00:00Auggie! Junie! Breakfast time! Come get it! Good boy! Hi baby! You hungry?
00:13Where's my boy? Okay, gotta get creative. I gotta think of something. Something different.
00:23Hmm. Dad. Gary. Yeah! Oh yeah. Yes! Bingo!
00:50Hmm. Hello Gary.
01:05When storage units are abandoned, the treasures within are put up for auction.
01:14I think I scored on this. I'm in the green! Look at this. Money, baby!
01:19Money, all this time.
01:22Danny, do you ever remember your dreams?
01:28Yeah, yeah. Matter of fact, I had a dream last night. I had a dream. I was eating this big sandwich.
01:34I had one too, Danny. I did. It was just like this. We were headed to Marino Valley, getting ready for today's auction. We get there. All of the buyers there, but they're kind of like different. They're like strange, like changing. You know how dreams kind of do that?
01:49Exactly. My dream started off. It was like a turkey sandwich. And then...
01:52Exactly. As I predicted, Danny. Today, I'm going to have premonitions on everything. I even feel as though I know there's going to be some drama. Yes!
02:01Sounds like you just know everything that's going to happen.
02:04I do. I do.
02:05Am I going to get a chance to tell you about my dream? Yes. It turned out to be a ham sandwich.
02:12How did you know that? Am I talking in my sleep? It turned into a ham sandwich. As soon as I was going to take a bite, it turned into exactly what I wanted. I didn't want turkey, but I wanted ham.
02:23It's going to be premonitions all day, I told you. I'm going to get everything I want. Everything I want. I'm getting a ham sandwich today.
02:30Man, these storage auctions are so addicting. I just can't miss an auction. It brings me to areas I don't normally even shop in.
02:38I had to come all the way out to Marino Valley because it's pure FOMO. I just know that if I don't come out here today, it's going to keep me up at night about all the stuff that I missed.
02:48I can't lose sleep from a locker. I'm already losing sleep from a toddler. I've got to see what's here.
02:57So it's bring your daughter to work day. Oh, it's bring your dad to work day. It's going to teach you how it's done, right? I can help out a little bit too. I don't mind.
03:05What do you mean you can't help out a little bit? I brought you for hard labor.
03:09What? Well, don't go buying some of that big stuff, right? I love it.
03:13Actually, I'm going to let you decide today what unit we buy. You're going to let me decide? Yeah.
03:17Well, who's paying? How many years have you been doing this again?
03:21Way too long. But enough to support a little kid from all the way from baby all the way till grown up.
03:26I was going to say little kid.
03:28Don't you move out at 18? You're old enough now. You need to take some chances, take some educated risks.
03:35Just make a good decision, please. Sit back, relax. We're going to find something nice.
03:39Let's see.
03:40Mo Valley.
03:44We're bad.
03:47Here's the mathematicals. Less money plus more value equals more valley.
03:58What up, homie?
03:59Hey, Kenny.
04:00How you doing, girl? Nice to see you.
04:01You too.
04:02Oh, my goodness. I saw you always like, is that Kenny?
04:04Yeah.
04:05My dad brought me along. You got to bring the muscles, right?
04:07Hell, yeah. He brought the brain and the muscles.
04:09Oh, yeah, exactly. Hey, I like that. There he is.
04:12Here comes Shauna now. What's up, Shauna now?
04:13What's up, bro?
04:14All right, now, low-key bowser.
04:17Ready to party.
04:18You want to get one shirt on?
04:19Yeah.
04:20I got two.
04:21You're going to take one of them. You're going to be a striptease out here. They're going to be hot.
04:24You know, I probably can walk on the sidewalk and make a little something-something.
04:26You know how we do in West Frankfurt?
04:28Yeah.
04:30Say, you know what, bro? I never ate schnitzel.
04:33You never ate schnitzel?
04:34No, what the hell is a schnitzel?
04:35They got to take you. Oh, my gosh.
04:37It's the best.
04:38I think Germany invented it.
04:39Any meat that they had, they would just deep fry.
04:41Schnitzel is just any meat?
04:43In Germany, the famous schnitzel is pork schnitzel.
04:45Ain't that something.
04:46Yeah.
04:47Renee knows a whole lot of schnitzel about schnitzel.
04:50What's up, bro?
04:51Hi.
04:52What's up, girl?
04:53I'm looking great.
04:54What's up, yeah.
04:55You smell good.
04:56I washed you.
04:59Sweating balls out here.
05:01I'm not getting enough respect from the other buyers.
05:04So today, I'm going to be the person that I respect the most.
05:07My good old Daddy Gary.
05:09Hey, it's not the first time somebody's come to an auction in disguise.
05:13When I get out of that chair, my own mother's not going to recognize me.
05:18I can't spoil my cover, so I've got to lay low and be cool as all heck.
05:25Well, look who's in town!
05:28Hey!
05:29How you doing?
05:30Oh, my gosh.
05:31Come on.
05:32You know I want some love.
05:33Oh, my God.
05:34I dreamt you were here last time.
05:35Really?
05:36And that you're going to score.
05:37I'm hungry.
05:38I need it.
05:39Oh, wow.
05:40You know Danny dreamt about food.
05:41All right, so enough about dreams.
05:42Tell me about your dream, Kenny.
05:43My dream?
05:44Me finding a locker with a lot of money in it.
05:45What's the craziest dream you've had?
05:46Probably riding a unicorn.
05:47Unicorn?
05:48For real?
05:49You ride a unicorn?
05:50I'm not embarrassed.
05:51Where else are you supposed to ride a unicorn but in your dreams?
05:54All right, welcome to the auction.
05:55We're Dan and Laura Austin with the American D.
05:57Auctioneer.
05:58Before you go through these gates, you need to know the rules.
05:59You're going to go to the unit, remove the lock, open the door, and give you five minutes
06:04to take a look around.
06:05You can't go inside.
06:06You can't open any boxes.
06:07And who's ever got the most money in their pocket can own it today.

