59some intense
01:00:00geological
01:00:01activity
01:00:01that is like
01:00:02creating suction
01:00:03whirlpools
01:00:04to go down
01:00:04to the sea
01:00:05bottom
01:00:05the water
01:00:06here is
01:00:07like aquamarine
01:00:09coral green
01:00:10tropical
01:00:11kind of water
01:00:12and you see
01:00:14there's like
01:00:14a lot of
01:00:14coral
01:00:14you can like
01:00:15from the sky
01:00:16see the darkness
01:00:18of stony
01:00:19outcroppings
01:00:20and then the
01:00:21brightness of
01:00:21coral reefs
01:00:22so out here
01:00:23the sea is
01:00:24far from being
01:00:25a monochrome
01:00:25color
01:00:26it is like
01:00:26a wild
01:00:28coral
01:00:29vegetative
01:00:29life-filled
01:00:31landscape
01:00:32of near to
01:00:33coast ocean
01:00:34life
01:00:35stretching quite
01:00:36far out to
01:00:37sea
01:00:37probably like
01:00:38at least
01:00:3810 or 20
01:00:39nautical miles
01:00:40out to sea
01:00:40Monty completely
01:00:41forgets he's
01:00:42supposed to be
01:00:42looking for
01:00:42pirates
01:00:43the coral
01:00:47patterns are
01:00:48incredible
01:00:48can we work
01:00:50with the coral
01:00:51does the coral
01:00:52have something
01:00:52against what we are
01:00:53i mean there's
01:00:54a chance
01:00:54coral and zude
01:00:55could be
01:00:56sentient but
01:00:57there's only one
01:00:58way to know
01:00:58it'd be to
01:00:59touch down
01:00:59but we don't
01:01:00have time
01:01:00as you surge
01:01:02forward from
01:01:03here
01:01:03i love the
01:01:04life
01:01:04but
01:01:04does anyone
01:01:06want to
01:01:07i grapple
01:01:08Monty
01:01:08Monty
01:01:09Monty
01:01:10it's not
01:01:10worth it
01:01:12alright
01:01:12announce ourselves
01:01:15to whoever
01:01:16is glinting
01:01:18in the
01:01:18distance
01:01:19we could always
01:01:20glint back
01:01:21glint back
01:01:21yeah we have a
01:01:22little
01:01:22flash your
01:01:23smile
01:01:24oh yeah
01:01:25what was that
01:01:27they must have
01:01:29heard that
01:01:29from the other
01:01:29ships
01:01:30i'll grab a
01:01:30mirror or
01:01:31something or
01:01:31something reflective
01:01:32and
01:01:32hell yeah
01:01:33i think the
01:01:33ship has a
01:01:34little reflect
01:01:35oh yeah
01:01:35you got a
01:01:3623 right
01:01:36anyone else
01:01:37go ahead and
01:01:37give me
01:01:37perception with
01:01:38advantage
01:01:38as you're
01:01:39as you're
01:01:40gazing
01:01:40you look
01:01:41exactly
01:01:42not 20
01:01:43hey
01:01:44212
01:01:46what you see
01:01:49in that cloud
01:01:50is the glint
01:01:51appears to be
01:01:53a little
01:01:53mechanical
01:01:54bauble
01:01:55as the ship
01:01:56flies closer
01:01:57to it
01:01:57what you
01:01:58actually see
01:01:59there is a
01:02:00parachute
01:02:01that appears
01:02:02to be
01:02:02almost like
01:02:04cloud
01:02:06translucent
01:02:07wax paper
01:02:08parachute
01:02:09that is actually
01:02:10sort of suspended
01:02:11or hanging
01:02:12on the top
01:02:13of the vapor
01:02:13of the cloud
01:02:14as you go
01:02:15by it
01:02:15and suspended
01:02:17on this sort
01:02:17of white
01:02:18silken twine
