00:00Sunderland head coach Regis Labrice has made clear that it is better for his side to make mistakes now in pre-season before they return to the Premier League in August, as they were beaten 1-0 by Sporting Lisbon.
00:11Yes, two different halves again, because we split the group in two parts for 45 minutes each. I think the tensions were good, again, I think the energy of the squad was really interesting.
00:28We struggled a bit to manage the depth. During the first half, we considered the goal the only opportunity they had, I think.
00:38So, I think it's better to make that mistake right now, to understand exactly how we want to defend against this kind of squad, because they were mature, well-organized, with different options, through and in behind.
00:54So, it's good to manage this kind of problem early in the season, and we created chances. Unfortunately, we didn't score, and I think it's very important, even now, when you can create so many chances, to be a bit more clinical, because it will be key this season.
01:14And, Middlesbrough's Australian player, Riley McGree, has been reflecting on some of his career highlights up to the present day, and making clear just how he came to play for Middlesbrough.
01:26It's a difficult question to answer, I think, as a player, when you're in your career, but if I was to look back now, and I was to stop my career right now, I think I'd be extremely proud of what I've achieved.
01:38As I said, it's kind of hard to see it when you're in it, but to play at the level here in Middlesbrough, and to be striving for promotion, and towards the top end of the league, and then also, on an international level,
01:54capture my country, World Cup, I think, an overseas career outside of Australia, it's the goal and the aim for the most young players, men and women, growing up, is to pave your way and do well in Australia,
02:11and then kind of get out there and explore overseas opportunities.
