00:21and he who hopes in God's most gracious mercy,
00:32he shall acknowledge God is my protector.
00:41In life's dark journey, I shall fear no danger.
00:52I shall fear no danger.
00:57Kto się wopiekę poda Panu swemu,
01:06a całym sercem szczerze ufajemu,
01:15śmiele rzecz może, mam obrońcę Boga.
01:24Nie przyjdzie na mnie żadna straszna Twoga,
01:34żadna strasza Twoga.
01:39Ciebie on złowczyk obieże wyżuje
01:48i w zażyliwym powietrzu ratuje.
01:57W cieniu trzwy krzczydeł zachowa się wiecznie.
02:07Pod jego piury użyć bezpieczeń,
02:16użecz bez pieczeń.
02:21Good morning, my dear brothers and sisters.
02:39On this 14th Sunday in Ordinary Time,
02:42on this 14th Sunday,
02:45Jesus asks us to do two things.
02:48One is to trust completely in Him,
02:52and the second is to enjoy the abundance
02:56that He provides for us.
02:59Holy Mass begins today on page 63
03:01of your pew missile in the contemporary rite.
03:06And Holy Mass today is offered for each
03:08and every one of you for your families
03:11and for all those you love and care about.
03:15In the name of the Father,
03:16and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.
03:18Amen.
03:19Lord, bless us with the wisdom
03:20to praise you in spirit and in truth,
03:23so that by following your holy will
03:24we may gain eternal salvation.
03:28My dear brothers and sisters,
03:30let's now take a moment to pause
03:32to confess our sins to God,
03:34to ask Him for His forgiveness
03:37for any ways in which we may have
03:39broken relationship with Him or each other,
03:42for the ways in which we have failed to trust
03:45or enjoy the abundance that He provides.
03:48Please now take a moment to sit
03:50and complete your examination of conscience,
03:54confessing your sins privately to God
03:57and seeking His forgiveness.
03:59Have we called our sinfulness
04:18in seeking reconciliation with God and each other?
04:22Let us now recite the second form of the Confidure
04:25found on page 66.
04:27I confess to Almighty God
04:30in the presence of the Blessed Virgin Mary,
04:33all the saints, and you, my brothers and sisters,
04:36that I have sinned through my own fault
04:39in my thoughts, in my words,
04:42in what I have done or failed to do.
04:44I ask the Blessed Virgin Mary,
04:47all the saints, and you, my brothers and sisters,
04:49to pray for me to the Lord our God.
04:53As an act of penance for our sinfulness,
04:55let us offer up a Hail Mary at some time today
04:59for the good and benefit
05:01of one of our fellow campers
05:04here at the Coors encampment.
05:07May Almighty God have mercy on us,
05:09forgive us our sins,
05:10and bring us to everlasting life.
05:13May our Lord Jesus Christ absolve you
05:15with His authority vested in me.
05:17I absolve you from all your sins.
05:20In the name of the Father, and of the Son,
05:21and of the Holy Spirit.
05:23Amen.
05:24Amen.
05:26For the peace of Jerusalem, pray.
05:30May those who love you prosper.
05:32May peace be within your ramparts,
05:35prosperity within your towers.
05:38For family and friends, I say,
05:41may peace be yours.
05:43For the house of the Lord, our God, I pray,
05:46may blessings be yours.
05:49Glory be to the Father, and to the Son,
05:51and to the Holy Spirit,
05:53as it was in the beginning,
05:54is now, and ever shall be,
05:56world without end.
05:57Amen.
05:58Lord, have mercy.

06:05Lord, have mercy.
06:07Lord, have mercy.
06:08Let us now rise and give glory to God,
06:11proclaiming glory to God in the highest,
06:14and peace to his people on earth.
06:16Lord God, heavenly King,
06:18almighty God and Father,
06:20we worship you,
06:21we give you thanks,
06:23we praise you for your glory.

06:27only Son of the Father,
06:28Lord God, Lamb of God,
06:31you take away the sins of the world,
06:33have mercy on us.
06:35You are seated at the right hand of the Father,
06:37receive our prayer,
06:39for you alone are the Holy One,

06:45Jesus Christ,
06:46with the Holy Spirit,
06:48in the glory of God the Father.
06:50Amen.
06:52The Lord be with you.
06:55And also with you.
06:56Let us pray.
