00:09:22I also placed flags yesterday at Evergreen Memorial Park
00:09:27which was a wonderful thing to engage in

00:10:55So mark that on your calendars in advance of that date.
00:11:02Again, just one note, actually two notes
00:11:07about the week ahead.
00:11:08There will be no holy mass
00:11:10and there will be no devotions on Wednesday.
00:11:13I have another appointment.

00:11:55The symbols of the resurrection go away on Thursday
00:11:59because Jesus ascends into heaven.
00:12:02So the symbols of the resurrection, the cross,
00:12:06the statue of Jesus and the Paschal candle
00:12:09are returned to their normal place of storage
00:12:13after the gospel on Ascension Thursday.

00:12:26and you can help us move those symbols of the resurrection
00:12:29and put them away after the gospel.
00:12:31So, and again, remember June is sacred vocations month,

00:22:32Let's now be seated and attentive to the Lord's word.
00:22:42Amen.
00:23:00Our first reading is a reading from the Acts of the Apostles.
00:23:06Some who had come down from Judea were instructing the brothers,
00:23:11unless you are circumcised according to the Mosaic practice, you cannot be saved.
00:23:17Because there arose no little dissension and debate by Paul and Barnabas with them,
00:23:23it was decided that Paul, Barnabas, and some of the others should go up to Jerusalem to the apostles and elders about this question.
00:23:32The apostles and elders, in agreement with the whole church,
00:23:36decided to choose representatives and to send them to Antioch with Paul and Barnabas.
00:23:43The ones chosen were Judas, who was called Barsabbas, and Silas, the leader among the brothers.
00:23:51This is the letter delivered by them.
00:23:55The apostles and the elders, your brothers, to the brothers in Antioch, Syria, and Seychelles of Gentile origin, greetings.
00:24:07Since we have heard that some of our number, who went out without any mandate from us,
00:24:12have upset you with their teachings and disturbed your peace of mind,
00:24:17we have, with one accord, decided to choose representatives and to send them to you,
00:24:24along with our beloved Barnabas and Paul, who have dedicated their lives to the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
00:24:32So we are sending Judas and Silas, who will also convey the same message by word of mouth.
00:24:40It is the decision of the Holy Spirit and of us not to place on you any burden beyond these necessities,
00:24:48namely, to abstain from meat sacrificed to idols, from blood, from meats of strangled animals, and from unlawful marriage.
00:24:59If you keep free of these, you will be doing what is right. Farewell.

00:26:06The angel took me in spirit to a great high mountain,
00:26:10and showed me the holy city coming down out of heaven from God.
00:26:15It gleamed with the splendor of God.
00:26:18Its radiance was like that of a precious stone, like jasper, clear as crystal.
00:26:26It had a massive high wall with twelve gates where twelve angels were stationed,
00:26:32and on which names were inscribed.
00:26:35The names of the twelve tribes of the Israelites.
00:26:39There were three gates facing east, three north, three south, and three west.
00:26:46The wall of the city had twelve courses of stones as its foundation,
00:26:51on which were inscribed the twelve names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.
00:26:56I saw no temple in the city,
00:27:00for its temple is the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb.
00:27:05The city had no need of sun or moon to shine on it,
00:27:10for the glory of God gave it light, and its lamp was the Lamb.
00:27:14The word of the Lord.
00:27:16Thanks be to God.

00:27:37Please rise.
00:27:41Alleluia. Alleluia. Alleluia.
00:27:51Alleluia. Alleluia. Alleluia.
00:28:01The peace of God that surpasses all understanding
00:28:06will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
00:28:11Alleluia. Alleluia. Alleluia.
00:28:42May the Lord be in my heart and on my lips,
00:28:45and may my word be proclaimed as holy gospel through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
00:28:51The Lord be with you.
00:28:53And also with you.
00:28:55A reading from the holy gospel according to St. John.
00:28:58Glory be to you, O Lord.
00:29:00Jesus said to his disciples,
00:29:03Whoever loves me will keep my word,
00:29:07and my Father will love him,
00:29:09and we will come to him and make our dwelling with him.
00:29:13Whoever does not love me does not keep my words.
00:29:17Yet the word you hear is not mine,
00:29:20but that of the Father who sent me.
00:29:23I have told you this while I am with you.
00:29:26The Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name,
00:29:30will teach you everything,
00:29:32and remind you of all that I told you.
00:29:35Peace I leave with you.
00:29:37My peace I give you.