01:02:20is a small
01:02:22bauble
01:02:22and as
01:02:24you sort
01:02:24of go
01:02:25past
01:02:25the parachute
01:02:26goes
01:02:26and you
01:02:27see
01:02:27sticks
01:02:28to the
01:02:29side
01:02:29of the
01:02:29zephyr
01:02:30and as
01:02:30it does
01:02:31you now
01:02:31have a
01:02:31little
01:02:32blinking
01:02:32bauble
01:02:33attached
01:02:33to your
01:02:34ship
01:02:34seems like
01:02:35a tracking
01:02:35thing
01:02:36can I
01:02:38grab it
01:02:39and cast
01:02:39identify
01:02:40on it
01:02:40yes
01:02:41absolutely
01:02:41careful
01:02:42in case
01:02:42it's a
01:02:42bomb
01:02:43okay
01:02:44I grab it
01:02:46and then I
01:02:47fly away
01:02:48in one of the
01:02:48dinghies
01:02:49if it goes
01:02:50off
01:02:51she has
01:02:54to do
01:02:54this
01:02:55there's
01:02:57no other
01:02:57way
01:02:58you're like
01:02:59the woman
01:02:59in Shogun
01:03:00just constantly
01:03:01trying to keep
01:03:02you from
01:03:02dying
01:03:03you look
01:03:05and see
01:03:06as you cast
01:03:07identify
01:03:07on this
01:03:08you do
01:03:09see
01:03:09that this
01:03:10is a
01:03:11homing
01:03:12beacon
01:03:12and the
01:03:13technology
01:03:14is pretty
01:03:15incredible
01:03:15looking at
01:03:16it
01:03:16you see
01:03:17that there
01:03:17is
01:03:18what looks
01:03:18like a
01:03:19small
01:03:19photograph
01:03:20of a
01:03:21clockwork
01:03:22face
01:03:23set
01:03:24into a
01:03:25little
01:03:25crystal
01:03:25receptor
01:03:26and as
01:03:28it is
01:03:28sort of
01:03:28clicking
01:03:28it appears
01:03:29that there's
01:03:30a like
01:03:31bit of
01:03:31crystal
01:03:32that you
01:03:33recognize
01:03:33as maybe
01:03:34being from
01:03:34the asteroid
01:03:35belt
01:03:36that sort
01:03:37of surrounds
01:03:38Zood the
01:03:38whole way
01:03:39out
01:03:39but looking
01:03:40at this
01:03:40I think
01:03:40as you guys
01:03:41identify on it
01:03:42it is
01:03:42clearly a
01:03:42homing
01:03:43beacon
01:03:43it's
01:03:44basically
01:03:44a mine
01:03:45right
01:03:45it's like
01:03:46left in
01:03:46the cloud
01:03:47to be
01:03:48sort of
01:03:48hidden
01:03:48that a
01:03:50ship
01:03:50would come
01:03:51through
01:03:51get this
01:03:52thing stuck
01:03:52to it
01:03:53and suddenly
01:03:54be triggered
01:03:54as moving
01:03:55right
01:03:55and looking
01:03:57at that
01:03:57cloud
01:03:58looking at
01:03:58this little
01:03:58mine
01:03:59you look
01:03:59on the
01:03:59back
01:04:00and see
01:04:00that there
01:04:01is
01:04:01a pair
01:04:02of crossed
01:04:03bones
01:04:04and a
01:04:05skull
01:04:05and you
01:04:06see that
01:04:06the skull
01:04:07appears to
01:04:08be like
01:04:08a
01:04:09clockwork
01:04:10or
01:04:10automaton
01:04:11head
01:04:11okay
01:04:13first things
01:04:14first
01:04:14I'm gonna
01:04:15cast
01:04:15pyrotechnics
01:04:16and pretend
01:04:16like it
01:04:17was a
01:04:17bomb
01:04:17oh no
01:04:18I got
01:04:19the bomb
01:04:19oh my god
01:04:21oh my god
01:04:22a finale
01:04:23wow
01:04:24you're the
01:04:26captain now
01:04:26me
01:04:28it has to be
01:04:29gotta step up
01:04:30and then I'm gonna
