00:06:20welcome just a couple quick notes before we begin Holy Mass and our Easter
00:06:27Asperges please keep inviting people to join us to meet the Lord with us in
00:06:32worship and fellowship the men's retreat information is on the back table men it's
00:06:39a great opportunity this is designed for you and it is very much worthwhile
00:06:45to take part in remember there is no cost to you for this the parish takes
00:06:51care of it and perhaps the diocese as well so you know definitely something to
00:06:57take advantage of I know Paul and myself are going so if you guess if you need a
00:07:02ride we would be happy to accommodate you as well it's always good to have
00:07:07company when you're driving Father's Day greetings there are forms also by
00:07:13the back table if you wish to honor your dad or godfather grandfather some
00:07:19special man in your life whether they be living or deceased please take one of
00:07:25those forms you can fill it out and send it into God's field and that wish or that
00:07:30thought will be published in the next issue or the next two issues of God's
00:07:36field it's a wonderful way to honor those men in your life and also at the
00:07:42donation that you make for your ad will be will go directly to the clergy
00:07:49pension fund which is a great cause to support please continue to pray for
00:07:55vocations as I mentioned it is working the last couple weeks for men step
00:08:01forward and they're like hey I'm interested in the vocation and the
00:08:05priesthood of the Polish National Catholic Church and I'm like good for
00:08:08you let's talk but that's because of prayer that does that stuff just doesn't
00:08:14happen right that's because of our prayer and the inspiration of the Holy
00:08:18Spirit in whom we trust please continue your contributions for the seminary fund
00:08:25there is a basket still on the back table for that and any amount helps you
00:08:31can also write a check if you do write a check write it payable to the parish
00:08:35holy name of Jesus and then we will transfer that money and do all that
00:08:40mechanic stuff thank you for all who turned out in support of the van
00:08:46glinski family for Elizabeth's funeral and and her internment it was a
00:08:53beautiful occasion I think the family was slightly overwhelmed by the large
00:08:58turnout that occurred and that shows the generosity and kindness of both
00:09:04their friends and our parish family so thank you for that there will be a
00:09:10series of holy masses next week's holy mass will be offered for Marianne that's
00:09:17the 25th and then we'll start we have a bunch of masses for Elizabeth's memory
00:09:23as well so please take note of those as they come up it is May we have our May
00:09:30devotions on Wednesday at 3 p.m. please come out and join us as we honor our
00:09:35Blessed Mother during this month of May and seek her continued intercession on
00:09:40behalf of our parish Memorial Day believe it or not is right around the
00:09:46corner so we'll be this coming tomorrow Monday I'll be offering the
00:09:52benediction over at the small Veterans Park that's at the corner of Chrysler
00:09:57and Van Velsen it's got behind the CVS there it's a beautiful monument to all
00:10:03of those men and women from the Mount Pleasant neighborhood who gave their
00:10:08lives in service to our country so I'll be offering the benediction there and
00:10:13then Monday the 26th we will have our traditional holy mass at Holy Name of
00:10:19Jesus Cemetery at 10 a.m. if there is inclement weather we will meet here at
00:10:26church and have holy mass here hopefully the weather will be nice you know it's
00:10:30the weirdest thing I would say pretty much almost every year when I wake up in
00:10:35the morning on Memorial Day it's kind of overcast a little bit gray and there's
00:10:39clouds in the sky and then by the time we get to holy mass the skies open up
00:10:43the Sun comes out so please remember if you do come to the cemetery for the
00:10:49holy mass wear sunscreen and bring Sun protection and a seat for yourself for
00:10:55that so that you can be comfortable and not cook in the in the Sun the week
00:11:02ahead there's a lot going on food pantry tomorrow commemoration of st. Bernardine
00:11:08of Siena which is on Tuesday st. Bernardine is the patron saint of
00:11:13marketing and advertising something we do a lot of here at the parish so we
00:11:19seek his intercession that what we put out there is effective in drawing people
00:11:24to meet the Lord on Friday is the commemoration of blessed Jerome
00:11:29Savonarola priest and martyr he was martyred for his efforts at reform in
00:11:35the Catholic Church so we honor him he is also the patron of our seminary so if
00:11:42you can please turn out for holy mass on Friday at noon to honor blessed Jerome
00:11:48Savonarola next Sunday regular holy mass schedule Memorial Day the next day
00:11:54after that there will be no food pantry on Memorial Day we don't do food pantry
00:11:58on national holidays and then so on and so forth and also remember on Wednesday
00:12:03Marian devotions at 3 p.m. I think that's all did I forget anything probably but
00:12:11Oh um newsletters I finally got the main newsletter done it's been there's been a
00:12:16lot going on I understand I was I was a bit remiss and getting that done earlier
00:12:21in the month but it is done most of you have them but make sure you take your
00:12:25copy your names are on them so take the copy that is provided for you and so
00:12:33that you can stay apprised of what's going on especially the things that are
00:12:36coming up through the summer months with that let us now rise for our Easter

00:14:38in His name, He is with them.