00:29:40Not as the world gives do I give it to you.
00:29:43Do not let your hearts be troubled or afraid.
00:29:47You heard me tell you, I am going away and I will come back to you.
00:29:51If you love me, you would rejoice that I am going to the Father,
00:29:56for the Father is greater than I.
00:29:58And now I have told you this before it happens,
00:30:02so that when it happens, you may believe.
00:30:05This is the Gospel of the Lord.
00:30:08Praise be to you, O Lord Jesus Christ.
00:30:27Holy Spirit, come, we ask you.
00:30:32Saving grace we need from you.
00:30:37Through this heavenly revelation,
00:30:42may our stubborn will be moved.
00:30:47May we fully comprehend,
00:30:51guided by your constant hand.
00:30:56Standing on your words of promise,
00:31:01we confirm and praise your goodness.
00:31:07Holy Spirit, come, let's have faith with the fire of thy love.
00:31:19Peace I leave with you.
00:31:22My peace I give you.
00:31:25Not as the world gives do I give it to you.
00:31:29Do not let your hearts be troubled or afraid.
00:31:33In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
00:31:37Christ is risen. Alleluia.
00:31:41He is risen indeed. Alleluia.
00:31:44Christus mortifisto. Pravdivis mortifisto. Alleluia.
00:31:50Last week we discussed Jesus' ongoing revelation
00:31:55of who his Father is
00:31:58as he taught his disciples at the Last Supper
00:32:02as they had shared the meal.
00:32:04And John really focuses on Jesus' teaching during this time.
00:32:10Jesus continues to talk about the character of the Father,
00:32:14his very nature, who is the Father,
00:32:18and the interrelationship of the Father, the Son, and the Spirit.
00:32:24In a few short weeks, we are going to be celebrating
00:32:28those mysteries which Jesus revealed at the Last Supper.
00:32:33We're going to celebrate the solemnity of the Holy Trinity,
00:32:37Trinity Sunday,
00:32:39focusing on the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
00:32:43We're going to celebrate Sunday in the octave of Corpus Christi,
00:32:47giving thanks to our Lord for his gift of his body and blood.
00:32:52And of course, the solemnity of God's Word,
00:32:56which will follow the week thereafter,
00:32:58the very Word that we live in, that we study,
00:33:03and that gives us hope, peace, and love.
00:33:08Today, Jesus is discussing the fruit of the Father's love.
00:33:13We learned last week that the Father's very nature is love,
00:33:17and the fruit of that love comes to us as peace.
00:33:22Peace.
00:33:24We, who are the object of the Father's love,
00:33:28are given the gift of peace.
00:33:30It is a special peace.
00:33:32It is a peace that is far greater than just not being annoyed
00:33:36or not having conflicts, right?
00:33:39That's kind of a worldly peace.
00:33:42It was kind of funny, I was at home last night,
00:33:45and I said to Ray, it was so quiet.
00:33:48It was just so quiet.
00:33:50I said, oh, this is what peace is like.
00:33:54It was so nice.
00:33:57I was just so at ease, right?
00:34:00But God's peace is better than that.
00:34:03It's better than that.
00:34:05Jesus' offer of peace is given before his arrest,
00:34:10before his crucifixion, and his death.
00:34:13He is speaking these words at the Last Supper.
00:34:16Facing this, Jesus tells his apostles what?
00:34:20He tells them, be untroubled and be unafraid.
00:34:26Do not fear, do not be troubled.
00:34:30He's emphasizing that point.
00:34:32It's a big exclamation point.
00:34:34Do not be troubled or afraid.
00:34:37Now, we know in retrospect what happened.
00:34:40Well, Jesus was arrested in the garden,
00:34:42and were the disciples like, I am untroubled and unafraid?
00:34:46No, absolutely not.
00:34:47They ran away.
00:34:49Almost all of them, except for John, ran away.
00:34:53And they went back to the upper room, and what did they do?
00:34:56They locked the door.
00:34:58And they stayed in there, afraid.
00:35:03They were afraid.
00:35:05Ten minutes ago, Jesus was telling them,
00:35:07be untroubled and unafraid.
00:35:09And they're in the room, shaking in fear.
00:35:16Jesus literally had to break through the door of that upper
00:35:21room in his resurrected body.
00:35:24Now, he didn't break through that door with violence.
00:35:27He broke through that door by passing right through it.
00:35:30He passed through the locked door in his glorified body
00:35:35to show his disciples that what he taught them was true.
00:35:38Do not be troubled.