07:18Yeah, this looks pretty interesting.
07:19Uh, well, uh, I like how tidy it is.
07:21It is tidy.
07:22It's a big old TV though.
07:23And it's mysterious too.
07:24Just see how this one rolls out.
07:25Do you think he knows it's me?
07:26Nah.
07:27If he did, he'd be busting my chops right now.

08:07She thinks being some weirdo is going to help her.
08:11It never helped me.

08:52Thank you, America.
08:53I dreamt you won that.
08:56Machaca Cuevo for everybody.
08:58I got nine boxes to open.
09:00I spend more time in the drive-thru to figure out what I'm gonna order.
09:04Now this is what I'm talking about.
09:06Less money, more value.
09:08We gonna go to the popcorn thing.
09:10It brought back so many childhood years right here.
09:13$10 for this.
09:14It's all about the paint bag.
09:16This is the main reason why I got this here unit.
09:19And what we got in here?
09:20Papers.
09:21Kenny, you got bamboozled.
09:23This is no money.
09:25Come on, Kenny.
09:26Look at this.

09:40Like Santa Claus used this red carpet.
09:43Oh, there they go.
09:44Oh, my God.
09:45Looked like everybody walked $1,000 in their shoes.
09:48They said $20 for this here box here.
09:50They spent all the money on tape instead of a good brand name shoe.
09:55Oh, my God.
10:00They spent all the money on tape instead of a good brand name shoe.
10:04Oh, my God.
10:06This is a thong.

10:09Ding-a-ling.

10:46Look.
10:47There's stick-ems.

11:00Please let there be something in here.
11:03Clothes.
11:04Again.
11:06About $25 worth of clothes.
11:09Well, America, your boy has been struck out in Marino Valley.
11:14And you know what it is?
11:16It's time to go back to the auction.
11:18Because your boy messed up a hundred-something hamburgers.
11:21Come on.
11:22Let's go.
11:23Oh, boy.
11:24Tools to make you drool.
11:25Look at those.

11:27We got some airplanes.
11:28Some fishing poles.
11:29Some old, they look like toolboxes.

11:32That's a nice dresser.
11:33We got some fishing poles.
11:34All right.
11:35That's for, uh, I am probably the sports person.
11:36You do look sporty.
11:37Yeah, I prefer a bow and arrow, but, you know.

12:44Just one stick.
12:45There's no smoking at the auction.
12:47Okay.
12:48Oh, Lord.
12:49Gary.
12:50Steve, don't smoke on the job.
12:52All right.
12:55Here we go.
12:56How much money?

13:436,75 now.
13:44All right.
13:45Good enough.
13:46I think 75 would have been 7.
13:48Psychological warfare would have been 7.
13:49What did Gary ever do to anybody?
13:51I don't know, but Gary needs to go 700
13:53if Gary's playing this game.

