00:00I just want to follow up on those questions.
00:06I'm sure you do.
00:08So are you saying that you don't believe it's a two-person race going into the general election?
00:13And then to be clear, you didn't thank him for dismissing your case, just for helping you out in general, highlighting that you were being unfairly targeted.
00:22100%. I thank him for, listen, I've said this over and over again.
00:27These last 15 months have been the most difficult months of my entire life.
00:31I watched a record and legacy that really young people were proud of.
00:37Young people would stop me on the street and tell them how proud they were when I was with 100 blacks in law enforcement who cared.
00:43How proud I was when I was a state senator, when I became the first person of color to be the president and the second person of color to be the mayor after 30 years absent, after David Dinkins.
00:54In 15 months, I've watched this media and others really dismantle my entire reputation.
01:03I watched them call me all sorts of names.
01:06I watched them say that I was corrupt, that I was a corrupt crook.
01:10I just watched all of that.
01:11And in spite of all of that, I got up every morning and I delivered for this city.
01:15And I'm hoping at the end of this narrative, people are going to see what resiliency looks like.
01:22Resiliency.
01:23And so I know others, when they're under pressure, they step down.
01:27I stepped up.
01:28I'm delivering for New York.
01:30So the best budget ever is not the only chapter in what we have done.
01:34We have done amazing things for the city.
01:36So my thank you was for his comments on the campaign trail that draw attention.
01:43Other people started asking the question, let's see what they did to Eric Adams.
01:47It was wrong.
01:48But I'm not going to sit back and say, woe is me.
01:50I'm going to say, why not me?
01:51And so I've always felt this was a two-person race.
01:55It was a race between those of us who are going to toil in the field.
01:59My record is clear.
02:00One person is running on no record.
02:04I'm running from a record.
02:06My record is clear.
02:07And the voters are going to have to look at it and decide what they want the city to look like.
02:11And I'm going to continue to put that message out in a loud and clear way.
02:15And I'm excited about this summer and the campaign season.
02:18This is what I do best, communicate with voters.
02:21I wouldn't even have to run if y'all would have covered what we've really done in this city.
02:25But you didn't.
02:26You didn't.
02:27You focused on everything but.
02:33And it's all right to write stories about our flaws.
02:36Because I'm perfectly imperfect.
02:38But it's wrong not to report that bond rates increased our bond.
02:41It's wrong not to report that we build more housing in individual years in the history of the city.
02:46It's wrong not to report that Broadway had his best 12 years in the history of the city.
02:52That we invested in foster care children, paying their college tuition.
02:55It's wrong to report that we have done more for those who are coming home from incarceration than any of the administration.
03:03When you don't report that also, you have the city to believe that this city is out of control when the city is in control.
03:10So now I've got to get out there and go over the media distortion of my record.
03:15And I've got to speak one-on-one to New Yorkers and tell them about my record.
03:18So they won't say, I didn't know.
03:20They're going to say, now we see what you've done.
03:23This is one of the most successful administrations in the history of the city.
03:27We break records every day on helping working class people.
03:29We break records every day.