00:35:40Do not be afraid.
00:35:41Do not be perturbed.
00:35:44That's a big lesson.
00:35:46That's a big lesson.
00:35:50Finally, when they received the gift of the Holy Spirit
00:35:54on Pentecost, what happened?
00:35:57They were untroubled and unafraid.
00:36:00They went right out on the balcony and into the streets,
00:36:03and they started preaching, telling everybody about Jesus
00:36:07without fear.
00:36:10The apostles had something so tremendous.
00:36:13They had something so wonderful.
00:36:15They had Jesus's presence.
00:36:16They had Jesus's peace.
00:36:18Everything was great.
00:36:21Everything was great.
00:36:24They had a peace and an assurance that flowed from love.
00:36:30And what is equally excellent is that we have the same thing,
00:36:36the exact same thing, the same peace, the same love,
00:36:39the same assurance, and the same call to be unafraid.
00:36:46In our offertory or secret prayer,
00:36:49which we'll hear in a few minutes,
00:36:51we'll hear these words.
00:36:52Grant that we may be ready to receive the peace
00:36:57and the love of your risen Son.
00:37:02Let's be ready to receive it, to take it up, to take it up.
00:37:09How important it is that we do exactly that,
00:37:14that we continually revive our trust
00:37:17in Jesus's promise of peace,
00:37:20and that we live lives that are unperturbed,
00:37:24unafraid, and untroubled.
00:37:30Take any trouble you have.
00:37:32You know, I was in the sacristy, and I said,
00:37:35hey, maybe what I should do is look at my phone,
00:37:38because the weather forecast on there is pretty good,
00:37:41and I should say, let's look at the forecast for tomorrow.
00:37:45And I could come out here, and I could say,
00:37:46well, Memorial Day, we'll definitely have the Mass
00:37:48at the cemetery on Memorial Day,
00:37:50because the weather looks good.
00:37:53Or I could say, oh, the weather looks like it's going to rain,
00:37:55so let's meet here.
00:37:58If I was afraid, I would do that.
00:38:01I would check the local data.
00:38:05But I prefer not to be afraid.
00:38:07What happens will happen.
00:38:08I can't control it, can't pull the strings of the weather.
00:38:12But I can be unafraid and not have to worry about it.
00:38:16That's a small thing.
00:38:17That's a really small thing.
00:38:20But I'm sure there's much bigger things
00:38:22in each and every one of our lives where we worry,
00:38:26and we really don't have to.
00:38:28We have Jesus' assurance of peace and love.
00:38:34It's incumbent on us to live in trust.
00:38:37And I want you to remember something.
00:38:39Most of you have been here for quite a long time.
00:38:41Not everyone, but most have been here
00:38:43for quite a number of years.
00:38:46Fourteen years ago.
00:38:48It's hard to think.
00:38:49It's going to be 15 in December.
00:38:51Fourteen years ago, where were we?
00:38:56We were in a bad place.
00:38:59Things weren't good.
00:39:00They weren't looking so hot.
00:39:03We got together at our annual meeting,
00:39:05and I tell everyone about that.
00:39:07I tell the seminarians.
00:39:08I tell other priests.
00:39:09I tell people at church.
00:39:11I said, look at what these people,
00:39:13at holy name of Jesus, parish, and Schenectady did.
00:39:16They got together at their annual meeting,
00:39:18and they said, I'm going to trust in God's peace and love.
00:39:24I'm not going to be afraid.
00:39:26I'm not going to be perturbed.
00:39:28And I'm not going to be troubled.
00:39:31You trusted.
00:39:33Each and every one of you trusted in God.
00:39:39And we moved forward without worrying.
00:39:42Without the hand wringing and the,
00:39:44oh, what's going to happen?
00:39:46I don't know what's going to happen.
00:39:48We didn't do that.
00:39:51We just kept believing.
00:39:53There's a song like that.
00:39:54Go on believing, right?
00:39:57Go on believing.
00:39:59I could point to many parishes who do the same.
00:40:02They're wonderful parishes.
00:40:04People there, they don't worry about stuff.
00:40:06They don't worry about, oh, did we make enough pierogi?
00:40:09Did we clean the churd?
00:40:11Did we do this?
00:40:12Did we do that?
00:40:13Is there enough money coming?
00:40:15All those kind of things.
00:40:16They don't worry about it.
00:40:18Don't worry.
00:40:19Don't worry.
00:40:22Unfortunately, there's a few who come to church on Sunday.