14:07Hell yeah!
14:08Woo!
14:09Woo!
14:10Woo!
14:11Oh, my God!
14:12Oh, .
14:15Lisa, you've got a mustache!
14:17I love it!
14:18Hang on.
14:19He almost looked like a white Tupac.
14:21Ha ha ha ha!
14:23All right!
14:23You had me confused, Gary.
14:25Get your glasses.
14:27Lisa is Steve, I mean, Gary.
14:29I mean, Steve is Gary, and Gary is Lisa.
14:35Well, I guess my strategy kind of worked.
14:37I mean, I got it.
14:38I think this is a good locker.
14:40But I wish I didn't have to spend so much on it.
14:42Oh!
14:43I can't get any respect around here as Lisa or Gary.
14:52All right!
14:53Somebody's taking this home!
14:55Oh, yeah!
15:01I didn't know, though, that you were you until I got it.
15:03You didn't?
15:04Not at all.
15:05That's why he kept going, what are you missing with that stranger?
15:08And I'm like, there's something about him.
15:10You got the accent down.
15:11Yeah.
15:11Somewhere between Texas and Oklahoma.
15:13Yeah.
15:14You know I done grown up where I done grown up.
15:16Ha ha ha!
15:17All right.
15:18What do we have here?
15:19Ceramic pie plate there?
15:21Well, you know what?
15:22It looks like somebody was selling because, look, everything has price tags on it.
15:25Yeah.
15:26A lot of the stuff is vintage.
15:27That's a good luck.
15:28There's a lot of potential.
15:29Let's see.
15:30Let's see what it goes for.
15:31This person was obviously reselling vintage holiday stuff.
15:34I mean, it's good just for the volume.
15:37Holidays right around the corner always, especially for vintage Christmas.
15:40Vintage Christmas, sellable year-round, every day.
15:43Mmm.

23:41What do we got here?
23:42Ooh, some Halloween stuff.
23:43Elise is clean.
23:44This is kind of cool.

23:52Hold on.
23:53Oh my goodness.
23:54Oh my gosh.
23:55Oh, it's a kayak.
23:55It's foldable.
23:56Take it outside here for a second.
23:57Okay.
23:58I like that you're helping.
23:59Hey, you know what?
24:00You want to learn to be a buyer, so this is what I do.
24:01How do you open this?
24:02You've got to be smarter than an average kayak.
24:03Come on.
24:04Okay.
24:05Okay.
24:06Unclick that.
24:07There we go.
24:08It's kind of cool.

24:13Oh, this is big.
24:14Oh my goodness.
24:15This is like the SS Titanic.
24:16It's called kayaking.
24:17Yeah, bring it over there.
24:18Looks like a big whale.
24:19I know somebody that can look at her.
24:21Hey, that's promising, right?
24:23Let's see what else we can find.
24:24Watch out.
24:25Watch out.
24:26Beep beep.
24:27Professional coming through.
24:28Come on.
24:29Step back.
24:30Step back.
24:31Heavy.
24:33Let's pull this out.
24:34Okay.
24:35Let's see what else we can find.
24:36Watch out.
24:37Watch out.
24:38Beep beep.
24:39Professional coming through.
24:40Come on.

