01:22You smell that?
01:25Fresh air.
01:26No dust.
01:27A clean vehicle.
01:29Are you hating on my van again?
01:30I'm just saying, today, since we have my clean vehicle that we enjoy, Melody is a passenger, and we don't want her smelling dust.
01:39Well, what happens when I buy something dirty right now?
01:43It's not coming in this vehicle.
01:44For the safety of our child, I'll do my best not to snag a big dusty locker today.
01:49I'm going to buy small, and I'll try to stay as clean as I can.
01:53I mean, it is Lancaster.
01:54It's kind of dusty out here.
01:56Not just because I'm here.
01:57I've been driving from desert to desert, over the desert, under the desert, through the desert, and all I see is dried-up-ass cactuses and tumbleweed.
02:11Tumbleweed.
02:12But I'm going all the way to Lancaster, hoping to find me a nice, happy, fun unit.
02:19You know, some games and stuff in there.
02:21Video games, that is.
02:22I don't care what they say, bruh.
02:24Video games is where the money's at.
02:26And I mean big money.
02:28Here I come, Lancaster.
02:37The Lord of Lancaster has arrived.
02:44These peasants better stay out of my way.
02:47The only person that's going to make money around here is me, the Lord of Lancaster, Ivy.
02:52Well, hello, everybody.
02:53Hi.
02:54How are you?
02:55Wonderful.
02:56Welcome to the high desert.
02:57Yeah, I'm part of that.
02:59Don't go away.
03:00Bow.
03:01Oh, I like that.
03:02There it is.
03:02Get to do this.
03:03There you go.
03:04So he's from here, right?
03:05Oh, he's close to home.
03:06He's wearing shorts.
03:07Don't forget where you are at.
03:09Double taxes on him.
03:10What?
03:11We'll talk about her taxes later.
03:12Triple on him.
03:14Triple on him.
03:15She's already got targets.
03:16104 percent.
03:18104 percent.
03:19Let the games begin, Lord of Lancaster.
03:23Let the games begin, Lord of Lancaster.
03:24Lisa!
03:24What's going on for sure?
03:25Oh, look at you.
03:26Where do we begin?
03:27Giddy up.
03:28Everyone, it's Bring Your Friend to Auction Day.
03:31It's Bring Your Friend to Auction Day.
03:33Yes, and this is my friend, Carrie.
03:34Carrie, nice to meet you, Amora.
03:36You are adorable.
03:37You look so cute.
03:38I love it.
03:39You too.
03:40Hey, look it.
03:41I want to ask you, what is going on here?
03:43We're a little cowgirls today.
03:44Did you guys know each other?
03:45No.
03:46I do both of them, actually.
03:47Oh, you're adorable.
03:48Carrie doesn't even know.
03:49Carrie, these are original Carrie shirts.
03:51Oh, my gosh.
03:52I thought we needed some cowgirl energy.
03:53Oh, I love your cowgirl energy.
03:55Carrie, you're getting nuts to me.
03:56Hello.
03:57Hi, Andy.
03:57This is what day?
03:59Bring Your Friend to Auction Day.
04:00You didn't get the memo?
04:01We call that Share Your Money Day.
04:04So whatever you make is now 50%.
04:06Who wants that?
04:06That's bad business.
04:07We double buy power, though.
04:09We double buy, double profit.
04:11Double split.
04:12Yeah.
04:12I was like, we're both.
04:12Double travel.
04:14That it is.
04:14Double bubble.
04:14That's the only part of it that's true.
04:16You know, it sounds like you're scared of us as a team.
04:19I knew it was a good idea to bring Carrie along.
04:21You know the old saying, I'm the muscle, she's the mouth.
04:25All right.
04:26We might want to ask the blessing of the Lord of Lancaster.
04:29We can continue with this auction in Lancaster.
04:32Woo!
04:33My lands are your lands today.
04:36Thank you, Lord of Lancaster.
04:38Welcome to the auction.
04:39We're Dan and Lord Austin.
04:40And before you go through these gates, you need to know the rules.
04:43You're going to go to the unit, remove the lock, open the door, and give you five minutes
04:45to take a look around.
04:46You can't go inside.
04:48You can't open any boxes.
04:49And who's ever got the most money in their pocket?
04:51Can own it today?
04:51Are you ready?
04:52Yeah!
04:53Let's go, let's go, let's go.
04:54All right, folks.
04:54Let's go, let's go.
04:55Let's go.
04:56We're going to go on a hike.
05:00Get your lucky feet together, because Lancaster has got some loot for you.
05:05Are you excited?
05:05I am.
05:06What's your strategy?
05:08Do you hang back, or do you go straight?