00:40:26They quickly close the door.
00:40:29They sit in there and they are afraid.
00:40:33Afraid of tomorrow.
00:40:37Trepidation and fear.
00:40:39It's not the way to go.
00:40:41And we here don't fear.
00:40:45We trust.
00:40:47To trust and have peace is Jesus' command.
00:40:51He says, trust and have peace.
00:40:55Then it just becomes our choice.
00:40:57Will I trust and will I have peace?
00:41:00Let's live that way as we do His work in trust and peace.
00:41:07In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.
00:41:10Amen.
00:41:21Let us now rise and together profess our faith.
00:41:27I believe in one God, the Father, the Almighty,
00:41:31maker of heaven and earth, of all that is seen and unseen.
00:41:35I believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the only Son of God,
00:41:40eternally begotten of the Father, God from God,
00:41:44light from light, true God from true God,
00:41:47begotten, not made, of one being with the Father.
00:41:51Through Him all things are made.
00:41:53For us and for our salvation He came down from heaven.
00:41:57By the power of the Holy Spirit He was born of the Virgin Mary
00:42:02and became man.
00:42:06For our sake He was crucified under Pontius Pilate.
00:42:10He suffered death and was buried.
00:42:13On the third day He rose again in fulfillment of the Scriptures.
00:42:17He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
00:42:22He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead,
00:42:26and His kingdom will have no end.
00:42:28I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord and giver of life,
00:42:33who proceeds from the Father with the Father and the Son.
00:42:37He is worshipped and glorified.
00:42:39He has spoken through the prophets.
00:42:41I believe in one holy Catholic and apostolic church.
00:42:45I acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins.
00:42:49I look for the resurrection of the dead
00:42:52and the life of the world to come.
00:42:54Amen.
00:42:57The Lord be with you.
00:42:59And also with you.
00:43:01In, with, and through the risen Christ,
00:43:03we can speak to His and our Father.
00:43:07Our response will be, Lord, hear our prayer.
00:43:10For our Prime Bishop and Bishop Anthony,
00:43:12for his brother bishops, priests, deacons,
00:43:15and all who minister in the church,
00:43:17that they model Christ's love and peace in all they do,
00:43:21we pray to the Lord.
00:43:23Lord, hear our prayer.
00:43:25For ourselves during this Easter season,
00:43:28that we continually show forth Jesus' love and peace,
00:43:32we pray to the Lord.
00:43:34Lord, hear our prayer.
00:43:36For our evangelistic efforts
00:43:38that we may, by our love and peace-sharing,
00:43:41invite people to know, love, and serve the Lord,
00:43:44we pray to the Lord.
00:43:46Lord, hear our prayer.
00:43:48That our country achieve peace when justice is restored,
00:43:52when bigotry and racism are ended,
00:43:55and when love prevails, we pray to the Lord.
00:43:59Lord, hear our prayer.
00:44:01For all youth, that they grow in the love and peace Jesus offers,
00:44:06we pray to the Lord.
00:44:08Lord, hear our prayer.
00:44:10For all who must travel, that they be protected from every harm,
00:44:14we pray to the Lord.
00:44:16Lord, hear our prayer.
00:44:18May the Lord, who has revealed His saving power to the nations,
00:44:22fill more men with the grace to follow Jesus' own example of love,
00:44:27giving their lives in service as priests and deacons within our church,
00:44:32we pray to the Lord.
00:44:34Lord, hear our prayer.
00:44:36For the city of Schenectady and the Mount Pleasant neighborhood,
00:44:40and for all of our local communities and neighborhoods,
00:44:43that the mantle of God's protection envelop them
00:44:46and drive out the evils of drugs, violence, and prejudice,
00:44:50we pray to the Lord.
00:44:52Lord, hear our prayer.
00:44:54For all service members killed in action,
00:44:57whom we remember with gratitude this weekend,
00:45:00that their sacrifice may show forth in our willingness
00:45:03to go the extra mile for love and peace,
00:45:06we pray to the Lord.
00:45:08Lord, hear our prayer.
00:45:10For our sister Marianne, for whom this Holy Mass is offered,
00:45:14that she may enter into that place which Christ has prepared for her,
00:45:19we pray to the Lord.
00:45:21Lord, hear our prayer.
00:45:23And for our own personal needs and intentions,
00:45:25mentioned in the silence of our hearts.
00:45:34Amen.
00:45:47We pray to the Lord.
00:45:49Lord, hear our prayer.
