00:00We are so back, baby!

00:07It's crazy to believe that we're about to start on the 5th Call Sam Chopper.

00:11That's five years of fun, but most importantly, five years of helping homeless veterans right here in Michigan.

00:17And you know, coming off the Lions bike last season, we knew we had to do something new and unique.

00:21Darren, you want to tell people what we're doing?

00:23Absolutely. This year's winner will have total say over the final paint job of the motorcycle.

00:28Whether you want a totally tubular two-tone or some classic pinstripes, maybe even my face.

00:34The decision is all yours.

00:36Let's see what we're working with to start off bike number five.

00:39We once again find ourselves at the corner of Nine Mile and De Quinder.

00:44With the mortar oil carpet rolled out, we check in with the boys of Bad Pig to see what's in store for bike number five.

00:52With handshakes and hellos out of the way, let's see what we're working with.

00:56This year we got a 14 Street Clyde. We're going to do a little performance upgrade to it.

01:02Make a run. Sound better. Perform better.

01:05What are you going to do with the engine? Anything?

01:08We're going to do a cam kit, oil pump, and cam plate upgrade with the new lifters and adjustable push rods.

01:15And then we're going to end up slapping a new exhaust on to go along with it.

01:20This year the emphasis will be put on performance.

01:24We want to make sure that whoever gets this bike will be ready to hit the road in style and cruise with power.

01:31Want to hear it? Yeah.

01:33Of course, we got to give her a few test revs.

01:43This 2014 Street Glide came to us as a blinged out beauty with red pinstripes and bold embellishments.

01:51This beast sure did stand out on the road.

01:55But it is time for an upgrade.

01:57And it is all about performance.

01:59The powers that be have settled in on adding new upgraded cam shafts, oil pump, and cam plate.

02:05Giving this pony some giddy up.

02:08In addition to the internal engine upgrades, this Street Glide is also getting some new pipes.

02:14So it can bark down the pavement.

02:18For the first time ever on the Call Sam Chopper Shop, we get to meet up with the seller.

02:23Who is hoping her bike can get a second chance on the road while helping veterans along the way.

02:31My name is Diana Moses.

02:33And I was in the process of trying to sell my bike.

02:37I can't tell you how exciting it is that my bike, like I just feel like so honored to be able to be a part of this.

02:47My son-in-law is in the military.

02:50And so even sharing with him what we were doing, he was really excited about it too.

02:57I was afraid of it.

02:58I ended up purchasing my motorcycle before I actually learned how to ride it.

03:02So it sat in the garage while I took my class.

03:05A lot of my friends would say, you know, aren't you afraid to ride?

03:08And I would say, no.

03:09Actually, I would describe it as, I wanted it more than I feared it.

03:17So how she got her name was on that big trip that we took and I went across the Mackinac Bridge.

03:22And I remember going over that bridge and that bridge is a long bridge.

03:25And once I got to the other side, I said, you know what?

03:28She just earned her name.

03:29Her name is called Courage.

03:31Because it took a lot, first for me to ride it in the first place.

03:35But after that one trip over the Mackinac Bridge, I actually had an opportunity to ride over it five more times.

03:41And I never feared bridges again.

03:43So she earned her name of Courage, which even makes it more special to me that this is going to be going on to our vets.