05:10Like, I would like to say that I have a strategy.
05:13My strategy?
05:14No strategy, Carrie.
05:17All right, here we go, folks.

05:58Hold on, is Dan not looking?
06:01Hey, hey.
06:02What?
06:02He thinks he's so slick.
06:04He thinks, oh, I've been to so many of these sales.
06:06Nobody will see me slipping my foot in there, seeing how much weight is there.
06:09Yeah.
06:09Come on.
06:10I think he should be banned.
06:11Banned from my land.
06:12All right, Lord of Lancaster.
06:15Ha-ha.
06:15You gonna allow that?
06:16Call him a general to have him beheaded.
06:18You don't have to go that far.
06:19We need his head.
06:21And his hands.
06:21Leave his head in his hands.
06:22This is, like, your type of stuff.
06:24This is clean.
06:25This is electronics.
06:27It might be kind of tasty.
06:28You don't want this.
06:30Sia, this don't fit your kingdom.

06:34Thank you, Sia.

08:13Remote controllers.
08:14All these here remote controllers, I say it's about $75 right here.
08:19What we got?
08:21Yeah.
08:22Whoa, this might be worth something.
08:24The iPad.
08:25This one here, it's a Samsung.
08:27I say about $50.
08:28$25 a few.
08:31Wires.
08:32Got some more remote controls.
08:35I say this basket here, about $50 worth of stuff right here.
08:39Now, this is why I bought it.
08:40We got some PlayStations.
08:45This game's worth some money, because you can't play all them games on the old games or new games.
08:49You know what I mean?
08:50Two PlayStations, another PlayStation.
08:52PlayStation 3.
08:53So I say this whole box, it'll go about for $500.
08:56Money.
08:57I'm only halfway through, and I done already made my money back.
09:01The rest of this is going to be for hamburgers on the way back home.
09:04Let's see what else we got.
09:06Here, the Sony speakers.
09:08What is in here?
09:10What is this?
09:11Oh, I remember him.
09:12PlayStations, I remember this shit.
09:13When the games didn't want to play, you had to flip his ass over like this to get him to play.
09:17Vintage games with the Wii and the Xbox first one, $200 thing right here.
09:22Okay.
09:24This here, this is for racing the car.
09:26Put it between your legs like this, and you be driving it like you're driving a go-kart.
09:30$10, bro.
09:31Let's see what's in here, America.

09:57I ain't gonna lie to you, I don't know how to use half of these.
10:00What we got?
10:03You can start a knife, a gun.
10:05A craftsman, this is pretty good.
10:06That's here, about $20.
10:09Oh, where this s**t is.
10:13Yeah!
10:14Oh!
10:15What do we got here?
10:20It look like a little telescope or something.
10:22They got weights in here, come to weights.
10:24They got all kind of information for it, you know?
10:26I can't understand that for that.
10:28It feels like it's in German.
10:29Kufor and Shaw, instructions for placing transitions in the box.
10:36They give you instructions on how to put it in the box.
10:38But they don't give you instructions of what it's used for.
10:41We need to go get this looked at by a professional and make sure we can get some money out of this here.
10:48Okay.
10:49I said, the last thing we got, we got three computer screens that's outdated.
10:53No money.
10:53This locker had me sweating.
10:55But in the end, I got what I came for.
10:58And that's video games.
11:01Bruh, I gotta get back to the office.
11:02Oh, boy, okay.
11:07That's not empty at all.
11:09It's a hand dryer unit.
11:13Looks like a lot of stuff still in the boxes in here.
11:15Bed, a lot of kitchen cooking.
11:17I'm not into kitchen stuff, but if it'll sell, I'll buy it.
11:20What's in those totes?
11:21Is that Christmas?
11:22Clean Christmas.
11:23Nail stuff, gel box.
11:25There's a lot of paper, but there's a lot of boxes.
11:27Sometimes when the boxes are falling over, it means they're full.
11:30And they're light?
11:30No, because they're heavy.
11:31Oh.
11:32It means the bottom, the weight on top buckled on a lighter one on the bottom.
11:36So it might have treasure hiding.
11:37Mm-hmm.
11:38We got a folding table for the flea market.
11:40Cheesecake pans.
11:41Real miscellany, which is maybe fun.
11:44Hashtag maximalism.
11:46Yeah, it's not just one thing, but a lot of mystery.
11:49I like it.
11:50Yeah, they got fitness balls and pumps.
11:52They got tortilla presses.
11:54Make some tortillas for the machaca con huevo.
11:56This locker's making me hungry.
11:58And they need to control this, though.
12:01Woo!
12:01We need this one.
12:02Oh, wow.
12:03All righty, here we go.
12:04A hundred.
