Transcript
00:00and jay yes sir good morning yes um you know there's a there's a proposal out there and i
00:06know you're familiar with it that whoever it is who's polling the highest ahead of the election
00:12in november maybe september early october should be the one who goes on to face mongani in the
00:19general election governor cuomo now endorses the proposal told me a week ago that that was a
00:25non-starter for you you've had a few days to think about it has your opinion changed okay first you
00:31you have to really know cuomo i keep telling everyone i have a master's in public administration
00:37but a phd in andrew this proposal that was put out it was andrew's proposal he uses people to put
00:46things out that he really would like to come later and say okay i endorse what an independent person
00:52is doing he did this in albany he would create these panels in consulting groups and have them
00:58put proposals that he always wanted them to put out this is a typical andrew show i know this guy
01:07better than anyone i've studied him for years and so to think that some independent group came up with
01:13this idea no it was his idea he first plant these ideas into the universe and everyone says it then
01:21he comes and act like oh that's a good idea and i endorses it andrew is a double digit loser in the
01:29primary he lost by 13 points he had his opportunity he spent 25 million dollars to get his message out
01:40new york has heard it he did not sell it he didn't get out and campaign i said it over and over again you
01:47guys all heard me say he was coming out only on weekends he was not speaking to voters and now
01:54he's saying that we should trust him let me tell you what else he did while he was running for trump
01:59while he was contemplating running for office he would go around to black and brown leaders and say
02:05i will never run against eric adams i'm only running if eric is not going to be in the race i'm
02:11not going to run against them did he keep his word no he did not you can't trust the guy the guy would
02:19say and do anything to get elected new york city is not a consolation prize merely because he made the
02:27determination to step down as governor and then immediately after the primary he surrendered again
02:34the resiliency in the grit of a new yorker to run this complex city you can't give up during difficult
02:42times when he stepped down i stepped up no matter what i went through personally and no matter what
02:49the city went through i stayed here i was committed to serve out my time as mayor and deliver for the city
02:56hard times makes strong people and i have known hard times and that's why i'm able to
03:04endure all of these crises that this city had to face and look at where we are now crime is down
03:09jobs are up uh the city is thriving our children's voices will be heard on playground people are going
03:15to have 10 minutes walks to parks we have 83 percent rate for that now this city is moving in the right
03:21direction and andrew should for once in his life do what's best for this city and not what's best for him
03:28if you're so confident sir then why not just go with the proposal no and hit that and that's a great
03:33question he's saying that utilize uh polling to determine who should run against the democratic
03:40primary winner remember polls showed him up 40 points 40 points the day before the primary his
03:50spokesperson put out the results of a poll that said he was up 10 points he lost by 13 points so if we're
03:59going to use these uh methods of making this determination that they have already proven
04:05inaccurate why are we going to put the risk of new yorkies by someone who has not kept his word
04:12as he has a consistent record of not keeping his word why are we going to trust him now he's also stated
04:18after the election that let's wait to see what the rank choice numbers are going to be that's what he
04:24said the rank choice numbers came out now he has another idea so he will keep moving the goal
04:31post as much as possible this is just who he is he can't help himself don't get angry at him he just
04:37can't help himself trust me i served with him in in albany i watched what he did when he stepped down
04:45he just can't help himself and he you can't trust him at his word we do we do we do two more
04:52where have you been i haven't seen you in god knows how long i was on ditty
04:58seven weeks so that's done so i'm back thank you
