00:01It's a beautiful day in Riverside today, babe.
00:04Yeah.
00:05Some of the best stuff has come out of here.
00:07Do you remember when Ivy found that 3D printer?
00:10Oh!
00:11Okay.
00:12No.
00:13Oh, you've got to remember when Brandy found, like, that billboard.
00:16Oh, that's cool.
00:17No, I don't remember that.
00:18Okay.
00:19How about the one that was out of this world?
00:21You've got to remember this one, when Renee found the meteorite.
00:24Okay.
00:25No.
00:26I don't remember that either.
00:28Well, good things come out of Riverside.
00:31I came out of Riverside.
00:32Faster.
00:33All right.
00:36When storage units are abandoned, the treasures within are put up for auction.
00:45I got scored on this.
00:47I'm in the green.
00:48Look at this.
00:49Money, baby.
00:50Money.
00:51M-O-N-E-V-I.
00:53Are you ready?
00:54Yeah!
00:55Wow!
00:56Mine units is what I do for a living.
00:59But darts is my side hustle.
01:01Three different ways.
01:02I sell dart material, I rent out dart machines, and I sell dart apparel.
01:07And my side hustle is a little expensive, traveling all over California, driving hundreds and hundreds of miles.
01:13My monthly expenses ain't cheap.
01:15So today, I really need to take aim on a winning locker.
01:18I don't care about my competition at all.
01:20They're probably throwing spit wads when I'm throwing bullseyes.
01:23I want to make it easy, peasy, bullseye squeezy.
01:26I've been playing so much poker lately, I've been winning money left and right.
01:33So instead of me just sitting on my fat ass and playing poker all day, I think I need to go out and about to get some exercise.
01:39The stakes at an auction are heavier than in poker.
01:42Same bluffing, but way more lifting.
01:44I need to go to an auction, and I gotta see if I can use my wreaths on the opponents.
01:49And I'm gonna try to see if I can find some aces in a locker.
01:51To be the best, you have to be very observant, see your opponent's weaknesses, and know when it's time to call, bluff, or fold.
02:02Headed out to Riverside today.
02:03Got some potential new clients.
02:05They have this massive house on a mountain, and it is nearby, which is totally ideal.
02:10Got a sunken bar, huge backyard, huge living space.
02:15I think it just needs a little updating.
02:17I love when my clients trust me enough to liven up their spaces.
02:20It gives me carte blanche to get real creative.
02:23Let's hope we find some good stuff today.
02:30Perfect. No parking, just playing.
02:32I keep my dark stuff in my truck, so I figured why not bust it out and get some practice throws in.
02:37What are you doing?
02:41You showed up here?
02:42Yeah.
02:43You know I was gonna be here.
02:44No.
02:45Why would that make a difference?
02:46Because I'm here.
02:47You know you don't go where I go.
02:49What you think you're doing?
02:50You think by now, these little buyers would know.
02:52They need my permission to come to auctions.
02:57Oh, that's pretty close to the red eye.
02:58It's pretty close.
02:59That's pretty good, right?
03:00What do you call it, red eye?
03:01Bullseye, whatever.
03:02Red eye.
03:04You're not too bad.
03:05I'm good at everything I do.
03:06What's that saying?
03:07Luck smiles on a dog's butt every day?
03:09Well, at least you might come close to winning the sun today.
03:16Ah!
03:17Take that, son!
03:19Oh, Lord.
03:20Poker, storage buying, card breaking, and now you can add darts to the long list of things I'm good at.
03:27Oh, yeah.
03:28We'll do it from here.
03:29You get to go first since you're professional.
03:32Ha-ha!
03:33Wow!
03:34All right, arc.
03:37Damn.
03:39All right, I believe that's no points.
03:42That's a long ways.
03:43Don't even judge me on that.
03:44We ain't even playing a real game.
03:47I know I'm good.
03:48How are you?
03:49Good.
03:50What are you doing?
03:51Playing long-distance darts.
03:52Oh, gosh.
03:53You gotta jab him.
03:54It's okay.
03:56Is he dangerous?
03:57He's dangerous.
03:58All right.
03:59Here you go.
04:00I'll take your jab.
04:01You take the ivy.
04:02Oh, I'll take it!
04:04Free units for everyone.
04:05That's not true.
04:06We're bad.
04:07Um, tariffs on Rene's, 140%.
04:12After we get done, pay the ivy.
04:15Free units for everyone but you, sucker.
04:19Hi!
04:20Hi.
04:21Have you thrown these darts yet?
04:22No.
04:23He says if you get a bullseye, he's gonna buy you a unit.
04:26Uh, no.
04:28Show him that you can do it.
04:30This ain't driving.
04:31This darts.
04:32Right here?
04:33Hi.
04:34Here, try this one.
04:37That was a practice throw.
04:38Oh, no.
04:39Oh, .
04:42Ah!
04:43See if you can make that one stick.
04:44You gotta throw it really hard.
04:46That one, it stick right there.
04:48Stuck!
04:51Welcome to the auction!
04:52Before you go through these gates, you need to know the rules.
04:54You're gonna go to the unit, remove the lock, open the door, give you five minutes to take a look around.
04:58You can't go inside the unit, you can't open any boxes, and who's never got the most money in their pocket can own it today.
05:03Are you ready?
05:04Let's go!
05:05Hooray!
05:06Let's go, let's go, let's go!
05:07Let's go!
05:08Gotta let you win something today, since you ain't getting nothing else.
05:12Hey, every day I wake up, I ready one.
05:15Ah, we won every day you wake up.