12:05I got a hundred bucks already.
12:06That's me, too.

12:15I got two and a half, three, three, one of my three, one of my three, one of my three, one of my three.
12:17He hopped.
12:18He hopped.
12:18Now, four, four hundred.
12:19I get three to half of it, but four there, four to half of it, 450, 450, four to half of it, five to five now, 500, 500, 500, 550, 500, 550, 600 now.

12:51All right, well, we'll come back in a little bit.
12:53Hey, thanks, Steph.
12:54See you soon.
13:00All right, here we go.

13:07Oh, they got some nice plummetures.
13:09The lock is right here.
13:10The safe is right here.
13:11Look where it's at.
13:12I don't like this.
13:13Remind me of a mausoleum, like the old vampire days
13:17where people died and they, man, you know, like.
13:20They got a big cabinet.
13:22I like that little shelf-looking thing over there.
13:24Cool lamp.
13:25Yeah, yeah, that's all the same.
13:27I mean, I think we should put it on it.
13:29Okay.

13:38Got to set chairs and the mirror to it.
13:40The Lord liketh what he sees.
13:42Count me in.
13:43There's a lot of stuff in here.
13:44You know, this stuff.
13:45I don't like furniture, though.
13:46I don't like furniture, but the thing is, is like,
13:49this furniture was kind of more expensive 20 years ago.
13:51Yeah.
13:52The people sometimes had better stuff, but you know what?
13:54Yeah.
13:55Remember wearing your little car.
13:56Yeah, it's okay.
13:58Let's cool your jets.
14:00Let's just say we won't go over $250 for this one, okay?
14:03Yeah.
14:04I like that.
14:05All right, here we go.
14:06How much money?

14:37That's right, Jason. My friend's nailing him.
14:45That's all right. I know how to tax the Lancaster, too, bud.
14:48He's not about the locker. They're just trying to, like, show each other up.
14:52That's right. That's right, Jason. Get him.
14:54Nine, nine. Nine there. Nine fifty. Now one. One thousand dollars.
14:57I got a thousand bucks. A thousand fifty. A thousand fifty.

15:01That's the kind of call that. A thousand fifty bucks for that.
15:04No, that's right. Ivy. Got it for a thousand dollars. Ivy.
15:07Lord, Ivy!
15:09Dusty hath used his goon to outbid me.
15:11But like I always say, winner, winner, tricky leg.
15:15Well, what the Lord wanteth, the Lord taketh.
15:24Oh, big door! Woo! Packed and stacked.
15:31This is a lot of stuff. Do you see the clothes in the box I'm talking with?
15:35No.
15:37I can't. Oh, yeah. I see.
15:41How'd you see that?
15:42I'm taller than you.
15:44Oh, wait. How do you see that?
15:46And there's, like, perfumes. There's some jewelry.
15:49There's some good stuff in here.

15:54He's going to say some crap.

16:10There's an old little cosmetic suitcase.
16:12Yeah, I like this.
16:14You got machetes. You got ninja swords.
16:17You got all kind of stuff in here.
16:19A lot of work. You can't take all this to Vegas.

17:55See you in the office, everyone.
17:57Ready to work.

19:58Mother of Pearl.
19:59Yeah.
20:00I feel like this is kind of a special thing.
20:02Do you?
20:03It's cute.
20:04It's almost like gold leaf.
20:06I don't know.
20:07It's pretty ornate.
20:08I think we should find someone who can tell us if this is actually Mother of Pearl and...
20:13if this thing is valuable because I feel like it's pretty old.
20:16Yeah.
20:17I've never seen anything like it.
20:19Put that in the VIP pile.
20:22Ooh.
20:23Okay.
20:24What is this?
20:26That's pretty.
20:27Ooh, it's like a leather box.
20:30Instruments?
20:31You have to push the button.
20:32Some instruments?
20:33Ooh.
20:34Look at this.
20:35Is she upside down?
20:36Ooh.
20:37Ooh.
20:38Oh, my God.
20:39It's Victorian Carrie.
20:41I'm going to put this with the maybe Mother of Pearl.
20:45Okay.
20:46These sewing kits are small, but they might be worth some big bucks.
20:50We've got a DVD player.
20:51Okay.
20:52Fifteen bucks?
20:53Mm-hmm.
20:54Ten bucks.
20:55A little personal video DVD player for the car.
20:58Is this VCR?
20:59Or DVD?
21:00Oh, this actually is worth money.
21:02I think 50 bucks.
21:03Look, it's a VHS Rwinder.
21:04And it's got...
21:05Oh, we got 60 bucks.
21:06A little pair.
21:07Okay, great.
21:08Oh, those are kind of sweet.
