01:52Well, as you may or may not know, I have four children of my own,
01:55and they have inspired me to create my newest fashion line,
01:58Truly Scrumptious for Babies.
02:01Shopping and designing for them can be fun but also very expensive.
02:05So I've teamed up with Baby Zara's to create an affordable collection.
02:09And for this challenge, I'd like you to create a look for my line.

08:24something a little bit more dressy so i decided to make one in a girly kind of way is this practical
08:30when it comes to cleaning maybe not what do you think heidi you're the mom i understand you guys
08:37have to be practical but also we don't want to make basics no you don't want to make a regular
08:42legging and just like a regular you know tunic top there's fashion invested in this project runway
08:47and i want you guys to make like a special piece for the line now you have to come up with something
08:52good underneath and not mess it up i'll try not to so cute heidi never usually likes anything i do um
09:01so it feels really good to hear that she actually likes what i did the initial thought behind my idea
09:07a little school uniform but then flipped around so the flap is actually on the back oh yes and then
09:14the monster print goes on the lining of the straps inside the pockets which you never see though
09:20really right would it be too much if you showed a tiny little bit i don't think so actually it's nice
09:25you have to think mom wants to dress her baby cute and happy colors i'm making a jumpsuit with these two
09:32pieces here it looks like it's carrying a backpack is it the bad thing it's disjointed i think because of

09:48to do like a sweatshirt blazer very soft and easy to wear are the pants going to match the jacket yes i
09:54think the more detail you can put into it i think the more a mom would appreciate it yeah because you
09:59get a lot of design exactly a good price okay so you have a little asymmetrical collar that's exactly
10:05what she wanted a denim jacket asymmetrical collar is that specific three quarters sleep in white in
10:12white she was very specific yes how do you respond to that heidi why not white definitely something you
10:21wear it for one day and then it goes in the washing machine what are these these are little details that
10:25i was thinking of doing where do they go on either the front or the back panel here why don't you
10:32make a skirt with this like a whole entire flower skirt i mean that'd be really cute i'm just thinking
10:37like maybe it's all white and i don't know cool i really want to make heidi happy heidi's the buyer

10:50debating on putting a hood on it but where is the fun fact going to be i'm just wondering

19:11judge for today actress and new mom hello welcome we will score your designs as they come down the runway
19:18two of you will be named the winners and one of you will be out okay let's start the show
19:24they look adorable they go together colors match well i gave bobby a very crisp look it's something
19:39that it's really durable that you can watch a lot and he feels comfortable in it
19:54juliana is super super cute i love the vest but then i think the white dress is a little boring
20:04and it rides up two points that aren't very good for me
20:10the shorts on the mom oh my god i'm in shock that i even put that down the runway
20:15i just have a bad feeling
20:30hi the mom looks beautiful but effortless my outfit for the baby is so comfortable and it's very unique
20:40it's modern and it's still playful and it's different
20:57oh yeah this fusion between kind of the dressy and the casual is really cool and really comfortable for
21:05boys i was able to take a boy's look which is completely out of my comfort zone and really
21:12make it special and gorgeous i'm really proud of myself i really am
21:19i think it's the cutest thing they look really sophisticated they look like they're going to sunday brunch
21:33i'm in love with the feeling that i get when i look at their garments and them they look really cute
21:47i'm really happy with the way everything turned out my outfit on the mom looks really good

23:21i wanted to do like a little twist on a sportswear like blazer jacket and then make it out of sweatsuit
23:28fabric so it'd be very comfortable and really easy to wear for a kid for amy's look i just wanted something
23:32really easy going so i gave her a nice cute maxi dress and a cute little um denim jacket that she can
23:38kind of wear with pretty much anything he looks sharp and he does look like a little man a little
23:44man which i quite like but it's still fun he looks really comfortable in it you two look great together
23:52and your son is really cute thank you so much i think i agree with everything that you said he can
23:58move in it which is so important you see he's just you can tell he's ready to just move i love that
24:03you can dress it up and down i think it's it's really good and i love what mom is wearing as well
24:08thank you it's giving him a sense of being tailored but it's kind of tailored with sweats combined
24:15so he looks polished but modern and i love heidi's fabric as the tank underneath because i think it's
24:22kind of like he's in his tailored perfect suit but he's got that shot of fun you look as polished but
24:29comfortable as he does i think it's no fuss but it looks really smart three pieces i think it's perfect