00:14:41Through this holy Eucharist, we celebrate.

00:22:42Amen.
00:22:57So our first reading this morning is from the Acts of the Apostles.
00:23:00After Paul and Barnabas had proclaimed the good news to that city and made a considerable
00:23:09number of disciples, they returned to Lystra and to Iconium and to Antioch.
00:23:17They strengthened the spirits of the disciples and exhorted them to persevere in the faith,
00:23:23saying, It is necessary for us to undergo many hardships to enter the kingdom of God.
00:23:31They appointed elders for them in each church, and with praying and fasting, commended them
00:23:37to the Lord in whom they had put their faith.
00:23:42Then they traveled through Pisidia and reached Pamphylia.
00:23:47After proclaiming the word at Perga, they went down to Aetolia.
00:23:51From there they sailed to Antioch, where they had been commended to the grace of God
00:23:57for the work they had now accomplished.
00:24:00And when they arrived, they called the church together and reported what God had done with
00:24:05them and how he had opened the door of faith to the Gentiles.
00:24:11This is the word of the Lord.
00:24:16Our response this morning, I will praise your name forever, my King and my God.
00:24:28The Lord is gracious and merciful, slow to anger and of great kindness.
00:24:35The Lord is good to all and compassionate toward all his works.
00:24:40I will praise your name forever, my King and my God.
00:24:46Let all your works give you thanks, O Lord, and let your faithful ones bless you.
00:24:53Let them discourse of the glory of your kingdom and speak of your might.
00:24:59I will praise your name forever, my King and my God.
00:25:05Let them make known your might to the children of Adam and the glorious splendor of your
00:25:10kingdom.
00:25:12Your kingdom is a kingdom for all ages, and your dominion endures through all generations.
00:25:20I will praise your name forever, my King and my God.
00:25:28Our second reading is from the book of Revelation.
00:25:32Then I, John, saw a new heaven and a new earth.
00:25:38The former heaven and the former earth had passed away, and the sea was no more.
00:25:45I also saw the holy city, a new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared
00:25:53as a bride adorned for her husband.
00:25:56I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, Behold, God's dwelling is with the human race.
00:26:05He will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will always be
00:26:12with them as their God.
00:26:15He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there shall be no more death or mourning,
00:26:23wailing or pain, for the old order has passed away.
00:26:28The one who sat on the throne said, Behold, I make all things new.
00:26:35This is the word of the Lord.
00:26:37Thanks be to God.
00:26:52Please rise.
00:27:00Alleluia, Alleluia, Alleluia.
00:27:10Alleluia, Alleluia, Alleluia.
00:27:22Love one another with mutual affection.
00:27:26Anticipate one another in showing honor.
00:27:31Alleluia, Alleluia, Alleluia.
00:27:52May the Lord be in my heart and on my lips.
00:28:05I will proclaim his holy gospel through Jesus Christ our Lord.
00:28:09Amen.
00:28:10The Lord be with you.
00:28:13And also with you.
00:28:14A reading from the holy gospel according to Saint John.
00:28:18Glory be to you, O Lord.
00:28:21When Judas had left them, Jesus said, Now is the Son of Man glorified, and God is glorified in him.
00:28:30If God is glorified in him, God will also glorify him in himself, and God will glorify him at once.
00:28:39My children, I will be with you only a little while longer.
00:28:44I give you a new commandment.
00:28:46Love one another as I have loved you, so you also should love one another.
00:28:53This is how all will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.
00:29:00This is the gospel of the Lord.
00:29:04Praise be to you, O Lord Jesus Christ.
00:29:19Spirit, come, we ask you.
00:29:24May we receive from you.
00:29:29Heavenly revelation.
00:29:34May our stubborn will be moved.