06:59Lord our God,
07:00you taught us that those who make peace
07:03are your children,
07:05pour your peace into our hearts,
07:07so that all conflict may disappear.
07:11We ask this in the name of your Son,
07:12Jesus Christ,
07:14who lives and reigns with you
07:15and the Holy Spirit,
07:17one God forever and ever.
07:20Let us now be seated
07:21and attentive to the Lord's Word.
07:23Amen.
07:23Amen.
07:24Amen.
07:24Amen.
07:24Amen.

07:28Amen.
07:28Amen.
07:28Amen.
07:28Amen.
07:37A reading from the book of the prophet Isaiah.
07:44Rejoice with Jerusalem and be glad because of her.
07:47All you who love her, exult, exult with her.
07:51All you who are mourning for her,
07:53oh, that you may suck fully of the milk of her comfort,
07:56that you may nurse with delight at her abundant breasts.
07:59For thus, says the Lord,
08:01lo, I will spread prosperity over her like a river,
08:05and the wealth of the nations like an overflowing torrent.
08:08As nurslings, you shall be carried in her arms and fondled in her lap.
08:13As a mother comforts your son, so will I comfort you.
08:16In Jerusalem you shall find your comfort.
08:19When you see this, your heart shall rejoice,
08:21and your bodies flourish like the grass.
08:25The Lord's power shall be known to his servants.
08:28This is the word of the Lord.
08:30Thanks be to God.
08:34Our response today is,
08:36shout joyfully to God.
08:40Our response today is,
08:43let all earth cry out to God with joy.
08:45Let all the earth cry out to God with joy.
08:49Shout joyfully to God, all of you on earth.
08:52Sing praise to the glory of his name.
08:54Proclame his glorious praise.
08:56Say to God, how tremendous are your deeds.
09:00Let all the earth cry out to God with joy.
09:04Let all on earth worship and sing praise to you.
09:07Sing praise to your name.
09:09Come and see the works of God,
09:11his tremendous deeds among men.
09:13Let all the earth cry out to God with joy.
09:16He has changed the sea into dry land.
09:20Through the river they passed on foot.
09:22Therefore, let us rejoice in him.
09:24He rules by his life forever.
09:26Let all the earth cry out to God with joy.
09:30Hear now in all you who fear God,
09:32while I declare what he has done for me.
09:35Blessed be God, who refused me not
09:37my prayer of his kindness.
09:39Let all the earth cry out to God with joy.
09:43A reading from the letter of Paul to the Galatians.
09:47May I never boast of anything but the cross
09:50of our Lord Jesus Christ.
09:52Through it, the world has been crucified to me
09:54and I to the world.
09:56It means nothing whether one is circumcised or not.
09:59All that matters is that one is created anew.
10:02Peace and mercy on all who follow this rule of life
10:05and on to Israel of God.
10:08Henceforth, let no man trouble me,
10:10for I bear the brand marks of Jesus in my body.
10:13Brothers, may the favor of our Lord Jesus Christ
10:16be with your spirit. Amen.
10:19This is the word of the Lord.
10:20Thanks be to God.
10:29Please rise.
10:33Alleluia, alleluia, alleluia.
10:36Alleluia, alleluia, alleluia.
10:39Say to him, peace be with you, my brother,
10:43and with your family,
10:44and with all who belong to you.
10:47Alleluia, alleluia, alleluia.
10:51May the Lord be my heart and my lips
10:52and my worthy proclaim this holy gospel
10:54through Jesus Christ our Lord.
10:55Amen.
10:59The Lord be with you.
11:02And also with you.
11:03A reading from the holy gospel
11:05according to St. Luke.
11:06Glory be to you, O Lord.
11:09The Lord appointed a further 72
11:13and sent them in pairs before him
11:16to every town and place he intended to visit.
11:19He said to them,
11:20The harvest is rich, but the workers are few.
11:25Therefore ask the harvest master
11:27to send workers to his harvest.
11:30Be on your way and remember,
11:32I am sending you as lambs in the midst of wolves.
11:35Do not carry a walking staff or a traveling bag.
11:40Wear no sandals and greet no one along the way.
11:44On entering any house, first say,
11:47Peace to this house.
11:48If there is a peaceable man there,
11:50your peace will rest on him.
11:52If not, it will come back to you.
11:55Stay in the one house,
11:57eating and drinking what they have,
11:59for the laborer is worth his wage.