24:58melissa tell us about your looks for the baby i did a little asymmetrical
25:03denim vest and then underneath i did like a white denim kind of t-shirty dress and then has a exposed
25:09side set i do have to say i love this jacket it fits in really well with what i already have what
25:16i don't love is a dress underneath one i feel like it is a little too simple and she constantly has to
25:23cover her butt because it always rides up like you don't really want to expose the diaper
25:29then it has a zipper on the side which i feel like on baby's skin is a little iffy in terms of mom
25:38i think it's smart that you gave her pants i'm not sure about linen she looks too messy you know i think
25:44your mistake with both mom and baby were fabric mistakes the baby's dress is in kind of a crisp cotton
25:54which automatically gets crunchy so i think something softer would have worked better the
26:00vest is fabulous because it automatically adds personality it has charm i think you dress mom
26:06smarter than anyone else and i like the attitude that she looks polished but she can move
26:13the vest is adorable is whimsical the dress i think is too serious for a little girl and i also think that
26:21you'd cut the dress too narrow it's just not very practical but until you have a baby and a kid you
26:28don't know those things thank you
26:34fabio tell us about your looks so i was just thinking of something that would be easy for him
26:39to wear and i wanted to just like make a little fun with like the piping just accents of colors and also
26:45with the pockets and just incorporate the print that you had with the little monsters and for k i just
26:50wanted to give her something that was really feminine that would celebrate her figure and i
26:54really like the way that the hand just um flows really beautiful yeah i think it's kind of a modern
27:02take on nautical which you know i think for little boys i think it's a tried and true thing you know it's
27:09very practical which of course is so important fabio i love his look i think it's great that it is a one
27:17piece because it just makes it really easy it's nice how you gave so many little details so he does
27:25still look like a baby you kind of gave him a little bit of a waist so it could look like two pieces
27:30but it is one for mom on the other hand she looks momsy this is a little bit too too old this
27:37this dress for her i actually really liked both mom and baby i think it was really smart to pick a onesie
27:47it's very cute it has all the print and it's adorable but it's not too cutesy that he looks like
27:52too much of a baby he's not a little baby anymore he's 14 months so it's very appropriate i love his
27:59outfit the cut is so cute it's really adorable he looks like a little old-fashioned baby thank you

28:14elena tell us about your looks so i wanted to make something that could either be dressed up or down
28:19and i saw the embroidery the flowers and the hearts that i really liked so i made a mock-up right here
28:27to go with it i made just a simple long t-shirt and some jean pants with a stretchy waistband
28:35for tamayo she likes very form-fitting stuff so i decided to go with like a comfier
28:41stretched jersey kind of fabric with the skirt and like a tank top that she can mix and match with other
28:48stuff i think the jacket is really well crafted i feel like though what you've put lumi in
28:55it looks a little bit like a baby sample sale i don't get the connection between the embellished
29:04t-shirt in pink the green pants the ruffles on the jacket it's a lot going on i have to say the
29:11showstopper here is the jacket i think that you did a great jacket where i thought when you threw
29:17this look away a little bit is the pants you know you have to pull and tug a lot to kind of get her
29:24not look too disheveled you know i love um the jacket i think the way that the collar stands up
29:30because of the volume and the way it's pleated is really cute thank you well i hate to disagree but i
29:36think actually the jacket is the problem i think there's no practicality to this jacket whatsoever
29:43you know you're gonna need to dress her and undress her at the drop of a hat okay so that's
29:52that's my opinion what do you think about the mom's look i like the mom's look it was my favorite the
29:57mom's look was great but this is not a mom's challenge it's a baby challenge tamayo and lumi thank
30:06you very much you can leave the runway you never wake a sleeping baby nope dimitri tell us about your
30:14look i wanted to make something cool sporty modern but soft at the same time and it has a cool hood and
30:23if you unzip it it becomes like a cool detail and for mom i wanted to make something comfortable as well
30:31that but modern and she can dress it up dress it down with she can wear it with flip-flops or high
30:38heels i like how graphic his outfit is unfortunately i think because of the hood he's a little superhero-ish
30:48so it could get borderline costume to me when the hood is open it's it turns into a cape a lot of kids
30:54clothes do though i thought about it yes yeah there's a lot of t-shirts that have capes already
31:00on the back they love it michael really yes this is a trend it is a trend because they're dreaming that
31:07they're superheroes so i didn't know you see i've got three moms here are teaching me okay as far as
31:13mom i think she's very chic looking and i think that they have the same flavor i think it definitely is
31:21borderline costume but i happen to like that i think it's cute it's a lot of red but i like it
31:29and i love mom's outfit i would wear that in a heartbeat thank you i think they both look very
31:36modern i think it is definitely out there it's not maybe as commercial you know but i think that
31:42there are a lot of moms that would like that thank you thank you very much edga and arjun for coming