24:44Um, well, it's beep.
24:46So, zero.
24:47Let's see.
24:48Is the hot plate clean or dirty?
24:51Well, the box is broken, so.
24:53Pick it up again.
24:54No, but it's, uh, it's dirty.
24:57The box.
24:58You're going to sell the box itself?
25:00Oh, well, it's brand new.
25:01Now it's brand new.
25:02Oh, okay.
25:03Never mind.
25:04How much would you say?
25:05It's like 10 bucks, right?
25:0610 bucks.
25:07That scooter right there.
25:08It looks like it's complete.
25:09It actually has the key in there.
25:10Oh, yeah, you're right.
25:11Most likely you will have to buy a brand new battery for that.
25:13I bet you you can sell this to somebody for 100 bucks that reconditions these things.
25:17High five.
25:18This is money right here.
25:20Ooh.
25:21Doc Martens, nice.
25:2240 bucks used.
25:23And ooh, ResMed stuff.
25:25Actually, can we sell this stuff?
25:27You don't want to find the machines because that's illegal to sell.
25:29But supplies like this, all day long.
25:31I bet you that's 40.
25:32The replacement tank is 60.
25:34The hose is at least 20.
25:36And at that part, 10 bucks.
25:37Here's some more.
25:38Three more there.
25:39All right.
25:40So let's say 10 each, 30.
25:41Here's another one, actually.
25:42Here's another.
25:43Oh, water tank.
25:44These are good.
25:45These are 60 bucks a piece.
25:46Here's another core.
25:47Any bucks?
25:48That's 20.
25:49Oh, ResMed.
25:50There we go.
25:5140 bucks.
25:52DVD player.
25:53So actually, these do good online because people buy them to burn the old VHS.
25:56If you verify that this works, you get like 100 bucks for these.
25:58Okay.
25:59Another water tank.
26:0060.
26:01So we bought the unit because of that box.
26:03You bought the unit.
26:04Mm-hmm.
26:05So what I want you to do, I want you to pick it up, put it on top here.
26:08Oh.
26:09So we bought the unit because of that box.
26:14You bought the unit.
26:15Mm-hmm.
26:16So what I want you to do, I want you to pick it up, put it on top here.
26:19Oh.
26:20That is not a good reaction.
26:22Oh, no.
26:23It was actually the movie Dumb and Dumber.
26:26Oh, is that like a metaphor for us?
26:30Oh, my gosh.
26:31You bought it.
26:32But you know, you got another 20 bucks in DVDs.
26:33Oh.
26:34You have the SS Titanic over there.
26:35We have to go get checked out.
26:37You know what?
26:38Let's take this ResMed stuff.
26:39Yeah.
26:40Let's get out of here.
26:41We'll load the rest.
26:42Let's go kayaking.
26:48I'm meeting Charles Phoenix at King Richard's Antique Vintage Center to show him my Vendorama.
26:54I'm hoping it dispenses some serious cash.
26:57I love it.
26:58Very cool piece.
26:59Well, hi, Charles.
27:00I'm Dusty.
27:01How you doing, Dusty?
27:02Dusty or Dustin?
27:03Well, you know.
27:04I'm going to call you Dustin.
27:05I like it.
27:06It's very on point for you.
27:08Speaking of on point ballpoint pens, this is an awesome vending machine.
27:12First of all, you know what I really love about it?
27:14The way the word says Vendorama.
27:16I mean, anything with an O-rama, that actually adds value to this.
27:20And also the fact that it's kind of written in your favorite lesbian aunt's handwriting.
27:24We love that.
27:25So yeah, it's a ballpoint pen vending machine.
27:28The first thing that draws me to it is the color.
27:30And look how many colors there are.
27:32It looks like Easter in there.