00:29:39May we fully comprehend.
00:29:43Guided by your constant hand.
00:29:48Standing on your words of promise.
00:29:53We confirm and praise your goodness.
00:30:12This is how all will know that you are my disciples.
00:30:18If you have love for one another.
00:30:21In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
00:30:25Christ is risen. Alleluia.
00:30:29He is risen in the name. Alleluia.
00:30:32We're doing better every week. It's wonderful.
00:30:36As we've been journeying through this 50 day, as I mentioned at the beginning, season of Easter.
00:30:44We may have noticed a sort of a theme, a recurring theme.
00:30:48It actually started before Easter in Jesus' discourse in the Gospel of Saint John with his disciples.
00:30:58What Jesus was doing was he was telling his disciples, telling us, who his Father in Heaven is.
00:31:07He wanted us to know his Father in Heaven as intimately as he knew his Father in Heaven.
00:31:15Jesus told them, I have come from the Father. No one has seen the Father, but I have seen the Father.
00:31:20I came from the Father, and I'm revealing the Father to each and every one of you.
00:31:28The revelation was made clear, of course, from the cross.
00:31:33No one knew that Jesus stated that he was doing his Father's will.
00:31:37And he had told his disciples this way before.
00:31:41In all of their travels throughout Galilee and throughout Judea, Jesus kept saying,
00:31:46I have to go to Jerusalem. I have to carry out my Father's will.
00:31:49I will be condemned by evil men. I will be executed.
00:31:52But on the third day, I will rise.
00:31:56Jesus is doing the will of the Father.
00:31:59And the Father's will was that his very Son would offer his life for our salvation.
00:32:09Does anybody want to offer their house for people's salvation?
00:32:13Does anybody want to offer their child for our salvation?
00:32:17We would have some trouble doing that.
00:32:20As a matter of fact, the apostles said that in the epistles.
00:32:23It is very rare that someone should give his life for another.
00:32:27And even a good person may not give his life for another.
00:32:31But yet we have this Christ who came among us and gave his life for us,
00:32:36carrying out his Father's will.
00:32:40From the empty tomb, we learn something else.
00:32:44That Jesus, in his glorified body, had risen from the dead,
00:32:49and had opened the gates of heaven to us.
00:32:53We get to go to heaven.
00:32:57The thing I've been scared about since I was two years old.
00:33:00I figured I was going to go to the other place.
00:33:03That's what the nuns would tell you.
00:33:06Bad boy. Shame on you.
00:33:09Well, we get to go to heaven.
00:33:12And that's a guarantee.
00:33:15Because Jesus opened those gates of heaven for us who are his faithful.
00:33:20We get to go there and we get to see God the Father face to face.
00:33:25We get to have glorified bodies like Jesus' glorified body.
00:33:32What a wonderful, wonderful place where we will end up for all of eternity.
00:33:39Not just for a short time, but forever.
00:33:43Last Sunday, we heard Jesus tell us that his Heavenly Father,
00:33:47sitting on his glorious throne in heaven,
00:33:50holds us in the palm of his hand.
00:33:53He sees us, he recognizes us, he knows us, he holds us.
00:33:58And he told us that no one can take us away from the Father.
00:34:04I always want to put a little bracket around that.
00:34:07No one can take us away from the Father.
00:34:10But you know who can? We can do it ourselves.
00:34:13So we've got to be careful about that.
00:34:16We want to stay in the Father's hand.
00:34:19Today, Jesus speaks of the Father's powerful love.
00:34:24Love is what motivates God.
00:34:28What motivates you to think God?
00:34:30What's his motivator? What's his theme?
00:34:33What's the thing he's after?
00:34:35It's love.
00:34:37What motivates God is love.
00:34:41Love is his character.
00:34:43Love is his essential character.
00:34:45Love is who he is through and through.
00:34:49And God is the perfection of love.
00:34:54The perfection of love calls us, all of us, to love.
00:34:58To love one another.
00:35:01To move our love from its imperfect state,
00:35:04where we may be right now, to a perfect state.
00:35:08We're constantly on the move.
00:35:12Sometimes I feel very sedentary,
00:35:15but hopefully I'm always on the move
00:35:17toward a more perfect love.
00:35:20More perfect love by what we say, by what we do,
00:35:23by what we feel, by what we think,
00:35:25in every aspect of our lives.
00:35:31God's perfect love is now in the Church.
