Jonny Drury and Lewis Cox discuss the West Brom goalkeeper situation on the latest episode of the Baggies Broadcast.
Josh Griffiths and Joe Wildsmith have both appeared in pre-season - with the two being given a half each in the defeat to Blackpool on Saturday.
Jonny and Lewis look at who comes out on top, and whether Albion may move into the transfer window for another goalkeeper before the end of the summer.

00:00i think if it's the goalkeepers they're there now it's going to start with griffiths
00:04but have you have you picked up any sense coxie that alvin might move for a goalkeeper in the
00:10the current window given the fact that griffiths is still quite inexperienced i don't say inexperienced
00:14played over 120 efl games but you know in terms of age compared to and from our perspective yeah um
00:22josh griffiths was one of the one of the many interviewees in austria wasn't he um
00:27i my impression like you're absolutely right look his last season ended albeit with a caretaker
00:33manager and as as we are either here and now griffiths is number one it's as simple as that i
00:37mean that's nothing against joe wildsmith but i think that's quite clear um i haven't gone at
00:43anything that suggests that alvin are actively looking to change that in terms of a number one
00:50a keeper change but what what i would add to that and this is something we'll get on i think as the
00:54answers go and maybe into the the latter section of the pod when we're speaking about other things i
00:58think within reason i think there's possible there are possibles really for more or less any albion
01:07player to it sounds dramatic and i don't intend it to i don't mean it to but realistically there's
01:13possibilities for more or less any album player to i would say move on um before now and the end of the
01:18the window now i've written several times including this week that you know obviously a mid as we go
01:23interesting players are imminent you know we know us defender george campbell's set to check in
01:29obviously there's been reports about the star korean um attacker from the k league now you know albin
01:36clearly within reason back in mason to bring in you know to boost the squad now the club aren't in a
01:43position within financial fair play in psr where they can just continue to spend like this without
01:48you know coming a cropper really with the the psr um constraints and stuff so something we'll have to
01:55give now look clearly clearly there are players albion would rather sell than ones they wouldn't want to
02:01however it just so happens that the players that are really a value of the club and naturally the better
02:10players the players the more regular players the younger players now i think for me and this is
02:14nothing new because it's been happening for a number of years but i think you could probably
02:17categorize josh griffiths within that i think as a as a young player with promised potential some
02:22experience that would probably garner interest i think from across the the you know the level perhaps
02:29clubs are level above looking looking forward to the future you know it's just a 23 year old future with
02:34hundreds of games behind and so yeah my i suppose my point is that watch this space regards to
02:42interest that i suppose will come in in albion talent really and as it stands at the moment i expect
02:48griffiths to be number one if the season started tomorrow of course and i don't necessarily expect
02:53him to leave uh but i think you know all options are on the table really and whatever sales happen
03:01and ultimately i would suggest depend on the level and the seriousness of the interest in the player
03:06you know like it's that old adage isn't it everyone's got a price um some higher than other in
03:12albin's squad everyone's in a different situation like there are aging players who are on bigger money
03:16who you know i'm sure albin would happily sort of move on if it could work for all parties but
03:22yeah it's an interesting one isn't it because the squad is getting replenished well it looks so far
03:27you know and matt phillips hegeber um more to follow in other areas loans will happen but um
03:33some balancing and some tinker in the other way will will come so um it's going to be very interesting
03:39in the coming weeks when that's you know when that begins to happen thank you very much for your
03:44question lee uh leah watkins has said how likely is it now that fellows might stay or if that is the
03:52case then how does that affect our plans both tactically and also for other transfers i think we kind
03:56of touched on this last week didn't we coxie you know the fact that the johnson move was off you
04:01know albin's probably still got to do a bit of moving and shaking to to get around the psr issue
04:07you know they're not out of the woods my my gut feeling on the fellows deal is that if a reasonable
04:12bid that they won't be lowball but if a reasonable bid comes in i think tom fellows potentially might not
04:18be an army player yeah i mean see the answer i just gave i think i think it's fairly clear that
04:27fellows is i was going to say within the top two club assets maybe the top three you know i was
04:34sort of categorizing him with an eyes of price a similar age possibly valuable
04:39you know what didn't cost albin a penny when it comes to the books and stuff he's he's probably
04:47still the you know golden egg isn't he probably still the asset and i i still like again this this
04:56is not necessarily with you know full information but i would still anticipate clubs to have an interest
05:03in fellows this summer um now look that might not necessarily resort into anything concrete
05:08especially soon but i just wonder when things will start to you know domino effects will start
05:13to happen something caught my eye this morning actually as we speak and it may you know it's
05:18probably totally unrelated but it did catch my eye still um brentford are pushing hard for amari
05:24hutchinson i think i saw a report of around 35 million i think uh i think a trigger had passed for a
05:32release clause or something anyway the point is yeah you know relegated it switch amari hutchinson
05:36similar position to fellows you just wonder if you it's like a domino effect isn't it clubs
05:43of a similar ilk or above you know a brentford or a club you probably expect that we'll be watching
05:48a fellows but if if something happens there and all of a sudden you know ipswich have got a load of
05:54money and you know would need to replace the right winger like that or something you know may they
05:58have a look i've said before haven't i it wouldn't surprise me if southampton
06:02previously interested in fellows came back for him another relegated side you know but does that
06:07depend on whether their winger tyler dibbling moves on you know possibly i think these things could
06:13happen like that i think you know once one sort of thing goes through once one move goes through
06:18especially one in value like that i think you could see things move but look i hope i hope tom fellow
06:23stays i really do um we probably said didn't we johnny for the final few months of last season that if
06:31albin don't go up then we'd be surprised or we expect fellows would move on this summer
06:35um not quite a 21 year old winger with a season and a half behind him and he finished top assist
06:41there in the champ last season it's it's it's hard to justify clubs not coming in for him to be honest
06:46that's not to say last season was flawless for fellows it was his first full season he had peaks
06:51and troughs and he had little periods out the side or when it wasn't quite going well for him
06:56but he remains clearly a real asset and um yeah i think one to keep tabs on and monitor as as sort
07:04of moves maybe between the premier league and the championship and abroad starts to happen
