At the last Senedd election 16 and 17 year olds were able to vote for the first time, and now the UK Government want to bring Westminster elections in line with Cardiff Bay. We’re asking people in Newport if they think 16 and 17 year olds are old enough to be able to vote.

00:23as an adult when you should be able to make that decision i think 18 was a good age because right
00:27now i think oh yeah you can take in these factors these factors what are they going to bring to the
00:31country what are they going to do for us are they going to fix health care are they going to fix
00:34you know like taxes at 16 not worrying about taxes in one way no because they're still at 16 17 do you
00:41really know you know do you really grasp reality in that sense with you know governments and and
00:49things like that and promises they make to people who are living you know trying to survive basically
00:55and but at the same time they have a voice as well