00:35:37It is in the Church by Jesus' very command,
00:35:40which we heard today.
00:35:42I give you a new commandment.
00:35:44Love one another.
00:35:47He wasn't directing anyone else but the Church to love.
00:35:54Jesus speaks of glory, of course.
00:35:56He says, now is the Son of Man glorified,
00:35:59and God is glorified in him.
00:36:01And what we might understand of glory
00:36:03is so far removed from God's self-conception
00:36:07of what glory is.
00:36:10When we think of glory, we think of kings and princes
00:36:13and parades and honors and power
00:36:16and all that kind of earthly, banal stuff.
00:36:19Right?
00:36:20Oh, just the power.
00:36:22OK, great.
00:36:23You have power.
00:36:24Go for it.
00:36:26But that's not what God's power is all about.
00:36:32Rather, God's glory,
00:36:35God's glory,
00:36:37is simply perfect love.
00:36:40When perfect love shines forth,
00:36:42God is glorified.
00:36:46As I said, glory is not crowns or treasures
00:36:49or power in the earthly, banal sense,
00:36:52but rather a treasury of love
00:36:55that we get to dip into.
00:36:57It's like the pirate movies, right?
00:37:00You find the treasure chest,
00:37:01and we get to go to the treasure chest
00:37:03and open up this treasury of love
00:37:05that is the Father's,
00:37:06and we get to draw from it.
00:37:09It's better than going to the bank.
00:37:11Believe me.
00:37:13The bank, you get money.
00:37:15But from God's treasury, we can get love.
00:37:20We can draw from it,
00:37:22and then we have cause to share it,
00:37:24to further grow it,
00:37:26to implement it.
00:37:29And perfect love, by God's grace,
00:37:32shines forth from ourselves
00:37:35into our community,
00:37:38into our interactions with others.
00:37:41St. John in Revelation
00:37:43shares his vision of what the new heaven
00:37:45and the new earth will be like,
00:37:47where every tear will be wiped away,
00:37:49where there will be no more sorrow,
00:37:51no more pain.
00:37:54It will be a place of perfect love.
00:37:58A place of perfect love.
00:38:00That reality is dependent on us.
00:38:04It depends on us.
00:38:07If the Father wanted to do it,
00:38:09he could end the world right now,
00:38:11implement his kingdom,
00:38:12and say, here it is.
00:38:14All you who sort of did okay,
00:38:17come on.
00:38:18Enter into the kingdom.
00:38:20I'm going to take care of you.
00:38:22But rather, God the Father
00:38:24wants us to implement his love here,
00:38:27to build that kingdom here,
00:38:29so that when the end time comes,
00:38:32we will all be ready
00:38:34to enter into that kingdom.
00:38:37That reality is dependent
00:38:39on our cooperation with God,
00:38:42and our work in building his kingdom.
00:38:46Now, we're not going to get it done
00:38:48through earthly power.
00:38:50Nobody's going to pull out the bank book
00:38:52and say, well, here's ten million dollars,
00:38:54go build God's kingdom.
00:38:57That's never going to happen.
00:39:02No one here is going to be
00:39:04the king of the world.
00:39:06We're not going to have
00:39:08that kind of power.
00:39:10We're not going to have any special wisdom.
00:39:13Nobody's going to be like,
00:39:14oh, I have all the wisdom in the world now.
00:39:17I know how to implement perfect love.
00:39:19If you hear that from somebody,
00:39:21run in the other direction.
00:39:23Rather, it's our everyday doing,
00:39:26our getting better and better at love.
00:39:31That work is completely dependent
00:39:35through God's grace
00:39:37on how well we love.
00:39:40In the name of the Father,
00:39:41and of the Son,
00:39:42and of the Holy Spirit,
00:39:43Amen.
00:39:53Let us now rise
00:39:54and together profess our faith.
00:39:56I believe in one God,
00:39:58the Father, the Almighty,
00:40:00Maker of heaven and earth,
00:40:02of all that is seen and unseen.
00:40:04I believe in one Lord,
00:40:06Jesus Christ,
00:40:08the only Son of God,
00:40:10eternally begotten of the Father,
00:40:12God from God,
00:40:14light from light,
00:40:16eternal life,
00:40:18eternal life,
00:40:20eternal life,
00:40:22God from God,
00:40:24light from light,
00:40:26true God from true God,
00:40:28begotten, not made,
00:40:30of one being with the Father.