12:02Do not move from house to house.
12:04Into whatever city you go,
12:06after they welcome you,
12:08eat what they set before you,
12:10and cure the sick there.
12:12Say to them,
12:13The reign of God is at hand.
12:15If the people of any town you enter
12:18do not welcome you,
12:21go into its streets and say,
12:23We shake the dust of this town from our feet
12:26as testimony against you,
12:28but know that the reign of God is near.
12:31I assure you on that day,
12:33the fate of Sodom will be less severe
12:35than that of such a town.
12:38The seventy-two returned in jubilation,
12:41saying,
12:41Master, even the demons are subject to us in your name.
12:45He said in reply,
12:47I watched Satan fall from the sky like lightning.
12:50See what I have done.
12:52I have given you power to tread on snakes and scorpions,
12:55and on all the forces of the enemy,
12:58and nothing shall ever injure you.
13:01Nonetheless,
13:02do not rejoice so much
13:04in the fact that the devils are subject to you,
13:07as that your names are inscribed in heaven.
13:11This is the gospel of the Lord.
13:16Praise be to you, O Lord Jesus Christ.
13:19Please be seated.
13:20Holy Spirit, come inspire us.
13:36Send your sevenfold gifts upon us.
13:42As we hear your word,
13:46Mo Salam,
13:48teach our hearts to know your wisdom.
13:54As we hear your word,
13:57Mo Salam,
14:00teach our hearts to know your wisdom.
14:05Come, Holy Spirit,
14:06and kindle the hearts of thy faithful
14:07at the fire of thy love.
14:08When you see this,
14:24your hearts shall rejoice
14:26and your bodies flourish like the grass.
14:30The Lord's power shall be known to his servants.
14:34In the name of the Father,
14:35and of the Son,
14:35and of the Holy Spirit.
14:37Amen.
14:37May the name of the Lord be praised
14:40now and forevermore.
14:42And yek ben jepofolona,
14:43jesus sistus.
14:46Imagine that you are in Galilee.
14:50You're in Galilee,
14:51and you're there with Jesus
14:53in that seaside area
14:54where Jesus had his sort of headquarters.
14:58He taught there.
15:00He healed there.
15:02And from there,
15:03he sent out his apostles,
15:06his disciples,
15:07the additional 72.
15:10That place in Galilee
15:11is very much like this place
15:13where we are here in Weymard
15:15at the Coors encampment.
15:17There were hills,
15:18there were rivers,
15:20there was a very beautiful countryside,
15:22there were lakes,
15:24and there was an abundance of life.
15:27We are there with Jesus,
15:28and he is sending us out.
15:30Out of his immediate protection
15:34and into the world.
15:39Even more than that,
15:41he is asking us to take nothing with us
15:44and to simply trust
15:47that God will supply all our needs.
15:51Now, can you imagine going on a journey,
15:54on a trip,
15:55and taking nothing with you?
15:57No walking stick,
15:59no money,
16:00no sandals,
16:01no snacks.
16:03Nothing.
16:04Nothing.
16:05Not even a change of clothes.
16:07No joey snacks.
16:13No cheese bits.
16:17No crackers.
16:19No juice.
16:20No water.
16:21No milk.
16:23I'm sure we've all brought
16:24plenty of snacks here with us.
16:27Chips and pretzels,
16:29I've brought a few myself.
16:31And all kinds of other stuff.
16:34We've got money for the snack shop,
16:36and we've got money to go horseback riding
16:40and do other fun stuff here.
16:44Jesus asked them to take nothing like that.
16:48Jesus asked them to head out
16:50without even making friends on the journey,
16:54but rather to make friends
16:56when they arrive at the place
16:58they were going to,
16:59just like we make friends here.
17:02We certainly do that
17:05over this week-long period of time.
17:09Jesus was asking
17:10incredible things of his followers.
17:15And the amazing thing was
17:16they did what he asked.
17:19They didn't cheat,
17:20even a little bit.
17:21They didn't take a few extra pennies
17:23just in case.
17:24They didn't have an extra pair of sandals
17:27slipped into their tunic.
17:28They did as he asked.
17:32And a little secret
17:33that's not really explicitly explained
17:36in today's gospel,
17:38they were successful.
17:41They were successful
17:43in doing what Jesus asked.
17:48For each of us,
17:50we find it very hard to trust,
17:54to expect things to be great.