05:17I like being in your presence.
05:18Oh, thank you.
05:19You alright?
05:20I'm good.
05:21You?
05:22I'm good.
05:23I'm just being nice to keep them off target.
05:26What a good-looking crowd.
05:28And I'm talking to you, Brandy.
05:30Woohoo!
05:31Jump!
05:32So much you got.
05:33So much to work away, Brandy.
05:39Oh!
05:40Be getting here, folks!
05:42Come on now!
05:43Ooh, that's expensive furniture right there.
05:48People often put cool little thing in those drawers.
05:50Got a nice little mattress up there.
05:52They got the headboard.
05:53Those are expensive beds and you gotta buy them.
05:55Little bit of pictures and a lot of dust.
05:57This is too much furniture for me.
05:59I mean, there's stuff in here.
06:03It's like that whole back wall, those mattresses.
06:06But there's like a nice desk, nice piece of furniture.
06:08I don't know.
06:09It doesn't get me excited.
06:10This unit is exciting for like about 30 seconds.
06:13Casey and Tatiana probably would like these decorations.
06:16It's not that good.
06:17I'm gonna fold.
06:20Hmm.
06:21There's a little bit of furniture, but I'm not looking for anything outdated
06:23and it's exactly the furniture that they're trying to get rid of.
06:26TVs, they're not worth that much money anymore.
06:28You can buy them cheap at the store.
06:30Brand new.
06:31I don't know that this one's for me, but we'll see.
06:34All right.
06:35And if you're ready to go, I'm ready to go.
06:36And here we go.
06:37And how much money?
06:38How big is this unit, babe?
06:39This is a nice one, folks.
06:4012 by 24.
06:41All right.
06:4212 by 24 unit.
06:43Here we go.
06:44And how much money?
06:45What's your pleasure?
06:46What are you gonna pay?
06:47How much?
06:48How much money?
06:49What are you thinking?
06:5050.
06:5150.
06:5250.
06:5350.
06:54Wait.
06:55Did I say I was gonna fold?
06:56Ladies and gentlemen, that is what they call a perfect look.
06:59Okay.
07:00One of the 50 going once.
07:01One of the 50 going twice.
07:02That's the final color.
07:03One of the 50.
07:04One of the 50.
07:05I'll end up through.
07:06I'll end up through.
07:07I'll end up through.
07:08I'll end up through.
07:09I'll end up.
07:10This way.
07:11After a play like that, I need to count my winnings.
07:13It's not pretty, but then at 25 bucks, it's guaranteed money.
07:19Nobody decorates Christmas like Casey and Tatiana.
07:24Renee, Casey, checking out Renee, and little Tatiana.
07:31If I were to sell these, somebody would buy them for the house pretty fast.
07:34Probably for like 200 bucks.
07:36But since I bought them for Casey and Tatiana, we're not selling that.
07:39So it just saved me $200.
07:41A dollar saved is a dollar earned.
07:44More decorations.
07:46These are like the flags, the blow up things.
07:4810 bucks.
07:50Super solid.
07:51Of course, it's gonna need to be refinished real quick.
07:53So it looks like we have all the drawers.
07:55I bet you no problem to sell this for 300 bucks.
07:59So it's Bombay right here.
08:01Bombay's a nice store in a mall.
08:03Marble top.
08:04That's pretty.
08:07And then...
08:11That's not a jewelry box.
08:12It's some kind of end table.
08:14Once that's all tightened up, that's an easy hundred.
08:16Night stand over here needs to be refinished.
08:19Solid wood.
08:2175 bucks.
08:22Ooh, car.
08:25Damn.
08:26I almost had a free car.
08:34Damn, boxes.
08:36High-end designer boxes.
08:43Whoa!
08:45I see units in a whole new light.
08:49That feels expensive.
08:51VFP.
08:52VFP.
08:53Let's see.
08:54Damn, I wish Casey was here.
08:56That feel...
08:57I mean, they feel nice.
08:58When you buy and sell a lot of stuff and you get a lot of the counterfeit stuff and the cheaper
09:01stuff and then you have the real stuff, you can feel the difference.
09:04So I'm just gonna put it in here to protect it.
09:06But I bet you that's a $200 pair of sunglasses.
09:08And this says Versaggi, Tom Ford, Prada, all stores that try to avoid it tomorrow.
09:13Now, the funny thing is once they retail, you get much more money if you have the boxes.
09:18And there's another five boxes.
09:20Even at $20 a box, it's $100.
09:2212 times my investment and I'm just starting.
09:26This unit is not that pretty, but it's like guaranteed money.
09:30Like, you buy 10 units a week like this, you make an easily $5,000 a week without getting lucky.
09:35If all you're relying on is luck, then the house is gonna win every time.
09:40Thick, fat desk.
09:46We good. We good.
09:49Desk is a little bit harder to move, but that's a nice solid wood desk.
09:52So somebody will pay an easy $200 for that.
09:55Oh, I see a machine there too.
09:57What is this?
09:58Pickleball Tutor.
10:05Oh, I already know what this is.
10:09Because America's fastest growing sport, pickleball baby.
10:15This is great.
10:16The reason it's so popular is because people like me can actually do it.
10:19Yes, I said people like me.
10:21Former athletes.
10:23This is your pickleball tutor.
10:27I think it's a machine that you put on the opposite side of you and it spits these pickleballs at you.
10:33I don't know.
10:34I'm probably gonna take this to somebody.
10:37I have some friends that play pickleball.
10:38I don't know.
10:39This could be 50 bucks.
