00:00Middlesbrough have confirmed the appointment of former Luton Town boss Rob Edwards
00:04as their new head coach ahead of the upcoming championship season.
00:09Edwards' most notable managerial success was getting Luton Town promoted to the Premier League in 2023.
00:18It's a real proud moment for me. I'm a family.
00:21And to be given the opportunity to be the head coach at this brilliant football club,
00:25it's something that's not lost on me, how big a thing this is, how important it is,
00:32what this club means to people. I can't wait to get started now.
00:37I'm sure there were a lot of conversations before you took the role.
00:39Can you give us a bit of an insight into those and why this club was the right fit for you?
00:44From afar, I've always admired this club anyway.
00:46And obviously, I think a few years back when we went to Luton and obviously coming up against you,
00:52I've just admired the team and how you played and going back further as well,
00:58even playing against this football club and the support, the size of the club.
01:02So there's always been a real respect and admiration for the club from afar.
01:08And there were mixed emotions for Durham and head coach Ryan Campbell
01:12following the second day of their Red Bull match against Sussex at the Riverside.
01:17Hats off, you know, they played really well.
01:21And, you know, the young man making 130 or whatever, 140 not out.
01:26Just another great English youngster coming through the ranks.
01:30And, you know, if you're an England fan, you'd be pretty excited.
01:35I'm trying to be an England fan. I'm doing my best.
01:38But in all honesty, it is good to see young players getting opportunities and making big runs.
01:45And, you know, the game is in a healthy state.
01:48How was the mood in the dressing room after we got Sussex all out for 360?
01:52Did we feel, you guys feel that was around par?
01:55Did you feel like there was something there that you could maybe exploit later on?
01:58Oh, of course, you know, we'll look back and the missed opportunities.
02:01Of course, we're going to kick ourselves for those.
02:03But it's a flat wicket.
02:06And, you know, 360 we've seen here at the Riverside.
02:10If you're back big, you can go past and have a few up your sleeve.