21:09Mexican.
21:10Mm-hmm.
21:11Hand-painted.
21:12I think there's four of them in here.
21:14Oh, no.
21:15There's six, seven, eight.
21:16Seventy-five dollars.
21:17Sewing stuff.
21:20And other miscellaneous.
21:25I'm going to just say 100 bucks for this whole thing.
21:28Yeah.
21:29Bed frame, $100.
21:30Nightstand.
21:31We got the drawers out there.
21:32Fifteen bucks.
21:33Okay.
21:34That's all she wrote.
21:35We did all right.
21:36Hopefully, though, those vintage items we found will be worth a lot.
21:40Shall we...
21:41Right off into the sunset?
21:42Here we go.
21:43Thanks to Dusty, I paid $1,000 for this locker.
21:46Hopefully, I don't come out a fool.
21:48Whew.
21:49Where do we start?
21:50Right there.
21:51This I saw.
21:52Brand new box right there.
21:5330 bucks easy.
21:54Whoa.
21:55Gotta be smarter than the suitcase.
21:56There we go.
21:57Hey, dude.
21:58That's all she wrote.
21:59That's all she wrote.
22:00That's all she wrote.
22:01We did all right.
22:02Hopefully, though, those vintage items we found will be worth a lot.
22:03Nice.
22:04There we go.
22:05Hey, this one looks pretty good, though.
22:06Old droid.
22:07Got the little ring holder.
22:08Ooh, this is a nice-looking purse right here.
22:10Look how clean it is.
22:11Still got the tags.
22:12Ooh.
22:13That's a nice one right there.
22:14$100 on this bag.
22:20Man, that Lord of Lancaster strength is coming in handy today.
22:23All righty.
22:28Saved by the bail.
22:29A little beat up, but $20.
22:31This just might belong to the Prince of Palmdale.
22:33I'll have to give it back to him.
22:34Bam.
22:35This TV right here, $50 in great shape.
22:38Still got the little plastic coming off of it.
22:40That is cool.
22:42$5.
22:43Ooh.
22:44Ooh.
22:45I believe that's a silver hairbrush on the outside.
22:47I know it's going to have chalk in the inside, but that's a good $70 right there.
22:50Ooh.
22:51That's probably real silver right there.
22:52It does look like it.
22:53Another $40.
22:54This, well, it's already this tall.
22:57Together, that's going to be like an eight-foot china cabinet.
23:00Top and bottom, no cracks, no dings, no breaks.
23:02In excellent condition, $600 china cabinet.
23:06This is heavy.
23:07A little portable computer desk.
23:0920 bucks.
23:10Purse.
23:11Purse.
23:12Purse.
23:13Purse.
23:14Wallet.
23:15Purse.
23:16Purse.
23:17Wallet.
23:18Purse and wallets.
23:19Got about $200 of the purse and wallets in there.
23:21Alrighty.
23:22What's this?
23:23Holiday doll.
23:24Ooh.
23:25Ooh.
23:26Here we go.
23:27Do it the easy way.
23:31Reel.
23:32A little bit of reel.
23:34Reel.
23:35$150.
23:36The rest of that, no money.
23:38I think this goes with those two dressers.
23:40All together, $75.
23:42Ooh.
23:44Ooh.
23:50This is some weird looking stuff here.
23:53Looks like the Knights of the Round Table.
23:54Ooh, that's like a Merlin hood.
23:57Merlin was a creepy dude.
23:59Ooh.
24:00Oh, man.
24:01Woo!
24:02You wear this sucker, you ain't getting hurt.
24:04Frodo!
24:05Your brains is protected.
24:07It actually fit pretty good.
24:09I thought my head was too small, but this fit perfect.
24:11Priceless if you're getting a head with a sword.
24:13Gotta be careful.
24:14I might break all this stuff.
24:16Looks pretty delicate.
24:17That's so cool.
24:18Even got a thumb protector right there.
24:21Well, guys, I don't know much about this, but...
24:24You know what I'm saying.
24:26If I don't know what something's worth, find somebody who do.
24:29Ooh, that's sweet.
24:31That's gonna give me a good $75.
24:34All right.
24:35Come on out.
24:36Ooh!
24:37Woo!
24:38No wonder it's so heavy.
24:39Look at it squishing the tote.
24:40This looks like five Mustangs.
24:41Tall and butt.
24:42These things I've seen sell over the years from, you know, $2,000 down to about $500.
24:48But this one's a little bigger and heavier than what I've seen.
24:50Yeah, this is...
24:51Ugh!
24:52Pounds, probably iron, grass, who knows?
24:55$750.
24:56Easy.
24:57Here, we have four legs.