00:40:32Through Him all things are made.
00:40:34For us and for our salvation,
00:40:36He came down from heaven.
00:40:38By the power of the Holy Spirit,
00:40:40He was born of the Virgin Mary
00:40:42and became man.
00:40:44For our sake,
00:40:46He was crucified under Pontius Pilate.
00:40:48He suffered death and was buried.
00:40:50On the third day,
00:40:52He rose again in fulfillment
00:40:54of the Scriptures.
00:40:56He ascended into heaven
00:40:58and is seated at the right hand
00:41:00of the Father.
00:41:02He will come again in glory
00:41:04to judge the living and the dead
00:41:06and His kingdom will have no end.
00:41:08I believe in the Holy Spirit,
00:41:10the Lord and Giver of life,
00:41:12who proceeds from the Father.
00:41:14With the Father and the Son,
00:41:16He is worshipped and glorified.
00:41:18I believe in one holy
00:41:20Catholic and Apostolic Church.
00:41:22I acknowledge one baptism
00:41:24for the forgiveness of sins.
00:41:26I look for the resurrection of the dead
00:41:28and the life of the world
00:41:30to come. Amen.
00:41:34The Lord be with you.
00:41:36And also with you.
00:41:38Look to the Lord,
00:41:40who is gracious and merciful,
00:41:42slow to anger and of great kindness.
00:41:44Our response will be,
00:41:46Lord, hear our prayer.
00:41:48For our Prime Bishop and Bishop Anthony,
00:41:50for his brother bishops,
00:41:52priests, deacons, and all who minister
00:41:54in the Church, that they model
00:41:56Christ's overwhelming love
00:41:58in all they do, we pray to the Lord.
00:42:00Lord, hear our prayer.
00:42:02For ourselves,
00:42:04during this Easter season,
00:42:06that we continually exercise
00:42:08Christ's commandment of love,
00:42:10we pray to the Lord.
00:42:12Lord, hear our prayer.
00:42:15For our spiritualistic efforts,
00:42:17that we may, by love,
00:42:19invite people to know love and serve the Lord,
00:42:21we pray to the Lord.
00:42:23Lord, hear our prayer.
00:42:25For all of our youth,
00:42:27that they grow in the life of love
00:42:29as modeled after Jesus
00:42:31by their parents,
00:42:33we pray to the Lord.
00:42:35Lord, hear our prayer.
00:42:37For all who must travel,
00:42:39that they be protected from every harm,
00:42:41we pray to the Lord.
00:42:43That there be an increase
00:42:45in the number of clergy within our Holy Church,
00:42:47God sending men
00:42:49who will show us how to keep
00:42:51His commandment of love,
00:42:53we pray to the Lord.
00:42:55Lord, hear our prayer.
00:42:57For the city of Schenectady and the Mount Pleasant neighborhood,
00:42:59and for all of our local communities
00:43:01and neighborhoods,
00:43:03that the mantle of God's protection may envelop
00:43:05them and drive out the evils
00:43:07of drugs, violence, and prejudice,
00:43:09we pray to the Lord.
00:43:11Lord, hear our prayer.

00:48:49of the Lord.
00:48:51Hosanna
00:48:53in the
00:48:55highest.
00:48:59Our Eucharistic prayer today
00:49:01is the traditional canon found
00:49:03on page 77 as a sign
00:49:05of our Easter joy
00:49:07remains standing through the canon,
00:49:09genuflecting at the elevations.
00:49:17Through Jesus Christ, your son,
00:49:19we ask you to accept and bless these gifts
00:49:21we offer you in sacrifice.
00:49:23We offer them for your holy Catholic church,
00:49:25asking you to defend and guide it throughout the world.
00:49:27We offer them for Anthony, our prime
00:49:29bishop and bishop, and for all
00:49:31bishops, priests, deacons, and other ministers
00:49:33who profess the true faith which comes
00:49:35to us from the apostles.
00:49:37Remember your people, Lord, especially
00:49:39our brothers and sisters for whom we now pray,
00:49:41especially for all the members
00:49:43of our parish, all those who find
00:49:45their home of faith here with us,
00:49:47as well as their loved ones
00:49:49and our benefactors.
00:49:51Remember all of us
00:49:53who are present here, who truly believe and are
00:49:55devoted to you. We offer this sacrifice
00:49:57of praise to you, our living, eternal, and
00:49:59true God, for ourselves and all those
00:50:01we love, for the redemption of our
00:50:03souls, with hope for our salvation.