27:34It's a classic mid-century, 50s, early 60s.
27:38Great quality.
27:39It's a little wood cabinet.
27:40I can absolutely guarantee you this is a rare vending machine to find.
27:44I've never seen it.
27:45Have you?
27:46No, this is the first time.
27:47Yeah, I've never seen this before.
27:48Definitely exciting.
27:49So basically at this point, this is a piece of art as well as a cool collectible.
27:54And it's got a good crossover too, right?
27:56I could sell it to a pen collector, an advertising collector, a mid-century decorator.
28:01You're right.
28:02A wide range of different customers, no?
28:03It does.
28:04Good point.
28:05Let's see if it works.
28:06There's a dime right here, actually.
28:07Oh, careful.
28:08Don't grab the mouse poop.
28:09Oh, what?
28:10Mouse poop?
28:11Yeah.
28:12I don't want any mouse poop.
28:13It's a full package.
28:14Okay, you get it all here.
28:15Here goes the diamond.
28:16Oh, look at it.
28:17It turns and everything.
28:19Oh, there is one that came out.
28:20Oh, you've got the two-for-one.
28:22There is two.
28:23Oops.
28:24A pink and a red and a pink and a green.
28:26These colors just scream 1950s kitchen.
28:30There's a certain quality about this plastic.
28:32It has a nice shine to it.
28:34It feels good.
28:35It looks good.
28:36All these pens actually really add to the value of it.
28:39And it works.
28:40And it works, right.
28:41But thing is, it really needs a good detail to bring out the real value.
28:45This is very, very, very clean-effable.
28:48Any great invention ends with O-Rama.
28:51I know.
28:52But there's one O-Rama that I'm the most worried about.
28:55What?
28:56I want to know about the revenue-O-Rama.
28:58And I'm not trying to print dimes here, Charles, so cut straight to the chase.
29:01Okay.
29:02This Vindorama.
29:04I would say not a penny less than 750.
29:10Mwah.
29:11I would say you scored.
29:12Tasty.
29:13Anything with O-Rama behind it is like, it just kind of gives the human spirit a depth of importance and thrill.
29:20It doesn't get more classic than that.
29:27Whew.
29:28Here we go.
29:29I paid $700 for this locker.
29:33I hope Gary knew what he was doing.
29:35Okay.
29:36Well, shoot.
29:37I didn't even notice we got golf clubs in here.
29:38I'm no Cougar Woods, but I bet these are worth $100.
29:41Ooh.
29:42This looks like something Gary would sport, actually.
29:4480s era jean jacket.
29:4530 bucks.
29:46Ooh.
29:47That's a $10 raincoat.
29:48Look at that.
29:49A little airplane stained glass.
29:50That's a $40 thing.
29:51Okay.
29:52We got a Humminbird stained glass.
29:53I would say that's a $30 piece.
29:54You know, these are great.
29:55You know, you can't have too many of these wet dry backs.
29:5715 bucks.
29:58Why do they make things so hard to get into these days?
30:03Ooh, that's a big old level.
30:04You put it up against something.
30:07You put it up against something.
30:09You put it up against something.
30:12You put it up against a little bit.
30:15You put it up against a little bit.
30:17You put it up against a little bit.
30:19You put it up against something to make sure it's on straight.
30:22You got to look at the juice in the tubes.
30:24What you're going to want is a nice little bubble.
30:28That's a $20 item.
30:32Yeah, boring old tools.
30:34Oh, we got twins.
30:38More tools.
30:3920 bucks for the pair.