24:59The table, eight chairs.
25:00So this is a big table.
25:02Pretty good condition.
25:03Only a few scratches.
25:04Thick wood, real wood.
25:05Easy $500.
25:06There's a wash machine here, $150.
25:08A lamp, kind of ornate.
25:10$20.
25:11That looks like about it.
25:13As Julius Caesar once said,
25:15Vinnie, Vini, Vici.
25:17Look it up, people.
25:18Not a bad plunder for the Lord of Lancaster.
25:21Now I gotta go see what this medieval stuff is worth.
25:23Whew!
25:24Hey!
25:25Anybody got a time machine?
25:29Look at the left.
25:30Look at the place.
25:31Good.
25:32So cute.
25:33So cute.
25:34You must be Miss Shannon.
25:35I am.
25:36Why don't you ladies come have a seat?
25:38Carrie and I are meeting with the owner of Miss Shannon's Sewing, Miss Shannon,
25:43to see if she can pin down exactly what we found the other day.
25:48Let's start with this pretty thing.
25:49I love this.
25:50This is leather.
25:51I love the gold inlay and all the different things that are stamped on there.
25:56Oh, wow.
25:57So this is the early, early version of a sewing kit.
26:01Like, you know when you go to the grocery store and you see the little plastic sewing kits?
26:05Mm-hmm.
26:06This is all done by hand.
26:07It's probably Victorian during the Victorian era.
26:11Oh, those hands were so teensy.
26:13So tiny, right?
26:14So, yes.
26:15And it did belong to a lady because there's a difference in sewing.
26:20There's plain sewing, which is mending and darning, which was done by the maid.
26:25Okay.
26:26And then there's fancy sewing.
26:27Oh.
26:28Which was done by the lady.
26:29So typically a lady would come over with her sewing and they would be in a circle.
26:33Yeah.
26:34And it would be a thing of prestige.
26:36Like, hmm, look at my sewing kit.
26:39Like, I'm a very fancy lady.
26:41Wow.
26:42And then, like, gossiping.
26:43That was their Instagram was, like, the sewing circle.
26:46Oh, right.
26:47The sewing circle.
26:48And finding out everything going on in the village.
26:51So this could be something where you, you know, lay the scissors on or lay your needle on.
26:57This is a small spool for holding thread.
27:00If you're doing embroidery and you're going to put your project away, you want to put your extra thread here.
27:06Good.
27:07And then just hold it for the next time.
27:09This is a hand embroidered pin cushion.
27:11There's a flap.
27:13It lifts up.
27:14What goes in there?
27:16It's so cute.
27:17Pins.
27:18Pins.
27:19These are the scissors.
27:22There's roses here.
27:24It's just beautiful.
27:25So this is a seam ripper.
27:27If you make a mistake, you're able to get, you pick up the seam and then rip.
27:34This is so sharp.
27:35Could you imagine?
27:36You're just, like, doing a little seam ripping and then cut a bit.
27:40Don't mess with Miss Shannon.
27:43Yikes.
27:44Remind me not to piss off the sweet, soft-spoken sewing lady.
27:48This is a thread cutter.
27:51You put the thread in between here and then it cuts it.
27:55Wow.
27:56And this is gold.
27:57Wow.
27:58Look at all the little details.
27:59And then, do you see how there's a mirror?
28:01I love that.
28:02Isn't that beautiful?
28:03Yeah.
28:04Don't worry.
28:05Find the mirror.
28:06Amazing.
28:07Okay.
28:08There's more.
28:09Take a look at that.
28:10I love this.
28:11Wow.
28:12Mm-hmm.
28:13So what I thought this was was a jewelry holder.
28:16But it isn't.
28:17It's another sewing kit.
28:19Even tinier sewing kit.
28:20For even tinier ladies.
28:22Look at this thimble.
28:24Oh.
28:25Isn't that great?
28:26This holds needles.
28:27Yeah.
28:28Really great.
28:29And it's gold.
28:30These scissors are amazing.
28:32Oh my God.
28:33They're so little.
28:34Look how cute they are.
28:35Is it also Victorian, do you think?
28:36Yes.
28:37This is also Victorian.
28:38The clasp still works.
28:40Oh yeah.
28:41That looks good.
28:42Isn't that nice?
28:43This is mother of pearl.
28:44Mm.
28:45Okay.
28:46So now you've seen everything.
28:48How much can we stitch together?
28:50Well, there's damage here.
28:53Mm-hmm.
28:54The ribbon inlay is damaged.
28:56There's a little bit of mold right here, which could be repaired.
29:01This is beautiful.
29:02Just lovely.
29:03And this, I'm really surprised by this, that it's actually a sewing kit.