00:45:51Have pity on us and bless us, O God, our Father.
00:45:55Let your face shine upon us,
00:45:57and make known your way upon the earth,
00:46:00through Christ our Lord.
00:46:02Amen.
00:46:03Please be seated.
00:46:12Greet one another with a loving kiss.
00:46:15Peace to all of you who are in Christ.
00:46:18Alleluia.
00:46:33As we look at all creation together,
00:46:35we have this bread to offer.
00:46:36The truth has been, and it has been made.
00:46:38It will come for us.
00:46:39The bread of life.
00:46:52Let me stir this wine.
00:46:57The water.
00:46:58May it come to share in the divinity of Christ.
00:47:02Who humbled himself to share in our humanity.
00:47:15As we look at all creation together,
00:47:17we have this wine to offer for the divine work of human hands
00:47:20to become our spiritual drink.
00:47:22Amen.
00:47:23We pray to the Lord.
00:47:25Lord, hear our prayer.
00:47:27Have pity on us and bless us, O God, our Father.
00:47:30Let your face shine upon us,
00:47:32and make known your way upon the earth,
00:47:34through Christ our Lord.
00:47:35Amen.
00:47:36Please be seated.
00:47:37Let me stir this wine.
00:47:38The water.
00:47:39May it come to share in the divinity of Christ.
00:47:41Who humbled himself to share in our humanity.
00:47:44Let me stir this wine.
00:47:46Let me stir this wine.
00:47:48Let me stir this wine.
00:47:50See this, O Most Holy Trinity, as we make a memory of the Passion of Resurrection as
00:48:01sent to you by our Lord Jesus Christ, in honor of the Blessed Virgin Mary and all the saints,
00:48:05that they may as memory land on earth and intercede for us in heaven.
00:48:10Pray, my brothers and sisters, that our sacrifice may be acceptable to God, the Almighty Father.
00:48:15And Lord, accept this sacrifice at your hands, for the praise and glory of your Son,
00:48:21who died for our good and for the good of all his holy Church. Amen.
00:48:30Almighty Father, receive this bread and wine we set before you.
00:48:36Grant that we may be ready to receive the peace and love of your risen Son.
00:48:44We ask this through the same Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns with you in the Holy Spirit,
00:48:50one God, forever and ever. Amen.
00:48:59The Lord be with you. And also with you.
00:49:07Lift up your hearts. Let us give thanks to the Lord our God.
00:49:27Father, all-powerful and ever-living God, we do well always and everywhere to give you thanks.
00:49:35Through your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord, especially at this time when he became our paschal sacrifice,
00:49:47he is the true Lamb who took away the sins of the world.
00:49:53Through his death he conquered death for us, and by his wondrous resurrection he restored eternal life to us.
00:50:04Therefore, with the angels and archangels, with all the saints in the entire Church,
00:50:11we lift our hymn of praise to your glory, repeating unceasingly.
00:50:19Holy, holy, holy, Lord God of hosts, heavens and the earth are full of the majesty of thy glory.
00:50:36Hosanna in the highest. Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord. Hosanna in the highest.
00:50:55Our Eucharistic prayer is found on page 77, the traditional canon.
00:51:00As a sign of our Easter joy, we remain standing throughout the canon, genuflecting at the elevations.
00:51:13Father, through Jesus Christ your Son, we ask you to accept and bless these gifts we offer you in sacrifice.
00:51:19We offer them for your holy Catholic Church, asking you to defend and guide it throughout the world.
00:51:24We offer them for Anthony, our Prime Bishop and Bishop, and for all bishops, priests, deacons, and other ministers
00:51:30who profess the true faith which comes to us from the Apostles.
00:51:34Remember your people, Lord, especially our brothers and sisters for whom we now pray,
00:51:38especially for the Wangelinski family, and for all of our parishioners, all of our members,
00:51:43and all those who find their home of faith here with us.
00:51:46Remember all of us who are present here who truly believe and are devoted to you.
00:51:51We offer this sacrifice of praise to you, our living, eternal, and true God,
00:51:54for ourselves and all those we love, for the redemption of our souls, with hope for our salvation.
00:51:59Together with the whole Church, we honor the Virgin Mary, the Mother of our Lord Jesus Christ.
00:52:04We also honor the Apostles and Martyrs, as well as all those who have lived and died,
00:52:08confessing your name, and remembering them we desire to follow their example, and so gain your love and help.
00:52:14Father, accept this offering from your whole family.
