00:00Sunderland head coach, Regis Labrice, believes that Sunderland are no longer an inconsistent
00:04team following a season that has seen them promoted.
00:09It was impossible to predict the outcome really, but I think we spoke together about the feeling
00:17I had about this team last season. They played well, they played fantastic football sometimes,
00:25for example against Southampton, they won 5-0, so it was clear that it was possible
00:29to play very good football and to be efficient, very dominant, but at the same time they were
00:34so inconsistent, so with ups, but many downs. So my job was, I think it's the job of a coaching
00:43staff, a manager to give the methodology to bring this consistency and it worked well,
00:52but we need talented players, we need strong connection between them and I think they deserve
00:57this statement. They worked so well together and at the end I think this game is a good
01:09example of the season.
01:11And Newcastle United head coach Eddie Howe has stressed his belief that the club has no
01:16PSR issues to contend with this summer as they did in the previous summer transfer window of
01:222024. That saw them have to sell Jan Kubeminti and Elliot Anderson to Brighton and Hove Albion
01:28and Nottingham Forest respectively to cover off a black hole in their financial records.
01:34Howe has made clear that this summer they do have the power to spend and strengthen their
01:39squad for the upcoming Premier League season.
01:46I always have to say this, as far as I'm aware, we have no PSR issues heading into this deadline.
01:54I have to put that in there because I'm not seeing the figures and I'm only relaying what I'm getting told.
02:01So I think we're in a lot healthier position, a lot stronger position and we're looking to reverse
02:07what we did last summer where we're in a strong position ourselves to make additions to the squad.
