12:22And the ring is installed in the same height.

12:24And I mean, look, it's got a ton of clearance in here.

12:27That's where his blow by was.

12:29This cylinder wore itself out.

12:30This here, there's a big ridge right on that cylinder.

12:34And if you look at all the other cylinders, there's not.

12:38But other than that though, this motor...

12:40It did pretty dang good.

12:42I mean, the cam journals look good.

12:43We'll get these tappets out of here.

12:45Now that we've got the crank out of the way.

12:47How could he have avoided that?

12:48That's kind of the question that people will want to ask.

12:52290,000 miles on an old 12 valve.

12:56From what I can see, probably, you know, as nasty as the oil was in it,

13:00and maybe not as freaking oil changes as you needed

13:04and you were building up too much soot in the oil.

13:06And the keystone ring couldn't handle the dirt.

13:10It was just getting beat up because of excessive carbon buildup.

13:13Well, too much soot in the oil.

13:16I wanted to show you the piston pin squirters on this.

13:19A piece of plastic that actually...

13:21This is plastic that comes up here and squirts on the backside of the piston.

13:25We might want to look at that real quick and see if that oil squirter has got a plug...

13:30If it's plugged up.

13:31Yeah, see my light coming up through that hole?

13:34So that's not... it wasn't plugged.

13:36That's not the problem.

13:37And then let's look at the cylinder head real quick.

13:45So this is the cylinder.

13:47You can see these injector tips here that are still in the motor.

13:51This valve here is getting ready to burn, I'll tell you that right now.

13:56Just because you're seeing this discoloration?

13:58Yeah, this one too, yes.
