00:00Wales is an incredibly beautiful place. You've got anything you could ever want from a holiday and
00:08despite people maybe not seeing us at much of a classic beach holiday destination we've got
00:12plenty of places where you can soak up the sun lying on the sand from the quiet excluded peaceful
00:17beaches to the busy bustling funfair spots. I'm here in Newport asking people for their
00:22favourite beaches all across Wales. Yeah I love Porth Coal. I always used to go to Porth Coal
00:27like for a lot of years. I take my daughter when she was young and we used to stay in Treckle Bay all
00:31the time. It's very beautiful. I just love the beaches and it's a beautiful place yeah. Childhood
00:39memories down there used to go down for six weeks in the summer. I used to work with the horses on
00:44the beach and yeah yeah it was good times and now it's all going because they're closing the fair
00:50and it's just dying off so. Barry Island. Why is it Barry Island? Why do you like Barry Island?
01:00I just think it's nice. I love the waves and it's just good. Yeah and the thing is like when the
01:08children were little we used to go love like on a Friday and a Saturday going up to the fair you know
01:12it was brilliant so I think it will be sad for the area to to lose that you know definitely and obviously
01:18and obviously Porth Coal is famous for it. It's Elvis weekend which obviously I've gone on a couple
01:23years ago and absolutely love that. It was brilliant so that's another fabulous place to go obviously for
01:29that too isn't it? Barry for me I love that you've got the actual beach and then if you go up around
01:35you've got like the little hill that goes up you've got like the rock beaches there's a load of
01:39places to walk around like there's loads to do in Barry. I think it's really cute. It's on this foot
01:42but beach next to Tenby it's quiet it's got all like the chicken and everything it's great it's
01:47just gonna knock all those people it's good. Sand dunes further down past Treco and you go to Newton
01:55side and you've got all the sand dunes and things it's just lovely. I've just come back from Tenby last
02:01week I like Tenby and Saunders for yeah I wouldn't say Barry and the Porth Coal no but I like those
02:12beaches in this country in Wales and you know but I like those beaches you know I really like them with
02:19the harvest you know. It's the mix of beaches which plays well into Wales's hands you've got European
02:26award-winning beaches across the north and west coasts and you've got the Barry's and the Porth
02:31Coals that people love so much. Cardigan Beach is good as well. Cardigan's really beautiful. Depending
02:37on what you want if you want like sand if you want rock pools if you want like cliffs to jump off there's
02:42a million different beaches you can try to do everything so yeah I think we are a good holiday
02:47destination just maybe not Newport because. And what are you going to do when you go to the beach?
02:53and maybe go in the ocean.