10:40This could be 500.
10:41I don't know.
10:42But you know what?
10:43No matter what it is, I know it's gonna be all profit.
10:46Mattress is back here.
10:48I hate moving mattresses.
10:50Oh yeah, these are nasty.
10:52It's like seven different kinds of mattresses.
10:54Yeah, we good with that.
10:55That has no value.
10:57And then last but least, let's see what these are.
11:04Oh, these are the bottoms for bets.
11:06So it's like a, it's a bet that you put these two things together.
11:09You just throw a mattress on top and you have drawers beneath.
11:12Actually, these are really good.
11:13These sell really well for kits because you save a lot of space.
11:16I'll get a hundred bucks for these easily.
11:18Okay, enough digging.
11:19I got to get back to the auction and ride this heater.
11:22That's poker for hot streak.
11:28All right, you feeling it?
11:29Oh, easy door to open, folks.
11:31Oh, my 10 by 10.
11:36Nice little dog crate.
11:37Old bed there that's not complete.
11:38Boxes.
11:39Old crate back there.
11:40I love fishing gear.
11:41Those are all clothes.
11:42I don't know.
11:43I'll make him stab at it.
11:45Hmm.
11:46Maybe a throw or two.
11:47There's a lot of stuff in here, but it's like having pocket nines.
11:50You know, you feel like you've got a pair that's bigger than half of the deck, but at the end of the day, you wish you wouldn't have played it because it's a lot of work.
11:56A lot of risk.
11:57Fishing poles.
11:58I like fishing.
11:59Toys.
12:00Christmas stuff.
12:01There's some sellable items in here, but it's not exactly what I'm looking for.
12:05This unit might be worth it for the small decor items that I always need.
12:09We'll see what happens.
12:10You got some heavy duty buyers here.
12:12I'm heavy duty.
12:13I know.
12:14I'm heavy too, but I'm trying to diet.
12:16I might be the heaviest duty.
12:17Why does he always tell us about other buyers being heavy duty?
12:19Who the hell are you talking to?
12:21We all got no pool here.
12:23I know.
12:24Hey, Dan.
12:27You know, when you tell me there's some big heavy buyers here, that's like going up to
12:32Michael Jordan and be like, hey, there's some good ball players here.
12:34What?
12:35I'm the Michael Jordan of storage buying.
12:37Renee can be Scottie Pippen.
12:38All right.
12:39And if you're ready to go, I'm ready to go.
12:40Here we go.
12:41How much money?
12:42What are you going to pay?
12:43Look at the fishing poles.
12:44Here we go.
12:45How much money?
12:46What are you going to pay?
12:47How much?
12:48How much?
12:49How much?
12:50How much?
12:51How much?
12:52How much?

12:55105, 115.
12:56115, 125.
12:57125, 135, 145.
12:59145, 155.
13:00165, 175.
13:01You're on your own.
13:02175.
13:03How about that?
13:0485, 185, 185.
13:05185, 195.
13:06What about 205?
13:07205.

13:17215.
13:18215.
13:19215.
13:20215.
13:21215.
13:22260.
13:23Lock it up.
13:24Where are we going to go ahead?
13:25You got it, Brandy.
13:26I got some shabby chic for dirt cheap.
13:27This way.
13:28Let's go.
13:29All right, this way, this way, folks.
13:31I got this, this book I've been writing.
13:33It's how to be the greatest storage buyer that ever lived.
13:36Must be a short story, huh?
13:38If you're not busy later, I will read it to you.
13:40No, it's okay.
13:41Sure.
13:42I'm not that into affection.
13:45Feeling that extra 5D, go!
13:47Nice, clean unit.
13:54Well, we got a Nike bag here and a set of Nikes back there, 9 1⁄2 size.
13:58So that's a good size. That sells pretty good.
14:00Got a flat-screen little monitor right here.
14:03I don't know, I mean, it has mystery.
14:05It's kind of like a pair of jacks, you know?
14:07You like it when you look at it, but then at the end,
14:09you're just kind of hoping for them to hold up.
14:11It's a sofa, but not what I'm looking for.
14:14I don't need any beds.
14:16If I wasn't looking for something so specific,
14:18this might be something.
14:21Ooh. Ooh.
14:23Not too bad, first look.
14:25Everything's clean, not too dusty.
14:27Beautiful-looking lamp.
14:29Money to be made in this unit.
14:30I'll take a tiny stab at it.
14:32Move over, Sisaline, make room for some meteor.
14:36I don't know what you just said.
14:38Too young for that commercial?
14:39It's bacon.
14:40I don't think bacon even requires a commercial.
14:43I think people will buy it regardless if they see it on TV.
14:45They'll buy more, though.
14:47All right.
14:48Here we go.
14:49How much money?
14:50What are you going to pay?
14:51How much?
14:52How much?
14:53How much?
14:54How much?
14:55How much?
14:56How much?
14:57How much?
14:58how much?
14:59How many?
15:00How much?
15:01I'm gonna get out.
15:06Yeah!
15:11Yeah!
15:20That can go f**k a duck.
15:24F**ker, f**k you!
15:27Yeah, no comment.
15:30Want to hear the most annoying sound in the world?
15:33Yeah!
15:34That was something I was hoping I'd never hear again.
15:37Ah, did all my old buddies, Mr Pal Dave.
15:40Yup!
15:42Oh, we got an action!
15:43151, 75 non-two.