32:02christopher tell us about your looks we looked through the swatches together and we decided on a
32:08white denim jacket and i ran with these white daisies held on by snaps and just made it really fun
32:16for like a special occasion very summer when you see this coming down the runway it looks adorable i
32:23just think it's not very practical i have to say i like this look and to me this is kind of like
32:30one dress in the line that is kind of the one that you wear on a sunday when you go to brunch or when
32:36you kind of dress your baby up a little bit more but i think it's adorable it's one of those outfits where
32:41you just can't resist because you just look so cute in it thanks i think mom also looks very good
32:48you know again we have flowers it's not super matchy matchy it works to me i don't think the jacket's
32:55working well but the special occasion dress for her i think is great i think the headpiece is adorable
33:03i happen to think the floral print sheath that you made here for mom is fabulous where the baby would
33:11wear that outfit you would wear that dress they're both going to a sunday brunch you're both going to
33:16something that's you know i love the dress i think it's sweet i love the way that the flowers and the
33:22aren't sewn down and it it does give a lot of movement it's very whimsical the jacket is cut
33:28really well i think it looks great on her but also the headpiece i love i feel like that's framing
33:33her face and really adorable thank you nancy and nile thank you very much for being here today thank you

33:55of designing with a little infant and i have to be honest this is going to be a very hard decision

34:22talk about fabio i liked fabio's outfit a lot i think he did a really good job too he thought about it
34:29baby looked really cute i like that he did nautical for a little boy without doing the kind of cliche
34:36nautical um i like that it looked like separates but it wasn't and velcro was really smart yeah
34:43because it has all the great detail of the buttons but it's just velcro that's awesome i loved fabio's
34:48i thought it was boyish and fun and easy and practical and it was just well done let's talk about sanji
34:57i love that look one of my favorite looks today it was comfortable it was modern but you could dress
35:03it up you could dress it down i love the little t-shirt underneath and you know what it's three
35:08separate items that you can combine with other things in his wardrobe very practical okay let's
35:14talk about dimitri i like dimitri's look it could be like one of those pieces that your kid just wants
35:22to put on over and over again because it is red because it is bright because there is that car on the
35:28front it could be one of his favorite pieces to wear it almost looks like a crayon he's a great
35:36he's a crayon with the hat on he's a bit of a crayon he looks like a crayon i think it's very graphic
35:43the way he did the trim it looks like it he didn't try too hard and it's very boyish to me yeah adorable
35:50let's talk about christopher i have to say i loved little nile in that cute little dress and jacket
35:58i thought it had charm it had workmanship and it just made me smile you know i loved how he
36:04he kind of cut out all these little flowers and the way he attached them and the little leaves i think
36:10that it had a lot of wow effect i like the dress more than the jacket you know it's probably a bit of
36:17a tug of war getting a child into that jacket the movement of the dress with the flowers not sewn down
36:22it was just whimsical and sweet okay let's talk about elena i agree with you what you said today
36:28that it looked like a sample sale when you said that i was like that is it whatever you might think
36:33of each individual piece it just looked like i don't know hand-me-downs it was just all over the
36:39place i did love the jacket though i think the jacket looked really well made i thought there was a lot
36:45of interest you know it doesn't look like it's the easiest thing to get in and out of and she didn't
36:50look like she could move around that well in it but i also will buy things because i think they're
36:54adorable and i want to see my son in it and it's not practical who did have to tug a lot on her little
