Rep. Ralph Norman (R-SC) speaks to reporters on Capitol Hill.
Transcript
00:00Hi, my man.
00:00Hi, nice to see you.
00:02Good to be seen.
00:03So you were the one Republican yesterday to vote with the Democrats on this amendment on Epstein.
00:09Why?
00:10Transparency.
00:12Transparency to get it out.
00:14I think, you know, it was a, that was not a hard vote for me because, you know, whatever they have,
00:25and I think fan bonding is turning it over to somebody else now.
00:28But whatever they have, it needs to be transparent.
00:30It needs to come out.
00:31You don't think the Justice Department's been transparent?
00:33No, I wouldn't say that.
00:34I don't know what they have.
00:36I mean, this all just came to a head, and we'll see.
00:39But on all this, it should be transparent.
00:42The president says it's time to move on.
00:45That's fine.
00:46You know, that's fine.
00:47But I don't want to see him hurt in this.
00:50And transparency is just the best way to go.
00:52What do you mean you want to see him hurt?
00:53No, I mean, I think that the American people need to see what's in there.
00:58And that's not hard to understand across the board.
01:02Government's supposed to work for us.
01:04And it looks like they don't want to present everything, but maybe we hadn't.
01:09If there's nothing there, show the blank sheet.
01:11Should there be a special counsel investigation?
01:13Depends on what they end up with.
01:15I don't know how it's going to end up with what they finally, what Pam Bondley will finally decide.
01:19But there's been enough questions.
01:21Dan Bongino I respect.
01:23I respect his judgment.
01:24I respect what he's done for the country.
01:26And I don't know.
01:27Do you respect Bondi?
01:27Do you respect Bondi?
01:28Yeah, I respect Bondi.
01:29She's doing a good job.
01:30She's got a track record.
01:31But, you know, all that to say is if at the end of the day, all the records ought to be transparent for the American people.
01:38And the same thing with the Kennedy file, the killing of Kennedy, which they hid for a long time.
01:43But January 6th, a lot of the things that were erased ought to be brought to light.
01:47And that's not that hard for me.
01:50But you don't believe the memo they put out last week?
01:53What memo?
01:54The memo that they said that this was not a murderer and that there's no client list.
01:59I trust Cash Patel.
02:00All I know is from what we heard, the cameras weren't working the day he died.
02:05All that is just a lot of questions about him.
02:08And I think they ought to be answered.
02:10I trust Cash implicitly.
02:12I trust, you know, the administration.
02:14But, you know, it needs to be vetted out.
02:18How should the administration handle that?
02:21Well, it's up to them, I think, putting it down.
02:23I think it's up to them.
