00:00Leeds United head coach Daniel Farker has reflected on what was a first win in pre-season for his side
00:06in what he described as a challenging test for the Whites ahead of their return to the Premier League in August.
00:12Well, overall, first win under our belt is good.
00:15It was the challenging and difficult game that I expected.
00:19When you play your first friendly against Man United in a sold-out stadium, 50,000 supporters,
00:25you are more or less for 80 minutes a better side, you play nil-nil.
00:30And then with all this load, we had two really tough training days in the last two days.
00:36Then to play here during the training camp behind closed doors without any support as a side.
00:44You don't know that well as an English club, but for such a side, they were nearly promoted to the second Bundesliga.
00:51It's more or less a highlight of their pre-season.
00:53They concentrate also on this game and they did really well.
00:59So they pressed with energy and were brave.
01:01It was difficult for us today, but I liked our reaction, although obviously the Leeds were a bit tired today.
01:07Then to show resilience and also to dominate this game after the opening 50 minutes and then to win this game also well-deserved.
01:14And Bradford City are working hard on developing playing styles ahead of the new season.
01:18That's according to their manager, Graeme Alexander, speaking after their latest friendly.
01:23We've had a few 11v11s in training anyway, but when you're analysing them, obviously you're playing against each other and you sort of know what each other's going to do.
01:32Whereas, you know, you come up against a different opponent, they can play any which way.
01:36So I just wanted to see us play the way we play, the patterns we want to create, the expansion of the team, the aggression of the team out of possession.
01:46You know, we have to have a process of what we want to play like and it's a good step forward this week.
01:52And obviously there's tougher challenges coming on Wednesday and next Saturday, but it's a good stepping stone this week.
01:58Not just today, but this whole week.
02:00It brings an end to the week, almost with a run in the morning.
02:03How would you assess the week as a whole for the team?
02:05Honestly, the players have done it right.
02:09They've worked exceptionally hard in every session.