00:52:17Grant us your peace in this life.
00:52:19Preserve us from spiritual damnation, and count us among your chosen people.
00:52:30Bless, accept, and approve this offering we now make to you, and let it be pleasing to you.
00:52:35Fill it with the power of your Holy Spirit, and let it become for us the body and the blood of your Son,
00:52:42our Lord Jesus Christ.
00:52:44The day before he suffered and died, our Lord desired to make his love known to his disciples,
00:52:51and all who would follow him.
00:52:53He therefore instituted these sacred mysteries, by which he joined himself with them spiritually and bodily,
00:53:00in his whole being, and abides with us forever.
00:53:05At that moment, so sacred for all of humanity, Jesus took bread into his holy hands,
00:53:12and looking up to heaven, to you his almighty Father, he gave you thanks.
00:53:18He blessed the bread, broke it, and gave it to his disciples, saying,
00:53:23Take this, all of you, and eat it, for this is my body, which is given for you.
00:53:42When supper had ended, he took the cup, in the same way he gave you thanks,
00:53:52blessed it, and gave it to his disciples, saying,
00:53:56Take this, all of you, and drink from it, for this is the cup of my blood,
00:54:02the blood of the new and everlasting covenant, which shall be shed for you and for many for the forgiveness of sins.
00:54:10As often as you do this, do it in remembrance of me.
00:54:29Father, in celebration of the memory of Jesus Christ your Son,
00:54:33we your people recall his passion, resurrection from the dead, and ascension into glory,
00:54:38for the many gifts you have given us, we offer you this pure, holy, and spotless offering,
00:54:43the holy bread of life, and the holy cup of eternal salvation.
00:54:48Look favorably on these offerings, and accept them as you once accepted the gifts of your servant Abel,
00:54:54the sacrifice of our Father, in faith Abraham, and the bread and wine offered by your priest Melchizedek.
00:55:01In humility we ask, Father, that these offerings be carried by your angel to your high altar in heaven,
00:55:07so that we who receive the sacred body and blood of your Son from this altar may be filled with your grace and blessing.
00:55:16Remember, Lord, our brothers and sisters who have died and have gone before us marked with the sign of faith,
00:55:22and especially today remember our sister Marianne.
00:55:30May these and all who rest in Christ find happiness, light, and peace,
00:55:35and we who trust in your love also ask to be included in the fellowship of your holy apostles, martyrs, and saints,
00:55:41who offered their lives to you.
00:55:43They were filled with your justice and mercy, because they lived in accord with the teachings of Jesus,
00:55:49gained eternal joy.
00:55:51Count us among them, Father, not because of what we truly deserve, but because you are willing to forgive us.
00:55:58We ask this in the name of your Son, Jesus Christ, by whom you give us all these gifts.
00:56:03You fill them with life and goodness, you bless them and make them holy.
00:56:10Through him, with him, and in him, in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
00:56:16all honor and glory are yours, Almighty Father, forever and ever.
00:56:24Amen.
00:56:31Let us now pray with confidence to the Father in the words our Savior gave us.
00:56:39Our Father, who art in Heaven,
00:56:45hallowed be thy name.
00:56:49Thy kingdom come,
00:56:53thy will be done
00:56:57on earth as it is in Heaven.
00:57:04Give us this day our daily bread
00:57:11and forgive us our trespasses
00:57:16as we forgive those who trespass against us
00:57:23and lead us not into temptation,
00:57:30but deliver us from evil.
00:57:37Deliver us, Lord, from every evil and grant us peace in our day.
00:57:42In your mercy keep us free from sin
00:57:45and protect us from all anxiety
00:57:49as we wait in joyful hope for the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ.
00:57:55For the kingdom, the power, and the glory are yours, now and forever.
00:58:04Amen.
00:58:06The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not a participation in the blood of Christ?
00:58:12The bread which we break, is it not a participation in the body of Christ?
00:58:19Because there is one bread, we who are many are one body, for we all partake of the one bread.
00:58:26May the union of divinity and humanity in Jesus Christ bring us sanctification and eternal life. Amen.
00:58:34Lord Jesus Christ, you said to your apostles,
00:58:37I leave you peace, my peace I give you.
00:58:39Do not look at our sins, but on the faith of your church
00:58:42and grant us the peace and unity of your kingdom,
00:58:45where you live forever and ever. Amen.
00:58:51The peace of the Lord be with you always.
00:58:54And also with you.
00:58:56Let us offer each other a sign of Christ's peace.