29:09I really thought that this was something that you put your jewelry in while you're sewing
29:13and while you're crafting.
29:14There's a little bit of damage, but that's okay.
29:16Everything about this is just so precious and beautiful.
29:20So total, I'd say $1,200.
29:26Oh, nice.
29:27Yes.
29:28Awesome.
29:29Yeah.
29:30Sweet.
29:31Double buying power equals double profits.
29:34Seamlessly done.
29:35Okay.
29:36Seamlessly done.
29:37I'll just use my giant lady hands and see my way out.
29:39Well, let's see what I got.
29:40Are you ready?
29:41Because I'm excited.
29:42This locker is so big.
29:43We had to go back and get my truck.
29:44But at least Lupe's car won't get dirty.
29:45Ah!
29:46So is it everything you hoped and dreamed for?
29:47Somehow it's not looking answered.
29:48I remember.
29:49Let's load the best stuff in the truck first.
29:50Okay.
29:51What we're doing is keep in mind, there's a lot of stuff.
29:52So if it looks like mail, then move it along.
30:07No value.
30:08Be careful.
30:09Why?
30:10You made a bench.
30:11But why?
30:12I don't know.
30:13Be careful.
30:16Why?
30:17You made a mess.
30:19But why?
30:20I don't know.
30:21This is not a good start.
30:23We have to wait for another empty box.
30:25Oh, yeah.
30:26All right.
30:27Perfumes, sprays, I say $10.
30:32That?
30:32That was a Versace.
30:35It's in there.
30:35Oh, it's right there.
30:36Look at this.
30:37This is Gucci.
30:38Probably have $100 right there.
30:41This looks like new household.
30:44Woo-hoo.
30:45People like this.
30:46Yeah, look at that.
30:47What's your inboxes?
30:48I don't know.
30:49They fall apart.
30:50There's brand new silverware.
30:52Yeah.
30:52And then we have a lot of other brand new stuff.
30:54I mean, there's at least $50 in here.
30:59Let's go for black and yellow toast.
31:01The black and yellow toast is where we put the good stuff.
31:05Ooh, shoes.
31:06Some of these don't even look.
31:07They look new.
31:07I mean, in used shoes, you've got at least like $50.
31:10It's like one of those we've only just begun type of deals.
31:13These people spared.
31:14Oh, wow.
31:14Oh, wow.
31:15That is a lot of shoes.
31:16$40?
31:17Yeah.
31:18More shoes.
31:18Are these cleats?
31:19Yeah.
31:20You can at least get $40.
31:23Here's all your jewels.
31:26Okay.
31:26Here's a ring box.
31:28Is it in there?
31:29Damn, girl.
31:30You got you some gold.
31:32Really?
31:32Look at it.
31:33It's perfect for you, too.
31:34It says, Mom.
31:35Really?
31:36Yeah.
31:36Aw.
31:37Maybe $200 in gold?
31:39Yes.
31:39I can smell the gold.
31:40I saw the little box.
31:42I have to look at every single piece.
31:45No, you don't have to.
31:46You can go really quick.
31:47Yeah.
31:48There's nothing else right there.
31:49Could be what you missed here.
31:51Really?
31:52You can smell it?
31:57What is this?
31:57No way.
31:59That's too big.
32:00You'd be too lucky if that was gold.
32:02Sweetheart.
32:03I'm getting excited.
32:04I think you hit.
32:05Italy.
32:06This is 14.
32:07Wait, does it say Italy?
32:08That's 14 karat.
32:09Really?
32:09That is a...
32:10Yay!
32:11That is a...
32:12This is like 2,000 gold.
32:15Just this paid for my whole room.
32:17Just that little piece.
32:18Okay, let's go.
32:19Sniffing out the gold's my specialty.
32:21I mean, the nose knows.
32:23I'm just going to move this right here.
32:24Bye.
32:26A lot of cups for a lot of alcohol.
32:28At least 50 bucks.
32:29Here comes the clothes.
32:31I mean, this is at least $50.
32:34More clothes.
32:36This is what we call baby tees.
32:39And there's a lot of them.
32:40Like $300.
32:42Purses.
32:43I see some polo, Ralph Lauren.
32:44Maybe $100.
32:46Here, close.
32:47I see velour.
32:49Could be juicy couture.
32:50$50.
32:52I'm just going to say $100 more of clothes here.
32:55There's like 40 more boxes here.
32:56We probably have over $1,000 worth of more great flea market stuff.
33:01Sounded good.
33:02Hmm.
33:03I'm going to start loading up now.
33:05All right.
33:06Now I've got to figure out how to get down from here.
33:07I've been the tool expert, so I thought maybe he could tell me what this telescopic tooly thing is.
