00:00Durham secured a T20 double over Neighbours Yorkshire, winning by a mammoth 63 runs as head coach Ryan Campbell reacted.
00:08We talk about putting in a complete performance and then, you know, for this first half of the competition, we'll be honest, we haven't been at our best, but been managing to find ways to win.
00:18But, you know, just before the game, we just spoke more about more freedom, a bit more enjoyment, a bit more, you know, all the hard work we've done in the offseason to hit more boundaries and, you know, ramp and do all these sort of things.
00:34It felt like it was just a bit tense when we were batting up until tonight.
00:39And I think Alex Lee showed the way and that's how he wants to bat in T20.
00:44And, you know, Clarkie just sort of was able to fit into his slipstream, so to speak.
00:49We know that Milan, Lythe and Bairstow were such keys to anyone's team.
00:55And, yeah, they started well, but it just felt if we kept bringing the pressure, you know, you've got to go at 10 and over for a long time.
01:03You've got to make a couple of mistakes.
01:04And, you know, thankfully for us today, they did make those mistakes.
01:07And Sunderland Sporting Director Christian Speakman believes that he and the rest of the executives at the club did what was best for Sunderland to get them promoted.
01:19You know, you have an idea and you have a concept and you have a belief in the way it should work.
01:25You know, going about the challenge in the way that we did was never about doing anything other than what we felt was the best thing for the football club and doing it in the best way, in the best manner.
01:33I think over that period of time that people have bought into that journey.
01:38And naturally, when you do something that's maybe slightly different to what was done before, it will always maybe come with a bit of suspicion and a little bit of people being a bit unsure.
01:48But I think, you know, to go through from League One to the Premier League is, you know, hopefully something that never has to happen for Sunderland again.
01:56But, you know, it's a really, really rewarding piece of work.
01:59You know, I came out of the hotel on Sunday morning with my family and, you know, it was a really nice touch because there must have been several hundred supporters outside and sort of got a really nice round of applause.
02:09And it was really nice for me personally, but more so it was nice for my family.
02:11You know, everyone has to work.
02:13Everyone's family has to sacrifice.
02:14You know, everyone's family has to sacrifice.