15:44250, 10, 1 1 2, 2 1 2, 2 1 1 2, 1 1 2, 2 1 1 2, 1 1 2, 1 1, 2, 1 1 2, 1 1, 2, 1 1 2, 1 1, 1 2, 1 2, 1 2, 1 2, 1, 2, 1 1.
15:51So 50, 50 a some of them from a number 3.
15:533, 3, 3, 3 1.25, 3 1.
15:54Extended on a number 3.
15:59Yeah Plus 50 I got 4 1.
16:024 1.
16:02Cloud 15 4 1.
16:03Yeah.
16:29You guys got tough, man.
16:311,000!
16:32I miss you all, too.
16:34Nothing makes you feel more loved than a welcome like that.
16:37Renee, you can have the next one.
16:39And then Brandon can have the next one after that.
16:41I already got one, homie.
16:42I just enjoy it.
16:43I just didn't want you to get it for cheap.
16:46You're soft as .
16:48What's going on?
16:50The only chance you have of buying units
16:52if the units are trash.
16:53That's it. Me?
16:54Yeah, that's it.
16:55Yeah.
16:56If there's any good units, you have no chance at all.
16:58Oh, my God.
16:59I've been listening to you guys like you for 45 years.
17:06Oh!
17:07Oh, yeah!
17:08Oh!
17:09Oh, my gosh!
17:10Look at this one!
17:11Oh!
17:12Ooh!
17:17I mean, this is just an e-waste unit.
17:19A little bit of tools.
17:21Huh.
17:22I don't know.
17:23See what it goes for.
17:24Goodness.
17:25These boxes all look empty, full of garbage.
17:27There's a pallet jack, but I don't have any use for that.
17:32I feel like I'm going to let somebody else get this one.
17:35Could have been doing a little bit of retail.
17:37See it look like stereo speakers.
17:39Washer and dryer, that's $200 right there.
17:41Okay, got some pallets, got a pallet jack.
17:43That might be a chicken dinner, but then again, it might be a miss.
17:48I see one good thing in here.
17:52A good day's work.
17:54Hey, here we go.
17:55How much money?
17:56What's your pleasure?
17:57They give me $25.
17:58$25.
17:59$25.
18:00$25.
18:01$25.

18:34$ sait.
18:36$150.
18:37$175.
18:38$50.
18:39$175.
18:40ical?
18:41If Polka has taught me anything, sometimes you've got to race just to watch them sweat.
18:44$200 going once.
18:45One one.
18:46I got 175.
18:47One of a 200.
18:47One of a 200.
18:48One of a 200.
18:49Going twice.
18:50That's a final call.
18:51Two of a 200.
18:52Right there.
18:52Right there.
18:53Two of a quarter now.
18:54I'll get you there.
18:54Two of a quarter.
18:55Oh, wow.
18:55I'm out again.
18:56Two of a 25.
18:57Where?
18:57Two of a 200.
18:57Who was that?
18:58Hold on.
18:59I've got 200.
19:00Two of a quarter.
19:01Two of a quarter.
19:01Two of a quarter.
19:01Going twice.
19:02One of a 200.
19:02Two of a 25.
19:03No.
19:04I got 200 bucks.
19:04Two of a quarter.
19:05Two of a 25.
19:05I'll be in on through.
19:06Well, they're down.
19:06One of a 22.
19:0725, you're in.
19:08I'm out.
19:09Another two of a 200.
19:10I'm out, Ivy.
19:11Yep.
19:13Nope.
19:14Oh, damn.
19:15We got suckered.
19:16Ivy just paid $200 for worthless junk.
19:19Goodbye.
19:20Goodbye, Ivy.
19:21I really missed this, you know?
19:24Folks, that's the end of the auction.
19:25And don't forget to pay the lady.
19:27God bless you, folks.
19:37Well, let's get to it.
19:38200 is a little steep for this room.
19:41So if I don't make any money, there's only one person to blame.
19:44Yeah!
19:46Wow.
19:46It's not as big as I thought it was, but it's definitely big.
19:51Empty.
19:54VCRs.
19:55Oh, I know what they were doing.
19:57E-waste.
19:58No money.
20:00No money.
20:02No money.
20:03Oh, wait a minute.
20:04We got a little bit of money.
20:06Ugh.
20:07Oh, man, that's a heavy one, too.
20:09Folding table.
20:10$25.
20:12You got anything over here worth any good?
20:14Oh.
20:14Ooh.
20:15Wow, it's heavy.
20:17Saran wrap.
20:18And that's exactly what it is.
20:19Woo!
20:20I could use this.
20:21Literally, I checked my shipping yesterday for my taxes, and I spent $18,900 just in shipping
20:27last year.
20:28Each one of these, to me, are worth about $20.
20:30All righty.
20:31Eight of these.
20:32$160.
20:33Let's see if this works.
20:34I need one of these.
20:35Put your foot down there, and pump.
20:40Well.
20:42As far as I can see, she's not working.
20:44Damn, that sucked.
20:45That's one of the main reasons I wanted this.
20:46If this is working, $200 easy, but it's not working.
20:49Well, oh, fire screen.
20:51Super condition.
20:52Five bucks.
20:54No money.
20:55No money.
20:56No money.
20:57No money.
20:58No money.
20:59Ooh.
21:00Not bad there.
21:01Five bucks.
21:02Ugh.
21:05Ooh.
21:06Priceless.
21:07If you're on the beach, and the girls see your muscles.
21:0930 bucks right here.
21:10Easy money.
21:12Ooh.
21:13Table.
21:13Another $25 table.
21:15And down here, we have a nice-looking washer and dryer.
21:18Ooh.
21:19$40.