33:23Hey, I've got this thing.
33:27I don't know what it is.
33:28Maybe you can tell me what it is.
33:30Let's call a car.
33:31No.
33:32Is it a trunk, dog?
33:33No.
33:33What you want to say?
33:34Call a car, bro.
33:36Cool little old school box.
33:39Yeah, yeah.
33:40Ooh.
33:41I know what that is.
33:42What is it?
33:42That's one of the things they measure the land with is level and all that stuff.
33:45They tell if it's flat or healy or how long and all that.
33:49You know what?
33:50Perfect timing.
33:52Hey.
33:53How you doing, bro?
33:55Doing good.
33:56How are you?
33:56What's your name?
33:58Zamp.
33:58Zamp?
33:59Zamp.
33:59That's my boy, Ivy.
34:01Ivy said you probably could tell me what this is.
34:03Yeah, I think so.
34:04It looks pretty familiar to me.
34:05I think that might be some sort of survey instrument.
34:07Come on, Ivy.
34:08No, no.
34:08I got stuff to do.
34:09Oh.
34:11All right.
34:12So what are you doing out here?
34:14I'm actually making some content for some land surveying classes that I teach.
34:18I'm a land surveying professor at College of the Canyons.
34:21Oh.
34:21Yeah, so I got all my survey stuff set up.
34:24Yeah.
34:24Let's see what we got here.
34:25You definitely got a surveying instrument here.
34:27This is an old transit.
34:29Let me see if I can get this out.
34:31There we go.
34:32So land surveyors, engineers, any type of construction work, layout.
34:36You would use one of these so you could get accurate points to draw a map.
34:40And that's how we put coordinates on points and we make maps.
34:42So property lines, topographic maps.
34:45Some of these, like this era, would have been used in, like, mine surveys.
34:49I've pretty much got, like, the great-grandson of this thing over here.
34:53You're telling me this is this and that is this?
34:55Pretty much.
34:56What you're looking at right here, this is, like, your main eyepiece scope part.
35:01That's right through here, right?
35:02So that's just looking through this.
35:04You've got a compass down here for angles.
35:07You've got another one on the side here on this wheel for verticals.
35:11Mine's all digital, but it's all there.
35:13So you don't even have to write anything down anymore.
35:15That's cheating, man.
35:16It is a little bit, yeah.
35:17So they got some information in this right here.
35:21So this one right here has got the name on it.
35:23It's a Keffel and Esser Co. from New York.
35:24You know, I think that company might actually still be around, or at least they made stuff for quite a while.
35:29How does this work, man?
35:31Well, if you want, I can just kind of show you quickly how it would be on top of a tripod and be working.
35:36So let's see if we put this up here.
35:39And we're just going to pretend, keep a hand on it.
35:42Yeah.
35:42It's got a couple of things.
35:44To help you center it, it actually has the ability to slide on this plate right here.
35:48It does, too.
35:49And then this is your leveling procedure.
35:51You've got these two bubbles, which are used for getting the whole instrument level.
35:56Then you've got a bubble on the site right here.
35:59This is for getting it perfectly leveled.
36:02We've got, looks like, focus knob.
36:04You've got another little, like, eye relief focus right here.
36:06You can see it coming in and out.
36:08So you cite some reference line from end point to end point.
36:11And then I can turn it off and then go a distance and put a whole bunch of radio lines coming out.
36:18And then I can actually turn it on a line and make a map.
36:20I'll just start making the map.
36:22And then go a distance and put coordinates on another point.
36:24I know he said these things help mix maps, but I'm lost, America.
36:31So, um, can you put a price on this old binocle set?
36:37So these are really worth something to the surveyor and the engineers are going to be the ones that that's your marketing.
36:42Engineers got a lot of money.
36:43Yeah, they do.
36:44So this transit and this condition, the box, I mean, you've got the stuff.
36:50I mean, it still feels like it's in perfect working order.
36:53I mean, usually these things are all bound up and stuck up.
36:55If somebody took care of this one, it looks pretty nice.
37:00Surveyor says?
37:03Probably about $800.
37:05I'll see you, bro.
37:07Surveyor says?
37:10I'm a winner.
37:11Thank you so much.
37:12Appreciate you, my man.
37:13No worries.
37:14Anytime.
37:14Have a good one.
37:15You too, brother.
37:21Today I'm at the Cauldron, Spirits, and Brews to see what this medieval stuff is worth.
37:26I'm meeting with Brian Barron.
37:29Meeting with Brian.
37:31Meeting with Brian.
37:32I'm meeting with Brian.
37:35Brian Barron.
37:39Brian.
37:41Oh, Lord Ivey Calvin.
