07:18We'll need to drive this to make sure those codes return on those two injectors.
07:32Once they return, that can lead us down a path of is it a circuit code, is it an injector code, or is it a misfire code?
07:37Then we can swap injectors over to a different bank and cylinder and see if it follows, or if it stays on those two holes.

08:35So, apparently I got a Nissan Titan in here that's intermittently making a bad noise.
08:40And they say now it's making the noise. So, let's go check it out.
09:05I got a low pressure fuel light flashing on.

09:19You hear it? There, there, there. It's misfired. And when it misfires, it smokes too. Pull the hood, dude.

09:41The guy does have a real problem here.
09:50Now, we had the, this has got a CP4 on it. And we had the filter part and we didn't see anything.
09:56It doesn't sound good. I'm going to turn it off.
10:00Injector circuit open cylinder five and low pressure fuel system.
10:06Well, it would have, if the injector was open, you'd lose.

10:14That explains the knocking noise. It's just adding to way too much fuel.
10:18And it's the smoke and the noise. So the next step is, we got to look at that circuit. We got to go in and look at that injector.

11:14Your Nissan, we finally got it to start making that noise and it's definitely an engine knock from a fuel issue.

11:25We also, the check engine light did come on. It is for that number five cylinder.

11:32And we also saw the low fuel pressure light come on. Did you see that come on too?
11:37I have not actually ever seen that one come on.
11:39Yeah, we had a message center in the center and it says low fuel pressure.
11:44Which makes sense because if the injector is stuck open, when it knocks, it does make a very nasty sound and you're getting a lot of black smoke out of the tailpipe.
11:55Yeah.
11:56And so that low fuel pressure would be that injector stand open and it would lower the pressure in the rail so it all makes sense.
12:04But here's what we, according to my schematic, cylinder number five is the third hole back on the passenger side of that motor.
12:15This is what I want to make sure of.
12:17That's what I show in my repair manual on that motor identified as cylinder number five.
12:23Third back on the passenger side.
12:25Did the dealer happen to tell you, I know they replaced, you know, you've had it in there multiple times and they just kept throwing an injector at it.
12:32I know they told you cylinder number five, but did they happen to mention it was the drivers or passenger side?
12:37I believe they told me passenger, but that's so long ago I could be wrong.
12:41Well, that's what I show. I just wanted to make sure because sometimes, you know, but they're showing it as the passenger side.
12:47So here's what I, here's where we need to go with this. It's intermittent.
12:50First, when you brought me the truck, I was like, well, it didn't happen.
12:53It didn't happen. I took on a good drive. Never happened.
12:55It can only be a few things.
12:57First thing would be mechanical, you know, it's just, it's got a bad injector.
13:01You know, for some reason there is a possibility.
13:04First injector is bad. Second injector is bad. Third injector is bad.
13:07There is that possibility.
13:09Now you and me and anybody else listening to this is going to go, well, that's kind of rare.
13:13That just can't be. Well, I wish that was true, but it's not.
13:17You know, they can, they can make a batch of bad injectors and put them out for sale.
13:22And they're all, you know, they're not good.
13:24We need to just go in a little more.
13:26I want to check the pigtail, which is the connector at the injector in the harness.
13:31And then if we don't find a problem, I'm going to want to get another injector and put it in there.
13:36And then I'm going to want to send your injector out and have it tested.
13:40It's not going to cost that much more and, and test it.
13:45I honestly, I don't know what else to do to start.
13:49Yeah.
13:50I know, I know you've had a dealer put it, you know, multiple injectors in it and it keeps coming back.
13:54So it probably isn't an injector.
13:57That's why I'm going to really check the, the electrical connector and all that real good.

14:02I wish I had something that made you feel like, oh, they figured it out.
14:06It's, it's, it's a weird thing, man, with the same hole and you've already had it looked at a couple of times.
14:13So with your permission, we're just going to get another injector.

14:38You know, sometimes we sure like it when we can definitively tell a customer,
14:41Hey, we found what the problem is, especially when they have it, you know,
14:45they've had it to other shops or the dealer multiple times with the same issue.
14:49That's always, you know, it's nice for us.
14:51It makes us feel good, look good.
14:53And the customer sure loves it, but that doesn't always happen.
14:57You know, we don't always have like that, but I think, uh, he understands that.
15:02So we'll, we're going to do what I told him we're going to do.
15:05And, uh, my guess is if we don't find a, we don't have a bad, another injector that's bad,
15:10which it's possible, but gosh, you'd think like by the third or fourth one,
15:14you wouldn't have that problem.
15:15I think we'd probably have a bad pigtail, a connector or a wiring harness issue.
15:19I think that's what's happening.
15:20And it's dropping the signal.
15:26Funny thing is I charged them before, uh, before I left.
15:31Might need new batteries.

17:28just so there's no bad terminal tension or contact or anything program the injector

18:14all right with the injector out i'm just going to blow the hole out a little bit and then i'll pop the
18:20new one in
18:21just going to lube up the o-ring a little bit with assembly lube and it should be good to go
18:41okay i found a good spot and i chopped the old pigtail off and then i prepped this one i put my crimps on and then got my heat shrink ready
18:57i like using the traditional crimps instead of the ones that come with it just in tight areas like this where i'm putting it back on the
19:06wiring harness i like doing it this way just because once i heat shrink that it's a lot thinner and a lot easier to maneuver and tape up and it doesn't just look like i did a wire repair there when i tape it up isn't huge and bulky