21:19So this is not e-waste.
21:22This is an appliance.
21:23And it is, is it a matching set?
21:26It is not a matching set, but it is a good-looking set.
21:29$200 for the washer and dryer.
21:31And that completes this giant unit with only eight things to sell.
21:35Not only did I not hit a bullseye, I just straight lost my darts on this one.
21:39I'm usually pretty hard to rattle, but hearing that stupid, yep, just threw me off my game.
21:43That Dave Hester, I'm going to get even one day.
21:47All right.
21:48Well, here's my room.
21:50I spent $1,000 on this unit, and let's see how our luck turns out.
21:55Short, sweet, and easy.
21:59All right.
22:00Let's take a look.
22:03Come on, Henry.
22:04Let's get this done.
22:05Clearly, nothing's changed about this game.
22:07I'm still the best there was, is, and ever will be.
22:12All right.
22:15Oh, this one feels empty.
22:18I'm going to say that's $5 for a suitcase.
22:21I'm hoping for something besides common stuff.
22:24This might be $10 there.
22:25The flea marks are kind of dying down, you know.
22:28The price isn't getting cheap.
22:29Everybody's getting tight on money.
22:31All we need is one good item.
22:33And so far, I'm not seeing it.
22:38Another empty one.
22:40That one's probably $10.
22:42Will this be it?
22:43Oh, man.
22:43There's weight in here.
22:44Let's find out what's going on in here.
22:46Some kind of sports gear.
22:49Puerto Rican.
22:50There's $10 on that one.
22:53Nice little watch.
22:54$40 on the watch.
22:55Look at this guy.
22:56He's got sports gear everywhere.
22:58Nike jersey.
23:02Oh, one more down there.
23:03A couple more down there.
23:06Oh, I got like $50 of jerseys right there.
23:08All right, Henry.
23:09What do we got?
23:09Oh, I see a Jordan box.
23:12Let me see what we got here.
23:18No luck.
23:19No Jordans.
23:20Maybe we'll find them in there loose.
23:22Oh, I see a Nike box.
23:24I hope it's full.
23:25And empty.
23:29Keep on rolling.
23:30Oh, here's another Nike shoe box.
23:32I mean, they're really strong or these are very light.
23:36Kevin Durant's, baby.
23:37That would be $300 right there.
23:40But somebody's going to have a pair of sneakers.
23:41They're going to be looking for a box.
23:43The Kobe box, the Durant box, will still bring $20 each.
23:46We got this cool lamp.
23:48I want to say $25 on the lamp.
23:54Paperwork.
23:55Fan.
23:56$10 worth of junk there.
23:58What do we have?
23:59Pins.
24:00$10 worth of junk in there.
24:03I don't think these are the swishes either that I'm looking for.
24:06Nope.
24:06$50 in shoes.
24:08Here we go.
24:08My first box is cut open.
24:13Here we go.
24:14Oh, my God.
24:15This feels like a empty shoe box.
24:20Oh, my Lord.
24:21Look at that.
24:23Is that a marching band hat or what?
24:26Not am I sure quite what that is.
24:27Kind of looks a little vintage.
24:29It's all leather inside.
24:30Look at that.
24:30I'm going to roll this right back up in here.
24:34Oh, my gosh.
24:35What is this?
24:38Looks like it might be a silver tipped on the end.
24:42V stands for, I think V stands for victory.
24:44V-I-C-T-O-R-Y.
24:46Victory, victory.
24:48That was their cry.
24:49Oh, you know what?
24:50I bet that goes with that hat.
24:53Here comes the yacht, man.
24:55I may have to research this because it's very cool.
24:59All right.
24:59Let's get down to business here and see if I can get some love out of this unit.
25:04We've got more clothes.
25:06Another $40 for the stuff.
25:08I'm going to say $20 for Christmas stuff.
25:12$20 in dolls.
25:14We have about $20 worth of blankets and car covers.
25:17$25 in backpacks.
25:19Probably $300 on the bedroom set.
25:21Man, she's got a bunch of chairs.
25:22Probably $300 for all that.
25:24You have a sectional sofa here.
25:26That's going to be about $400 right there.
25:29I'm going to make a little bit of slow money here.
25:31It's not fast money, but that slow money is the name of the game.
25:34Longevity, baby.
25:35I have this really cool hat and the baton to go check out.
25:38We'll make a few bucks and move on to the next one.
25:41Yep.
25:41Hey, Sean.
25:51Hey, how's it going?
25:53I'm in the OC meeting with Sean Balateri, the owner and founder of TTC Tennis and Pickleball
25:58Clubs.
25:59We'll see if this machine is a big deal or if I'm in a bit of a pickle.
26:03Welcome.
26:04I get some ball machines.
26:07Pickleball.
26:07Pickleball.
26:08All right.
26:09Except these balls have holes in them.
26:10Okay.
26:11Well, that's not good, right?
26:12It's bad for the bounce.
26:14Well, it's good for pickleball.
26:15Tennis.
26:15For tennis, it would not work.
26:17Isn't this the tennis club?
26:18Pickleball.
26:19What's the difference?
26:20Pickleball courts are one quarter smaller.
26:22Where the name comes from, no one knows yet, but the game was founded in 1965.
26:26Well, is it true it's America's fastest growing sport?
26:29It is the world's fastest growing sport.
26:31Really?
26:31Interesting.
26:32And why?
26:32Just because everybody can play it because the court is small?
26:34I'm assuming these balls bounce a lot slower and move slower than a tennis ball, right?