31:15We've got some clothings.
31:17Damn, look at that Blue Angels t-shirt.

31:24Oh, cool.
31:25What's this?
31:26Vintage military blouse.
31:28Matching vintage military pants.
31:30$75.
31:31Yes.
31:32A box of cassettes.

31:45Ooh.
31:46Ooh, this looks like a neat old box.
31:50Ooh.
31:51Cool old knickknacks.
31:52Look at that sweet Honda belt buckle.
31:53I think Gary might like that for sure.
31:54Yeah, we just got an assortment of grandpa, like, kind of cool, funky grandpa stuff in here.
32:06This is a 1943 silver dollar.
32:09I'm going to say this is a $75 box, actually, all said and done.
32:13Here's some more old collectible coins.
32:15There's a series of them, so I'm going to say these are $75.
32:18Ooh, a bin.
32:19Okay, what do we got here?
32:21Oh, this looks like some kind of robot piece.
32:24Damn.
32:25It's got gears on it and just dropped down from outer space.
32:29Neither Lisa nor Gary has any clue what this is.
32:32It's heavy as hell and, heck, I'd say this looks like a key component to a time machine.
32:38I think I'm going to try and find some sort of metal expert who can give me more insight
32:43onto this strange, mysterious object.
32:47These are prospect dishes.
32:49$25.
32:50We got a bunch of vintage fishing poles.
32:53Nine fishing poles at $10 each for the poles.
32:56That'll be $90.
32:57And then this is a nice deep sea reel.
33:00Got another one of those over here.
33:02$50 each.
33:03So that's another $100.
33:05What's this?
33:07Feels like an empty box, but let's just see.
33:10Oh.
33:11Huh.
33:12Altitude.
33:13The box says, Aerosaur International.
33:18It does have a picture of a hot air balloon on it.
33:21Wait a minute.
33:22Hang on.
33:23I just got struck by lightning of an idea.
33:26That might be a hot air balloon hot maker.
33:31And then this thing tells you how far you're going to fall.
33:35You know what?
33:36I'll be honest.
33:37I'm afraid of heights.
33:38But I'm not afraid of high profits.
33:40So I'm going to find somebody who knows a thing or two about a hot air balloon.
33:45I guess I'm going to start loading up.
33:49All right.
33:50Here we go.
33:51Come on, Gary.
33:52That's what involves out here.
34:01Kenyatta and I are having a beach day.
34:03Watch out for the rocks.
34:04It's okay.
34:05I got the rocks, I think.
34:06Watch out for the rocks.
34:07I got it.
34:08I got it.
34:09I got it.
34:10We're meeting the owner of Laguna Ethos, Justin Berenson.
34:12We're hoping that this kayak turns our beach day into a payday.
34:16Justin.
34:17Hey, Renee.
34:18What's happening?
34:19What's up, guys?
34:20I got a kayak.
34:21Jabba right here.
34:22Perfect.
34:23Hey.
34:24Nice. Hey.
34:25Renee.
34:26Justin.
34:27Tatiana.
34:28Nice to meet you.
34:29Nice to meet you.
34:30Nice.
34:31I haven't seen one of these in a while.
34:32Is that good or bad?
34:33No, this is a great kayak.
34:34A lot of people want this mostly because it's one of the only folding kayaks that you can get that's actually high quality.
34:37It's super portable.
34:39You can bring it anywhere.
34:40You don't have to carry an 80-pound kayak.
34:41These are great.
34:42You trust a folding kayak?
34:43Oh, yeah.
34:44The Oru kayaks are sturdy.
34:46Really?
34:47Yeah.
34:48It seems like it's made of the same stuff I put my taxes in.
34:50Ah.
34:51No, a little more sturdy than that.
34:53Really?
34:54Yeah.
34:55The first thing you want to do is pull up this.
34:58There we go.
34:59We got it.
35:00How many people can this hold up to, do you think?
35:02One.
35:03One?
35:04Oh, my goodness.
35:05How big of a people?
35:06The weight limit's about 280 pounds.
35:08Good.
35:09I got to go.
35:10All right.
35:11I think I have this side pretty well.
35:12You guys are doing a good job.
35:13Hey, thanks, Renee.
35:15You're welcome.
35:16Appreciate the feedback.
35:17Honestly, it kind of looks like a origami.
35:18It really does.
35:19So is that supposed to be the seat there, or?
35:22So this is actually the floorboard.
35:24It's going to give the kayak a lot more stability once it's all tightened up.
35:28But your seat is this little guy, which will go right here and right here.
35:34Don't worry.
35:35It's going to make sense once it's all put together.
35:37Famous last words.
35:38Renee, you really don't have enough faith, man.
35:40No, I'm just like a realist.
35:41The important question is how are we looking on shark attacks here?
35:44Rule of thumb with sharks is if you put your finger in the water and it tastes salty, they're
35:49sharks.
35:50How many have you encountered?
35:51Not that many.
35:52How many is not that many?
35:53Maybe 10.
35:54Okay.
35:55Well, I'm at zero, so that's a lot.
35:57All right.
35:58We're going to hold this rail down.
35:59Okay.
36:00It's going to lock into these little grooves, which help keep everything locked into place
36:05nice and secure.
36:06Ta-da!
36:07There's all these little straps.
36:08It's so perfectly put together.
36:10I love this thing.
36:11So how does it look condition-wise?
36:13There's a couple minor scuffs, but structurally it looks great.
36:17All the seals are intact, but there's only one way to truly find out, which is giving it
36:22a little test.
36:23What do you say we take it for a spin?
36:25All right.
36:26Do your thing, girl.
36:27All right.
36:28All right.
36:29Before we head out, we're dealing with mother nature here, so we're going to take her seriously.
36:34We're going to go down to the water's edge.
36:35Here we go.
36:36Here we go.
36:37Teamwork.
36:38Bye!
36:39Next time, can't we just go to like a kayak store or something?
36:42It just got real.
36:43I don't see any leaks here.
