00:00i'm sure i've done a lot of work on the scenes already in terms of incomings what are your kind
00:13of early predictions for the transfer window in terms of like you said incomings you know i wrote
00:19a piece last week i i expect albin to maybe spend a little bit of money i expect to work the loan
00:23market which they didn't do kind of very well last season you know and and they'll of course be
00:27looking at possible free agents abroad or maybe even closer to home do you expect much early
00:34business and kind of if so you know what are you uh what are you predicting yeah it's um slightly
00:41different this year isn't it the window opens on the the briefly it's two little windows isn't it
00:45the window opens on the first june the first which is just checking um a sunday and it's open for 10
00:50days isn't it for the club world cup before a break into the proper window so yeah an earlier opportunity
00:56to do some deals and would i be surprised if something was announced within that period not
01:02not necessarily at all but in terms of what albin need to do i mean you mentioned one thing there
01:06johnny which i think really hits the nail on the head and in terms of andrew nester you know someone
01:10we've been talking about when it comes to the new head coach appointment but in terms of andrew nester
01:15and i suppose more so ian pierce and that director of football ops role ian pierce obviously kind of
01:20oversees the recruitment scouting team under andrew nester but the department the club really needs to
01:27improve in is the loan department isn't it now it's been some seasons you know go back what i don't know
01:34five six years off the top of my head albin i think at this level had sort of eked out a really fine
01:41reputation for obviously the ladder underneath the premier league and taking these these players that can
01:47bridge the gap and get them there you know um gale obviously harvey barnes dean garner um i suppose you
01:53could take prayer as well couldn't you the car crew going back even further when they were obviously at
01:57the top table um these top players that okay that they're maybe not old enough at the at their parent
02:04clubs or whatever or haven't had the experience yet go and become ready at a club like albin now
02:10i in more recent seasons i suppose there's mikey johnson um and i know his first full season was
02:17was difficult as a permanent player wasn't it but yeah that that half season alone was pretty electric
02:23as his chant goes um so that was a one decent example of it but the you know last season it was
02:28poor wasn't it the loans were poor you know a few of them bought you know i think a racket off the top of
02:33my head bought some real sort of optimism excitement but that failed badly he was sent back at the start of
02:39jan or at the end of january sorry um adam armstrong you know bought in as the josh magic goals replacement
02:44wasn't it and and that as we all know everyone watching this knows flops spectacularly so the
02:51operating the loan market more successfully and i tend to find that is easy to do in the summer
02:57is a must really you know when you're you know as i've been under bilkel still are in terms of playing
03:03a financial balancing act in terms of staying psr um you know profit and sustainability compliance
03:10staying within the reaches they you know yes there will be transfer fees to spend you know i'm almost
03:15certain of that the club showed they're in reasonable health to do that in previous windows so so why not
03:20now you know under a new head coach i i expect that you know some big earners off the books as we know
03:25but they really need to you know they're still a club where they need to comply to things and get
03:29opportunities like loans right they really are i mean we're looking at you know you have no
03:34predictions and just thinking about the squad and positions you know the top of the pitch up front
03:40where the goals are scored they're the ones that cost the big books nine times out of ten you know
03:44they're the ones that that earn them the real money and if yeah can albin be smart with a loan there
03:50or do they use their do they use the the transfer kitty the finances that are available towards that i know
03:57a good few weeks ago now probably towards the start or middle of may i think there were
04:03there were very very rough links to cardiff striker weren't there salic the um the danish striker um as
04:09if albin haven't had enough danish strikers from cardiff um i think he only arrived in south wales in
04:14in january and had a pretty handy scoring record and looks like an interesting prospect so i don't have
04:20intel on on him and but i'd imagine he's a player that they've had watched and and has been scouted and you
04:26know obviously cardiff relegated so maybe see what what kind of fees going on there what kind of
04:31finances he would ask for the floor i think i think my reading of the window is the forward area
04:36certainly you know you've got josh matcha you got that will dk and that's it really you know both
04:41two players who've had injuries entering the final year of their deals so that area needs beefing
04:46absolutely yeah assuming dk and majesty i think i think the midfield is okay really you know you as
04:53it is you're looking at moat molumby uh dick heat eight isaac price you've got a quartet there um
04:59you know you could add a harry whitwell to it tamar banni these kind of number 10 players yes don't get
05:04me wrong look moat molumby certainly maybe moat you could see potential interest this this summer
05:10but i think the midfield stopped i think albin need work at the back and i think fullback positions i
05:15think furlong and styles are fine really you know good first team options but i think they need
05:20competition they need pushing i've been the alternatives um center half is is an area to
05:26be to be beefed for me you know you've got hegan you've got bartley obviously we know a joy is left
05:32and young caleb telly you can't in my opinion put too much stock or sort of you can't be expected to
05:39play 30 odd games yeah i'd i'd be surprised maybe he can buy that albin still need another body and to me
05:45johnny that only leaves the wide areas and that's a really interesting one obviously we've seen d and
05:49gone and go we've seen swift though uncertainty around jed wallace i don't know i've seen you
05:53write that um of late interest in him before obviously a big earner he's played not too often
06:00as he tom fellows will club sort of form you know make formal interest in him i'd imagine so after
06:07the season he's had to be honest and is this some of the scene as the one where albin you know for
06:13want of a better phrase cash in or you know sell him to for a really attractive fee for what it
06:19would be on the books from an academy player and and certainly if fellows isn't here by the start of
06:23next season obviously a caliber replacement needs to come in to replace him you know there's mikey
06:28johnson on the other side there's carlin grant on the other side um okay options for the left to
06:33be honest but yeah perhaps the other flank would need work certainly if there's movement externally when
06:38it comes to fellows