26:38Because the ball is not as fast, it makes it easier for everyone to play.
26:43Okay.
26:43And this was actually the TDC Newport Beach was the first pickleball club in the world.
26:48Really?
26:48And when we started, we didn't think anyone was going to play.
26:51But slowly it took off and look at pickleball today.
26:55Okay.
26:55If you look at a pickleball court, it looks more like a table tennis court than a tennis
26:59court.
26:59They call this area the kitchen.
27:02The kitchen?
27:02The kitchen.
27:03Why?
27:04You're not supposed to go in there.
27:05So why can't we go in the kitchen?
27:06It's one of my favorite places in the house.
27:08They want to keep you away from the net so you're not smashing balls.
27:11Good luck keeping me out of the kitchen.
27:13Casey has been trying for years.
27:14But anyway, the reason I came, Pickleball Tudor Mini.
27:19I found this in the unit.
27:21Awesome.
27:21It's a well-known company and it holds about 50 balls, goes maximum of about 40 miles an
27:28hour.
27:29Now, in your league, how fast does the ball go?
27:31That was about 100 miles an hour.
27:33Damn.
27:33This is a solid machine and it's American-made.
27:36By the way, I also got a rack, a racket.
27:39Okay.
27:41Well, it's certified by USA Pickleball, so it's approved for tournaments.
27:45Okay.
27:45That's a good thing.
27:46But this paddle is more like an entry-level paddle.
27:49But this machine will allow you to play better because you can drill, you can play on the
27:54same shots over and over.
27:55You don't need to have a partner, which is really great.
27:58It looks like it's in pretty good shape also.
28:00So, with the machine, the balls, the racket, what kind of price can you serve me up?
28:04The balls, I don't know, at most, maybe 30 bucks.
28:08Your paddle, I would say, about 20 bucks.
28:1020 bucks?
28:1120 bucks.
28:12Only because, you know, it's used.
28:13It's also not a brand name.
28:15How about the machine?
28:20The machine's amazing.
28:21It's in good shape.
28:22So, I would say...
28:23I would say 600 bucks.
28:26Hey, that's awesome.
28:27I only paid 25 for the locker.
28:29Let's go.
28:30Hey, Pickleball is already a winning proposition for me.
28:33Pardon me while I relish in this moment.
28:36But do you think we can hook it up and maybe take some swings and check out my Boris Becker?
28:43Did you get my Boris Becker reference?
28:45Yes, I did.
28:45Okay, cool, yeah.
28:46Let's go.
28:47Let's do it.
28:51Let's see if I made some money in here.
28:53This locker was only 260 bucks.
28:55Now, all I got to do is find some interesting items in it.
28:59Oh, hot glue gun.
29:00Not worth anything.
29:02Some weird stickers.
29:03I think this is more arts and crafts.
29:08Yeah.
29:08And we're off to a really great start.
29:10All those drawers, zero money.
29:12All right, we'll start over here.
29:14Get cozy.
29:15Mmm.
29:16Oh, flush.
29:17Just in case you forget.
29:19Oh.
29:22That is quite a few dildos.
29:25And essential hot wax.
29:27Hold on, let's just do that.
29:29I don't know if that was helpful.
29:34Oh.
29:35Camera.
29:37It's a Nikon.
29:38I'd probably get like 40 bucks for it.
29:39It's a little old.
29:41Not going to look at the photos.
29:44Whip.
29:45Oh, my God.
29:49Oh, my God.
29:50Look at that.
29:54Woo.
29:56All right.
29:58Um.
29:59Well, there's a lot of devices.
30:02And I still don't think I'm going to be able to sell those.
30:06Some Christmas decorations.
30:12More Christmas stuff.
30:13It's actually clean and decent.
30:15You know, like 100 bucks in decorations.
30:17Oh.
30:18These are like crystals.
30:20These are probably worth some money.
30:21Whoops.
30:22Oh.
30:24Dumber than a box of rocks.
30:25Look at that.
30:26There's a lot in here.
30:27These are all crystals and stuff.
30:29People spend a lot of money on these.
30:30But wait, there's more.
30:32Another one.
30:33It's the end of the rocks.
30:34There's probably like $200 in rocks in here.
30:40Do you think they keep that over the nightstand where they keep all their freaky s**t?
30:44This is clearly not my happy place.
30:47Pineapple.
30:48You guys know what that means.
30:51Safety first.
30:53A lot of Bibles in here.
30:55I'm going to pick a lane, people.
30:58Ooh.
30:59Hold on.
31:00Ooh.
31:00Some pink jumper cables.
31:02Ten bucks for that.
31:03Ooh.
31:04Little gun holster.
31:06Oh, they're a little outdoorsy, apparently.
31:08Twenty bucks for the holster.
31:11Five bucks for that.
31:13Five bucks for that.
31:14Binoculars.
31:16Ten bucks for those.
31:18There's a tent.
31:19Oh, you get 40 bucks for that.
31:21That's a big one.
31:22Oh, I see what we got in here.
31:24Ooh.
31:24Bag in a bag.
31:27Oh.
31:28Jewelry box.
31:30Something in it.
31:31Oh, yes.
31:35Oh, this is white gold.
31:37There's diamonds in it.
31:38I can probably get 100 bucks for that.
31:41Great.
31:42Now, if I could find more diamonds and less dildos, I'll be very happy.
31:46Mm-hmm.
31:46Oh, that's kind of cute.
31:48I can use this.
31:49I'll put it in my pile.
31:52Ah, it's a cute little mirror.
31:55This is cute, too.