36:45That looks good.
36:46Oh my goodness.
36:48Next time, can't we just go to like a kayak store or something?
36:56It just got real.
36:57I don't see any leaks here.
36:58That looks good.
36:59Oh my goodness.
37:01Shark!
37:02Woo!
37:03Yeah!
37:04Beautiful ocean.
37:05Looks like it's working.
37:06Looking good.
37:07Looking good.
37:08Looking good.
37:09I call it the ocean!
37:10Woo!
37:11Woo!
37:12No leaks!
37:13Take me home, option.
37:14Take me home.
37:15She's just going to make it back.
37:16Good.
37:17Good for business.
37:18Woo!
37:19This thing works great.
37:20Nice work.
37:21Okay.
37:22This is exhausting work.
37:23How was it?
37:24That was awesome.
37:25You did so good.
37:27You made it look easy.
37:28I loved it.
37:29It didn't sink.
37:30It didn't break.
37:31Any sharks?
37:32No sharks.
37:33I survived.
37:34There you go.
37:35It's a seaworthy kayak.
37:36How much does it worth?
37:37Great condition.
37:38Super seaworthy.
37:39I'm actually surprised how well it did out there.
37:40So...
37:41Easily $1,200.
37:42Hey, hey, hey!
37:43Boom!
37:44All right, let's fold it up.
37:45Now's your time to shine.
37:46You're gonna unfold it, right?
37:47Good.
37:48Boom!
37:49All right, let's fold it up.
37:50Now's your time to shine.
37:51You're gonna unfold it, right?
37:52All right.
37:54Cool.
37:55You're gonna be a little bit more.
37:57Come on.
37:58All right, let's fold it up.
38:00All right, let's fold it up.
38:02Now's your time to shine.
38:03you're gonna unfold it right how hard could it be you've got this clip clip clip clip clip clip
38:14hold on did that guy just run away with my daughter
38:17I tracked down badass hot air balloon pilot Cheryl Reichert I want to find out what this thing is
38:34worth and honestly what it is because I'm really tired of calling it a hot maker hello oh hi hi
38:43are you Cheryl I am nice to meet you I'm Lisa nice to meet you Lisa I got what do you have there well
38:48that's what I'm hoping you can tell me I don't know what the heck this is um this is actually
38:53a hot air balloon burner do you know much about hot air balloons I know absolutely nothing I mean
39:01I know that there's baskets involved so it is the oldest form of flight and they used to build
39:05wood piles and shoot heat up into a paper bag basically well now we have fabric and we have
39:12burners and this is the part that you connect to the propane tank it has a valve that opens and
39:18lets the propane in and there's a pilot light like your furnace and the propane shoots up into the
39:24envelope and that's how we heat the air to give the balloon lift so this is a burner except you happen
39:29to have a really old burner here the good news is that's a cool burner and it's clean the bad news is
39:36it goes to a very old system okay this one is an Aerostar and it goes to a basket that is no longer
39:44made these burners are no longer made so that can be good when someone is hunting for it and doesn't
39:50have one okay but it can be bad when you can buy parts for it so anyone with this burner if it fails
39:57they're probably gonna be able to find the parts and fix their own I see I'm just taking in what
40:02I'm seeing here these baskets look really old-timey so here's one of your older Aerostar baskets this
40:08one was made back in the 50s the stuff lasts a really long time the 80s for this one and here's
40:13a system that was built in this century you can see the designs are still basically the same they use
40:18wicker because it's such a light material and you need something super light and super strong so you
40:23have a wicker basket you put a propane torch in the middle of it light it up what could possibly go
40:28wrong okay moving on there's more oh you've got an old ball instrument this is the cable that runs
40:38up into the envelope of the balloon and you can use this instruments to read the temperature oh all
40:43right so fancy it is working which is pretty awesome it reads altitude fabulously it is also
40:50pretty old that's all right it's been replaced by new tech which is digital okay Cheryl is this
40:57all hot air are you gonna elevate my profits well I'll tell you what for the right buyer you find
41:03the right guy that's looking for this particular instrument journeyman um
41:07so combination 300. great that totally floats my basket Cheryl glad to hear it congratulations my
41:18happiness is your happiness thank you Cheryl and I'm almost convinced that I would be open to getting
41:24into a hot air balloon basket excellent Renane is actually no Tatiana Nazoda paddled off with seventeen
41:35hundred dollars dusty reach-o-rama turned his pens into sixteen hundred Benjamins Lisa slash Gary
41:44Delarios went from burner to earner banking six hundred bucks while Kenny Crosley couldn't rally in Mo Valley
41:53most ballooning is done in very calm conditions but I have seen hot air balloon baskets with fiberglass
42:02in the bottom so that you could look out the bottom it's terrifying to me who wants to do that so
42:06wait terrifying to you but your pilot I am are you afraid of heights I am actually no fear of falling so
42:13when I go to the edge of things what's interesting I have no problem getting up in a hot air balloon I've
42:17always considered myself afraid of heights but maybe I'm just afraid of falling well I would love to take you
42:22flying oh wow feel the burn Lisa I told you I'd get you up here oh my god you know what this really
42:32isn't so bad Cheryl I think I've overcome my fear Cheryl this is great thank you for everything oh wow look I
42:44think I can see my car there's the food
