00:00Are true Sikhs considered idol worshippers? Can a Muslim man marry a Sikh girl if they
00:09are considered idol or five worshippers? If you have heard my talks on Sikhism, Sikhism
00:19actually is against idol worship. They are against Avtar Vada, that Almighty God taking
00:25Avtar. A true Sikh who follow the scriptures believes there is one God and they believe
00:31that Almighty God has got no image. He is all-powerful. The concept of God in Sikhism is close to
00:39the concept of God in Islam. But the question is not that a Muslim cannot only marry an idol
00:46worshipper. A Muslim man or woman cannot marry a non-Muslim man or woman. The Quran says in
00:53Surah Bakhra chapter 2 verse number 2 verse 1. That let not a believing woman marry an
00:59unbelieving man or an idol worshipper until he believes a slave man who is a Muslim is far
01:08superior to a non-Muslim even if he allows you. He may be the most handsome man in the
01:13world. He may be the richest man in the world. But a believing man who is a bondsman, who
01:18is a slave man, Allah says is better than unbelieving man even if he allows you. He may be the most
01:22handsome man who is the richest man. And the verse continues that do not marry unbelieving
01:27woman or a mushrika. The two things, idol worshipper or unbeliever means those who don't believe
01:34in Islam. Do not marry unbelieving woman or a mushrika until they believe. A believing woman,
01:42a Muslima, even if she is a bondswoman, she is much better than an unbelieving woman even if
01:47she allows you. She may be a beauty queen. She may be the richest woman in the world.
01:52She may be a queen of the richest country in the world. But if she is an unbeliever, a
01:58Muslim woman who is a slave woman is far superior than an unbelieving woman even if she allows
02:03you. So based on this verse of the Quran, you cannot marry a non-Muslim. So the Sikh, even
02:08if it is the true Sikh following, you may not be doing idol worship. Can you marry? No. You
02:13have to believe in the last and final messenger, Prophet Muhammad. To marry, the person should
02:19be a Muslim, its compulsory. Should be a Muslim and the Prophet said that when you marry, when
02:26you look for a life partner, you look for four things. One is beauty, wealth, nobility and
02:32virtue. Religion, that is deal. And the most important we call is virtue, it is deal. So unless
02:39the non-Muslim accepts Islam, you cannot marry a non-Muslim. Hold on to the rest.