00:50:05Together with the whole church, we honour
00:50:07the Virgin Mary, the mother of our Lord, Jesus
00:50:09Christ. We also honour the apostles
00:50:11and martyrs, as well as all those who have
00:50:13lived and died confessing your name.
00:50:15Remember them. We deserve to follow their
00:50:17example, and so gain your love
00:50:19and help. Father, accept this
00:50:21offering from your whole family. Grant us
00:50:23your peace in this life.
00:50:25Preserve us from spiritual damnation,
00:50:27and count us among
00:50:29your chosen people.
00:50:37Bless, accept, and approve
00:50:39this offering we now make to you, and let
00:50:41it be pleasing to you.
00:50:43Fill it with the power of your Holy Spirit,
00:50:45and let it become for us
00:50:47the body and the blood of your
00:50:49Son, our Lord, Jesus
00:50:51Christ. The day before
00:50:53he suffered and died, our
00:50:55Lord desired to make his love
00:50:57known to his disciples and
00:50:59all who would follow him. He
00:51:01therefore instituted these sacred mysteries
00:51:03by which he joined himself
00:51:05with them spiritually and
00:51:07bodily, in his whole being,
00:51:09and abides with us forever.
00:51:11At that moment,
00:51:13so sacred for all of
00:51:15humanity, Jesus took bread
00:51:17into his holy hands,
00:51:19and looking up to heaven, to you
00:51:21his almighty Father,
00:51:23he gave you thanks.
00:51:25He blessed the bread, broke it,
00:51:27and gave it to his disciples, saying,
00:51:29Take this,
00:51:31all of you, and eat it, for this
00:51:33is my body, which is
00:51:35given for you.
00:51:39When supper had ended,
00:51:41he took the cup, in the same
00:51:43way he gave you thanks,
00:51:45blessed it, and gave it
00:51:47to his disciples, saying,
00:51:49Take this, all of you,
00:51:51and drink from it, for this
00:51:53is the cup of my blood,
00:51:55the blood of the new and everlasting
00:51:57Son, our Lord, Jesus Christ.
00:51:59When supper had ended,
00:52:01he took the cup, in the same
00:52:03way he gave you thanks,
00:52:05blessed it, and gave it to his
00:52:07disciples, saying, Take this,
00:52:09all of you, and drink from it,
00:52:11the blood of the new and everlasting
00:52:13covenant, which shall be shed for
00:52:15you and for many for the forgiveness
00:52:17of sins, as often as you do
00:52:19this, do it in remembrance
00:52:21of me.
00:52:23Father, in
00:52:35celebration of the memory
00:52:37of Jesus Christ, your Son,
00:52:39we, your people, recall his passion,
00:52:41resurrection from the dead, and ascension
00:52:43into glory. For the many
00:52:45gifts you have given us, we offer
00:52:47you this pure, holy, and spotless
00:52:49offering, the holy bread of life
00:52:51and the holy cup of eternal salvation.
00:52:53Look favorably on these
00:52:55offerings, and accept them as you once
00:52:57accepted the gifts of your servant,
00:52:59Abel, the sacrifice of our Father
00:53:01in faith, Abraham, and the
00:53:03bread and wine offered by your priest,
00:53:05Melchizedek. In humility,
00:53:07we ask, Father, that these offerings
00:53:09be carried
00:53:11by your angel to your high
00:53:13altar in heaven, so that we
00:53:15who receive the sacred body
00:53:17and blood of your Son from this altar
00:53:19may be filled with your grace
00:53:21and blessing.
00:53:23Remember, Lord, our brothers and sisters
00:53:25who have died and have gone before
00:53:27us, marked with the sign of faith.
00:53:29And today we especially remember
00:53:31our brother, William, and our
00:53:33sister, Barbara.
00:53:35May these and all who rest
00:53:37in Christ find happiness, light,
00:53:39and peace, and we who
00:53:41trust in your love also ask to
00:53:43be included in the fellowship of your holy
00:53:45apostles, martyrs, and saints who
00:53:47offered their lives to you. They were
00:53:49filled with your justice and mercy,
00:53:51and because they lived in accord
00:53:53with the teachings of Jesus, gained
00:53:55eternal joy. Count us among
00:53:57them, Father, not because of
00:53:59what we truly deserve, but because
00:54:01you are willing to forgive us.