17:57We always think that,
17:59well, when I turn the next corner,
18:01I'm just going to have another problem.
18:03When I do that next thing,
18:05I'm going to encounter
18:06some sort of struggle.
18:10Wouldn't it be great
18:11to turn every corner
18:12and expect something great,
18:16something wonderful to happen?
18:21Yet that's what Jesus is asking us to do.
18:25He's asking us to trust
18:27that as we journey,
18:29as we travel,
18:30as we do his will,
18:33things will be excellent.
18:35Things will be great.
18:37It's not that we won't have our struggles,
18:40but in our struggles,
18:41we will still find joyfulness.
18:46God will take care of us.
18:49He will see to our needs.
18:51And beyond that,
18:53he will do it in ways
18:54that are absolutely abundant.
18:57We all know what abundance means.
18:59We celebrate abundance every year
19:01on Thanksgiving, right?
19:03We have a huge feast.
19:05Or at our Vigilia,
19:07our Shenzonka,
19:08you have a huge feast.
19:09All the family comes over.
19:11Food galore on the table.
19:13That's why at Vigilia,
19:16we have 12 dishes, right?
19:1912 dishes that speak to the abundance
19:21of what God provides.
19:26I ask you to think of something
19:27that you really like.
19:30Think of something you like.
19:32Oh, it's that food
19:34or that particular drink that I like
19:37or some snacks I really like.
19:40Maybe it's friends.
19:42Maybe it's gaming.
19:43Whatever it is,
19:44something you really like.
19:46Maybe it's travel.
19:47Maybe it's camp.
19:50The things you share with friends
19:52and with family.
19:55Then I want you to imagine
19:56that thing 10,000 times greater.
20:0010,000 times bigger.
20:0310,000 times more wonderful.
20:06That is the abundance
20:09the prophet Isaiah
20:10was writing about.
20:12What he was talking about.
20:15That is the abundance
20:17that God promises
20:19and provides.
20:25With God,
20:27nothing is lacking.
20:29With God,
20:30no risk is without backup.
20:33When we take risks,
20:36we wonder,
20:36is somebody going to have my back?
20:38Is somebody going to be there for me?
20:40Anybody who's engaged
20:41in gymnastics knows it.
20:44When you practice gymnastics,
20:46you have a spotter.
20:48When you lift weights,
20:49you have a spotter.
20:51You have someone as backup.
20:55If we are doing God's will,
20:58he is there with us.
21:01He is our backup.
21:02And he has our back,
21:05always.
21:07We often doubt,
21:09for sure.
21:10We often wonder,
21:12will God take care of little old me?
21:14Am I worthy of God's care?
21:17Will God even notice me?
21:21He does.
21:22He does.
21:25Jesus is showing us
21:26in a very, very practical way
21:28that he will take care of us.
21:32The disciples experienced God's care
21:35on their journeys
21:36through the towns,
21:38the villages,
21:40the lakes,
21:40the seasides,
21:42the rivers,
21:43and the mountains of Galilee.
21:45They experienced God's care
21:47and they passed it on to us.
21:51It's essential
21:53that we take the time
21:55to trust in Jesus.
21:58That means a lot.
22:01That means a lot.
22:03It means doing what he asks
22:06without fear.
22:08Saying the kingdom of God
22:10is at hand.
22:12Celebrating what he has given us.
22:15Worshipping him
22:16without fear.
22:19It means stepping out
22:21of our comfort zone,
22:22for sure,
22:23a lot of times.
22:25It means simply saying yes
22:27to what God asks of us
22:30and knowing
22:31that he has our back
22:33and will take care of us.
22:35In the name of the Father,
22:37and of the Son,
22:37and of the Holy Spirit.
22:39Amen.
22:46Let us now rise
22:48and together
22:49profess our faith.
22:51I believe in one God,
22:54the Father,
22:54the Almighty,
22:56maker of heaven and earth,
22:57of all that is seen
22:58and unseen.
23:00I believe in one Lord,
23:01Jesus Christ,
23:03the only Son of God,
23:04eternally begotten
23:06of the Father,
23:07God from God,
23:08light from light,
23:09true God from true God,
23:11begotten, not made,
23:13of one being
23:13with the Father.
23:15Through him
23:15all things are made
23:16for us
23:17and for our salvation.
23:19He came down
23:20from heaven
23:21by the power
23:22of the Holy Spirit.