31:56I can use that.
31:57I can use these.
31:59Seventy bucks for all that cute .
32:00I made my money back already, and I didn't think I would.
32:03I was, honestly, I was a little scared.
32:05Ooh, fishing stuff.
32:07I like fishing stuff.
32:10Oh, nice little tackle box.
32:12There's a lot of tackle in here.
32:14More lures and hooks.
32:16Well, I would say this box is pretty alluring for me.
32:19You get it?
32:23That's 75 bucks in fishing gear.
32:25Hell yeah.
32:25I'm keeping this.
32:31What do I think?
32:32Yeah?
32:34They have everything, you know?
32:36Whatever.
32:36What's your fantasy?
32:37Oh.
32:38Ha-ha!
32:40Yes!
32:41I might actually keep those.
32:43It's not easy to find shells in my size.
32:45Oh!
32:46Oh, my God.
32:48Damn it.
32:50Oh.
32:52Clone a willy.
32:55What in the hell were these two up to?
32:58Other than just pure fun in there.
33:03I'm going to need gloves, sage, and a therapist after this.
33:07Oh, this is cool.
33:09A little branded horseshoe.
33:10You put these over your door for good luck.
33:13$20 for that.
33:20I'm seeing it just keeps getting more and more freaky.
33:24These are chaps.
33:28Okay.
33:33Uh-huh.
33:37What the hell?
33:38Oh, my gosh.
33:40These are kind of amazing.
33:42Like some bull riding gear.
33:44This stuff looks like it actually might be worth some money.
33:46I don't know what they used it for, but these are real suede.
33:51This is real cowhide.
33:53This is definitely worth some money.
33:54I'm going to hold on to these.
33:57Find somebody to tell me it's worth a ton, because that's what I'm looking for.
34:03Howdy, cowboys.
34:05Any volunteers?
34:06So, all in all, I didn't blow my load on this unit, but I certainly got my rocks off.
34:14Oh, my gosh.
34:17Ah.
34:18I'm going to Vintage Productions to find out more about my hat and baton.
34:28From living historian Daniel Bermudez.
34:31That basically means he wears clothing from other time periods.
34:34So, I'm not sure whether this is marching band stuff or military stuff.
34:37That's why I brought it to you.
34:38Okay.
34:39Well, it's definitely British military.
34:41Both of these are very distinctive, iconic parts of the British military, especially the
34:47bearskin cap here.
34:48I may know a thing or two about iconic hats.
34:51I don't know what the stick's all about.
34:53What do you think?
34:54It appears to be a British Army swagger stick.
34:58Looking at the regimental crest here.
35:00A lot of these were actually part of the uniform.
35:02The reason for having the swagger stick being a part of the uniform was twofold.
35:06One, by carrying the regimental crest around with you, it was a sense of unit pride.
35:11Okay.
35:11Second, it also is an authoritative piece.
35:14Basically, you're out in the town, you're walking out in pression, you're going in.
35:18It shows that you are a presence and you're a presence to be reckoned with as well.
35:21The uniform you're wearing, would somebody have worn that with it?
35:23Yes.
35:24So, this particular uniform here is basically what they would call the walking out uniform
35:28for the average British soldier in World War I.
35:31The tip appears to be silver.
35:32It's definitely hand done.
35:34You can see where it's been hammered on.
35:36There's the regimental crest there.
35:38And then this other tip here, you can definitely tell, has been hammered on.
35:41It's been hammered, too.
35:42By the time of World War II, a lot of stuff like this would have been done with the machining
35:46with tooling.
35:47The stick historically was made from like a palm material.
35:50So, it's lightweight.
35:50It has a little bit of flex to it.
35:52Officers sometimes had more decorative ones done.
35:54But this looks like an issued one.
35:56And this was only worn during combat?
35:59Or was this...
36:00This particular piece, by the time of the 20th century, strictly ceremonial, this uniform
36:06would not have been the appropriate uniform to go with this hat.
36:08Like you see with the Buckingham Palace guards.
36:10Now, the bright red uniform, the very decorative uniform, appears to be what they would call
36:15a bearskin hat.
36:16It actually originated as a combat uniform going way back to the early 19th century.
36:21The idea being when troops would go across the battlefield with these tall hats, it would
36:26make them more imposing.
36:27Napoleon's guard wore these hats.
36:29And after the British defeated them, they adopted it as their own design as a combat piece.
36:33It looks like it is a Royal Fusiliers hat.
36:36So, when they were actually throwing bombs, much like you see in the cartoons with the little
36:40black bomb with the fuselet, they would run forward with these lit fused bombs and throw
36:44them at the enemy.
36:45Fusiliers were considered the toughest men on the battlefield because they had to come in close
36:49contact with the enemy.
36:50Yeah, ballsy little suckers, huh?
36:51Yes, yes.
36:52I use that same tactic.
36:54But instead of bombs, I drop lockers on my enemies.
36:58Okay, Daniel, what would these beautiful historic items actually be worth?
37:02All right, well, starting with the swagger stick, it's an older swagger stick, turn of
37:06the century, World War I era.
37:08There is a big collector's market for this particular regiment in question.
37:12The bearskin cap here, you still have the older World War II era part construction.
37:17You have the older insignia on it.
37:18All together, I would say these two artifacts here are worth $5.50.
37:28Well, bloody hell, that's not a bad profit.
37:30Everybody was running me up, and I still came out making money.
37:34And once again, the Yut Man defeats all his enemies.
37:37Thank you for your time, sir.
37:39Love the uniform.
37:40Appreciate it.
