00:00Let's go to some starting pitchers here, and the Pirates, you know, certainly not going to have a postseason type year, but if they did, Mitch Keller would be part of that. 88 innings pitch, 68 strikeouts. Strikeouts have been down a little bit, I guess, from where Keller used to be because he's not Paul Skeens. I guess that gets magnified a little bit. Still a quality starter, just hasn't won a lot of games, and George's Pirates don't score runs. They score more for him than they do for Skeens, but, you know, I don't know that you're going to trade him.
00:27I don't know that you're going to trade for him. There's just not a lot out there, but I will say this. If you want innings the rest of the year and an ERA around four, he's going to give it to you.
00:36He's a solid pitcher. I mean, he does play a pitcher in Pittsburgh, so that helped. Pitcher's ballpark there, but you're not going to get Ws, right, that we know the Pirates can't score here.
00:45I was wondering if maybe they would trade him at the deadline, but they just signed into a contract five years, $77 million before last season, so he's in year two of it.
00:52So he's got three years, left about 15.4 a year. I still think they might consider moving him, but I don't know if they'll get the return.
00:59You know, he's obviously a scheme. If they put Skeens on the market, they would get anything they want for him, right?
01:03They can get a major organization overhaul for him. You're not going to get that for Keller.
01:08Solid starter, probably an SP3 as far as a playoff team is concerned here, so I think they'll get some bites there, but in the end, he probably does stay with Pittsburgh.
01:16So like I said, it makes him a three-category guy, the ratios and strikeouts. It's all you're getting, and you meant that strikeouts are down a little bit far from what we've seen in the past for him.
01:24I like Keller. I think he'd be really good on a better team. Unfortunately, he's not on a better team.
01:30Drew Rasmussen of the Tampa Bay Rays has been fantastic. 2.61 earned run average, 79 innings, 67 strikeouts.
01:37You got to count on the bullpen normally with him, but George, five innings, good ERA, he'll give you that.
01:43I had him on my home league team at least twice this season, and he didn't do anything. Both times when I had him, obviously, earlier, he didn't do much.
01:53And as you mentioned, earlier in the year, he came back from injury. He wasn't going deep in the games. He was a pretty four-, five-inning guy.
01:59Now he's changed that. He's going five-, six-innings. Now he looks very good here. He's not an ace.
02:04He's more of an SP2, SP3, but he's pitching very well right now.
02:07And remember, the good news for him is when they play those road games, you get out of Tampa Bay, you get out of that wind that's blowing out there.
02:13So maybe that'll be good for the Tampa Bay pitching staff. I wish I still had him.