37:44Yeah, he's more than welcome.
37:55Oh, these are nice.
37:57Oh, thank you.
37:58I definitely see some medieval accoutrements here.
38:01So, how'd you come to know about all this stuff?
38:03Well, I'm part of Westmarch, which is a non-profit organization.
38:06It focuses on creating an inclusive community designed to get people outside, learning about
38:12the arts and the sciences, and participating in a game we call Ampt Guard.
38:18While we create weapons, we have a game that allows us to use them in a safe environment.
38:22Talk medieval to me.
38:23What I'm seeing in front of me here is a very common nasal helm to protect that brain.
38:30You're going to need a helmet.
38:31What we have here is what I would call a Norman helm.
38:35Norman.
38:35And this helm here would be designed to give to a foot soldier.
38:38Somebody who's going to have to move great distances would want to wear this helmet as
38:44opposed to a much heavier helmet, because they've got a lot of places to be, but they
38:48still want to keep their head protected.
38:49So, would that take a hit in the head with a sword?
38:51Uh, once.
38:52Ooh, only once.
38:53Yeah.
38:54Metal was designed to stop swords, so that's where you saw the implementation of axes and
39:00maces and other blunt instruments.
39:03You can make a dent in this a lot easier than you can make a cut into this.
39:08This is handcrafted, and I can tell that because the rivets inside are punched.
39:12Those are hand-done.
39:13Somebody took time to actually put this together.
39:16When I picked this up, I expected this to be a mass production helmet until I saw the
39:21inside with the punch rivets.
39:22That actually increases the value a little bit.
39:25I really like this item more than I thought I did when you put it on the table.
39:29Okay.
39:31Now, for the gauntlets over here, this is actually a combination.
39:35We have gauntlets and greaves together.
39:39As you can see, I'm wearing greaves.
39:40I do not have the gauntlets on, so I can actually grab things in an easier capacity.
39:45I see we have a fine workman's glove on the inside with articulated fingers, and we see
39:51the articulated greaves as well.
39:54So when you go up the arm, it still allows you flexibility, which is very nice.
39:58Now, I've heard running a gauntlet.
40:00Is that the same thing?
40:01Well, no.
40:02The gauntlet, as you know, of course, is running through a challenging course.
40:05In this situation, a more apt phrase might be throwing down the gauntlet, which would
40:10be issuing a challenge by dropping a gauntlet on the table.
40:13Ah.
40:13So if I threw that in front of somebody, I'd be like, it's time to fight?
40:16Yes, it would be considered an aggressive move.
40:18Ooh.
40:19I think I'd fit in on those times.
40:20I think you might do well.
40:21You definitely are formidable as you stand.
40:23All righty.
40:24And we have a cloak.
40:25Now, Sir Spade, I may need your assistance with this as I am seated.
40:30I'd like to see the length.
40:31Oh, that is nice.
40:32Being of wool, it would keep somebody very warm.
40:36We have a wonderful brass accoutrement up there, wonderful gold edging, and the cloak
40:41will keep you warm on any of the coldest nights.
40:44Sir Spade, will you please add the hood and then give us a little spin?
40:48Let's see how this works.
40:51That is outstanding.
40:53The Lord of Lancaster would like to know, how much do I have in my wares?
40:56What you have here is three items of true, genuine quality.
41:01There's going to be somebody who's looking to add this to their collection, maybe to finish
41:05off their accoutrements.
41:07None of this is knockoff.
41:08None of this is in bad condition.
41:10It's wonderful stuff.
41:16$650.
41:17The Lord is happy.
41:19A small triumph, but a good day's work for the Lord of Lancaster.
41:23Well met, my friend.
41:24I hope to see you on the field of battle in the future.
41:26You will.
41:27Come on, Spade.
41:28Let's go get us a drink.
41:29Whoa, whoa, whoa.
41:29I'm following you, Spade.
41:31All hail Ivy Calvin, whose reign brought forth 2,500 barcaroos.
41:39Dusty and Lupe paid some heavy taxes, but still managed to take home 2,300 in profit.
41:47Lisa Delario stitched together a tidy 1,400 bobbins, while Kenny Crosley,
41:53Surveyor says, mapped out a nice chunk of change.
41:58I would like to present something to you from Westmarch.
42:04Please stand.
42:07For goods recognized as fine wares, and for stout perseverance in achieving honor and success,
42:15Ampgard Kingdom of Westmarch dubs you Lord Ivy Calvin.
42:20Oh, awesome.
42:21Thank you, thank you.
42:22It's going up on my wall.
42:24Glad to be.
42:24Maybe even the fridge.
42:25Maybe even the fridge.
42:25Maybe even the fridge.