00:54:03We ask this in the name of your Son,
00:54:05Jesus Christ, by whom you
00:54:07give us all these gifts. You fill
00:54:09them with life and goodness. You bless
00:54:11them and make them holy.
00:54:13Through him,
00:54:15with him, and in him,
00:54:17in the unity of the Holy
00:54:19Spirit, all honor
00:54:21and glory are yours, almighty
00:54:23Father, forever
00:54:25and ever.
00:54:37Let us pray with confidence to
00:54:39the Father in the words
00:54:41our Savior gave
00:54:43us.
00:54:45Our
00:54:47Father,
00:54:49who art in heaven,
00:54:51hallowed
00:54:53be thy
00:54:55name. Thy
00:54:57kingdom come,
00:54:59thy
00:55:01will be done
00:55:03on
00:55:05earth as
00:55:07it is in
00:55:09heaven.
00:55:11Give us
00:55:13this day
00:55:15our daily
00:55:17bread, and
00:55:19forgive us
00:55:21our trespasses
00:55:23as
00:55:25we forgive those
00:55:27who trespass
00:55:29against us.
00:55:31And lead us
00:55:33not into
00:55:35temptation,
00:55:37but deliver
00:55:39us from
00:55:41evil.
00:55:43Deliver us,
00:55:45Lord, from every evil and grant us
00:55:47peace in our day.
00:55:49In your mercy, keep us free
00:55:51from sin and protect us from
00:55:53all anxiety
00:55:55as we wait in joyful hope
00:55:57for the coming of our Savior,
00:55:59Jesus Christ.
00:56:07The cup of
00:56:09blessing, which we
00:56:11bless, is it not a
00:56:13participation in the blood of
00:56:15Christ, the bread
00:56:17which we break?
00:56:19Is it not a participation
00:56:21in the body of Christ?
00:56:23Because there is
00:56:25one bread, we who are many
00:56:27are one body, for we all
00:56:29partake of the one bread.
00:56:31May the union of divinity and
00:56:33humanity in Jesus Christ
00:56:35bring us sanctification
00:56:37and eternal life.
00:56:39Amen.
00:56:41Lord Jesus Christ, you said to your
00:56:43apostles, I leave you peace, my peace
00:56:45I give you. Do not look at our
00:56:47sins, but on the faith of your church
00:56:49and grant us the peace and unity
00:56:51of your kingdom, where you
00:56:53live forever and ever.
00:56:57The peace of the Lord be with you
00:56:59always.
00:57:01Let us offer each other a sign of
00:57:03Christ's peace.
00:57:33Have mercy
00:57:35on us.
00:57:37Lamb of God,
00:57:39you take away
00:57:41the sins
00:57:43of the world.
00:57:47Have mercy
00:57:49on us.
00:57:51Lamb of God,
00:57:53you take away
00:57:55the sins
00:57:57of the world.
00:57:59Grant us
00:58:01peace.
00:58:03Let's now kneel and pray together
00:58:05the first communion prayer.
00:58:09Lord Jesus Christ,
00:58:11son of the living God, by the
00:58:13will of the Father and the work
00:58:15of the Holy Spirit, your
00:58:17death brought life to the world
00:58:19by your holy body and
00:58:21blood. Free me from all my
00:58:23sins and from every evil.
00:58:25Keep me faithful to your
00:58:27teaching and never let me
00:58:29be parted from you.
00:58:39I will take the bread of heaven
00:58:41and call upon the name of
00:58:43the Lord. Lord,
00:58:45I am not worthy to receive
00:58:47you, but only say the word
00:58:49and I shall be healed.
00:58:57Amen.
00:58:59Amen.
00:59:25May the blood of Christ
00:59:27come into everlasting life.
00:59:37My dear brothers and sisters,
00:59:39let's now join with all those who are with us
00:59:41virtually in a prayer
00:59:43of spiritual communion.

00:59:47I adore you in the most

01:00:13fire of your love, my
01:00:15Lord and Savior. Amen.
01:00:17Amen.
01:00:23This is
01:00:25the Lamb of God who takes away
01:00:27the sins of the world.
01:00:29Happy are those who are called to the table
01:00:31of the Lord.

01:06:51So thank you very much to Tom for doing that.
01:06:55And to Andrea for being here to open the door and lock up and all that kind of stuff.