37:40I'll be back to see you next time.
37:41Sounds good.
37:42Take care, Dave.
37:51I broke Al Gerard into meeting me at the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Rodeo.
37:55He'll be able to price these items and hopefully help me forget what I saw in that locker.
37:59Welcome.
37:59Come on in.
38:01Can I carry that for you?
38:02Sure, that'd be lovely.
38:03Cowboys are always the gentlemen.
38:06Basically got a little bull rider starting kit right here.
38:09All right.
38:10Got a little vest here.
38:11That does look like a little guy.
38:12That does look like a little vest.
38:13I think that's probably a youth vest.
38:14The way this is made is so if a bull is to step on you or to mash you, it distributes the impact, right?
38:21So it's not as harmful on the contestant.
38:23So these are a great piece of safety equipment they now have in pro rodeo.
38:27This looks like you got some chaps here.
38:29Some suede, kind of Western pleasure chaps.
38:32I always thought it was chaps.
38:33It's chaps?
38:34It's actually pronounced chaps.
38:35The original word was a Mexican word.
38:37I think it was like chaparadas or something like that.
38:39A shortened version of that is technically chaps, not chaps.
38:41Chaps.
38:42So I've just been pronouncing it wrong all this time.
38:44A lot of people pronounce it wrong.
38:45In fact, so many people pronounce it wrong that maybe they're pronouncing it right nowadays.
38:48But, you know, I don't know that you would use these for rodeo.
38:50These are more kind of a pleasure riding.
38:52Okay.
38:52Based on the unit they came from, I'd say pleasure riding sounds about right.
38:56Looks like you've got a bull rope here.
39:00So this is what they would use, obviously, to put their hand into and run it back across the bull.
39:04So he would actually hold on to it here.
39:07Okay.
39:07Doesn't look to be in bad shape.
39:09So we'll put that up here.
39:12That's rosin.
39:13So what they would do with that when the bull rider is getting ready to ride the bull,
39:16he'll run it real fast like that, heat it up.
39:19Okay.
39:19So then when he runs the rope back in his hand and his grip,
39:21it's nice and sticky and got some traction for him.
39:23Okay.
39:24And then we've got these fewies right here.
39:26This is actually, what have you got here?
39:28This is maybe the neatest item you've brought me today.
39:30They look pretty neat.
39:32I don't know.
39:32I haven't seen any like that.
39:34These are some chaps, but these aren't just any chaps.
39:36These are what they refer to as woolies.
39:38That's cute, woolies.
39:39So cowboys wore chaps to protect them against the elements.
39:42You know, if they're riding the brush, they would wear the chaps, protect their saddle,
39:45give them some grip.
39:46But a good pair of woolies would keep you warm.
39:48So like if you're up in the Rockies and you go out riding and it was cold,
39:50you put on a good pair of woolies.
39:51That would keep you nice and warm.
39:53These can be hard to come by, actually.
39:54I haven't seen a whole lot of these.
39:56Okay.
39:57That's always a good sign.
39:58You see how they got the nice tooling in here?
39:59There's nothing cheap about it.
40:00These were made from a pretty good craftsman.
40:02Those are some interesting items.
40:03So what is this made out of?
40:05So that looks like, so usually these would be made out of sheep's wool,
40:09but these looks like they're actually made out of maybe angora.
40:11Angora.
40:11Like angora goat, which is actually pretty good.
40:13All right.
40:13Well, tell me what we got here.
40:15Want some money?
40:16Well, the bull riding items, the vest, the bull rope, the rosin,
40:20and the nice pair of Western Pleasure Shaps, I would say probably about $150.
40:27Great.
40:28Yeah.
40:28And you said these are, these got some value.
40:30These are kind of the gem.
40:32I like the word gem.
40:34Yeah.
40:35Those to the right person who was really looking to up their game
40:43and look great out on the horse, I would say $1,500.
40:50What?
40:51Yeah.
40:51No.
40:52I didn't think you were going to say that.
40:54Yeah.
40:54Holy .
40:55Oh, my gosh.
40:56That's a good pair of nice woolies.
40:58My goodness.
40:58Yep.
40:59$1,500.
41:00These Shaps ain't sheep, if you know what I'm saying.
41:04Yeehaw.
41:04Absolutely, Yeehaw.
41:05Yeehaw.
41:06Thank you, Al.
41:07You bet.
41:09Randy Passante Shaps made her the Shamp, wrangling a $2,100 profit.
41:15Rene Nezota's pickleball thrower proved to be his bread and butter, netting him $1,700.
41:24Dave Hester marched away with $900 buckaroos and a whole lot of f**k yous, while Ivy Calvin
41:34got upran by the Up Man.
41:36You know what?
41:40I'm kind of known as the storage king.
41:42Pickleball king is my future.
41:44Oh.
41:45Oh.
41:46I'm trying to stretch my butt-ex-glutex.
41:50Rene, are you ready?
41:50I was made for this.
41:52That's right.
41:52Come on, baby.
41:54Oh, wait.
41:54I wasn't ready for that one.
41:55We're starting, right?
41:56We're starting right now.
42:00My bad.
42:01Show me your Boris Becker backhand.
42:03Now.
42:04Becker!
42:04Excellent shot there.
42:05That's it, baby.
42:06Replay.
42:09Becker!
42:11Rene, what are you doing?
42:13I'm eating fries.
42:14But you're in the kitchen.
42:15But there's fries in the kitchen.
42:17In Pickleball, you can't go in the kitchen.
42:20Time out.
42:21Lunch break.
