00:00Durham went joint top of this season's Vitality T20 Blast competition with another home win, this time against Birmingham Bears. Ryan Campbell reacted.
00:08Well that was always the hope. I remember when I first came here that's what I really wanted to do with our T20 and even in whatever cricket we play that when people travel up here they know they're in for a real hard time.
00:21I think obviously we've still got a long way to go to be perfect in the T20 sphere but I think everyone can see the improvements we've made and the excitement that we're bringing to our T20 cricket.
00:35It's a good time to be a viewer I would have thought.
00:39Well it's great to commentate on for one but I think from your point of view it must be really pleasing to know that different players are really standing up each week.
00:46Well that's the key to it all. T20 cricket's not about your best players always doing the business. It's your best players winning some games for you but everyone else has to chip up.
00:58You know they have to stand up in the big moments and I think you see that today Alex Lee's got knocked over early and then you know Ollie Robinson was out early and that power play could have got away from us but there was it will believe Graham Clark again was fantastic, Colin Ackerman.
01:14And Middlesbrough's head coach Rob Edwards has spoken to his difficult ending to his tenure with Luton Town in his previous role in football management.
01:23Yeah it was difficult and I'm not going to hide away from that you know we and I think people look everyone goes through it at some stage you know it's almost inevitable and actually when you see some of the best even last season going through difficult moments of their football clubs are huge football clubs as well you think what can happen to everyone and anyone.
01:45And there was lots of reasons for it you'd sort of digest it and you reflect and you think okay maybe I could have done that maybe we could have done that but obviously in any sort of football club it's it's it's it's it's a we you know so we're all part of this together as well so there's things that we could have done better and but but overall the the overriding feeling was real pride in what we were able to achieve and
02:07and then there was some different yeah it was difficult almost managing a relegation from the Premier League which a lot of us hadn't experienced before.
