00:00Hello, brother.
00:01All right, you can hear me this way.
00:03So, the Reverend Al this morning called on former Governor Cuomo to drop out of the race,
00:09making the case that a one-on-one between you and Mr. Mamdani is the fairest version for New Yorkers.
00:16But a few minutes ago, the Cuomo campaign said New Yorkers know that Trump supports you
00:21and New Yorkers don't want socialism and that Cuomo is more of the middle.
00:25How would you respond to that?
00:26I don't have a response.
00:27I'm going to do what I do best, campaign with people.
00:31People who know me, as Laurie gave that narrative many years ago,
00:36people who know me, they know that I'm an independent voice.
00:39I respond to the people of this city.
00:42I've been clear on that.
00:43Everyone knows that.
00:44They know.
00:45I think it's almost an insult for anyone to state that anyone is going to control a person who has been independent for 40 years.
00:52My record speaks for itself.
00:54You know, New Yorkers know me.
00:55They know how authentic I am on fighting on behalf of New Yorkers.
00:59When the president is wrong, I'm going to stand up.
01:01When the president is right, like giving us a stop record, lifting a stop record order and a multi-billion dollar initiative,
01:09I'm going to go down and advocate.
01:11I'm going to advocate for New Yorkers like I did with President Biden.
01:15I'm going to do it under this administration.
01:17It's about New York.
01:18It's not about name calling.
01:19It's about producing for the city.
01:22And that's what I'm going to do.
01:23That's my history.
