00:00Let's start off with the Red Sox on Monday.
00:03Simple and plain, this is probably a good one.
00:05Richard Fitz against the Colorado Rockies.
00:09The Red Sox are at home on a Monday against the worst team in baseball.
00:13You said it.
00:14They are playing better.
00:16But if I'm going to grab somebody, this probably is a good time to start.
00:20Fitz is actually a two-star pitcher, by the way.
00:23The fact that he's going on Monday lets us know that.
00:26Fitz goes against Colorado, then he gets Tampa Bay.
00:29That second start is Shane Baz, for what it's worth here.
00:33Even if it was one start, by the way, yeah.
00:35He'd be a guy because he's facing Colorado.
00:38So I'll take a shot on him.
00:40I don't like Fitz.
00:41He's not somebody I want on my team.
00:43And the fact that it's a two-star week is really perfect because he is a streamer.
00:47He'll start him this week, and then you're getting rid of him
00:49because you're not going to want him to be on your team probably after that year.
00:52But, yeah, he would go for me one or two starts this week.
00:55We have Andre Palante of the St. Louis Cardinals,
00:588% owned in fantasy leagues, gets a matchup Tuesday
01:02against the Washington Nationals.
01:04I guess if you just walk James Wood, just call Andre, George.
01:08Pick him up.
01:08Call him.
01:08Say, just walk James Wood, and the rest of your start will be fine.
01:13That's what they did the other night, right?
01:14What, they intentionally walked him 17 times here?
01:16I don't know why more teams don't do that, Craig.
01:19I know.
01:20We joke about it, but why aren't you – why let the V11 team's best hitter when they –
01:24let's face it, Washington doesn't have a lot of great hitters,
01:26but when they only have one or two and the game's on the line here,
01:29why do you pitch to him?
01:30Why?
01:31He's really good, James Wood.
01:33Really, really, really good.
01:34So, yeah, I would welcome him as well here.
01:36Palante's another one.
01:37He's got two starts this week.
01:38I was telling you during the break here, I'm deciding between him
01:41and Yuri Perez for my fantasy team to replace Clark Schmidt, who got hurt.
01:45I play in a points league, so wins are more important.
01:47So, I'm kind of leaning towards Palante, but Yuri Perez is the better pitcher.
01:51I don't think it's really all that close here.
01:52So, I haven't made that final decision here, and I'll decide later this week.
01:55But, yeah, I'm starting – I would start Palante if I had him on my roster
01:59this week as well.
02:00All right.
02:01Now, this is a little bit of a stunner.
02:03The Blue Jays decided to give Eric Lauer a shot in their rotation.
02:06George, what is going on here?
02:07This guy is pitching fantastic.
02:104-1 with an ERA sub-3, 15% owned against the White Sox.
02:15I mean, look, he's got the potential to get blown up at any time.
02:18He's a soft-tossing lefty.
02:20But, man, for the time being, if the Blue Jays are going to score runs
02:22like in your points league, you've got to go for it, right?
02:25Agreed.
02:26You're riding on the hot car.
02:27You're playing a bad team.
02:29I understand Chicago, blah, the White Sox, that ball,
02:31does fly out of that ballpark.
02:32But if it was at home, it would be the same problem.
02:34All right.
02:35So, yes, I think you already named the reason why.
02:36They're playing well.
02:37They're scoring runs here.
02:38Points league.
02:39Wins could be big here.
02:40Get a couple of strikeouts.
02:41I'll take my chances with Lauer.
02:44All right.
02:44We've got Hugh Darvish of the San Diego Padres.
02:48Remember Hugh Darvish?
02:4938-year-old starting pitcher.
02:51Career.
02:52Fantastic.
02:54What's missing from Hugh Darvish, George, this season?
02:56Oh, that would be stats from Hugh Darvish.
03:00Yeah, I don't know about this.
03:03I mean, this is, like, in name only for me at this point.
03:05Takes on Arizona.
03:0724% owned.
03:09People hanging on to this guy for half a season.
03:11Kind of crazy.
03:13This is a guess anyway, right?
03:15Because he was supposed to – they thought maybe he was going to start Sunday.
03:18They scratched him there.
03:20So, we don't know if and when he'd start during the week.
03:22Or is he going to start?
03:24Is it Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, whatever day it might be?
03:26It doesn't matter.
03:28For me, I do – I intently dislike starting a pitcher his first game back
03:33after returning from a long-term injury, which is what this is.
03:36We haven't seen him this year.
03:37So, there's no way I'm starting – and, by the way, if we talk about this next week,
03:40same topic.
03:41You know, same topic.
03:42I'm not starting him in that game either.
03:43I need to see him pitch once before I'll think about putting him in my lineup.
03:48The Texas Rangers signed Patrick Corbin in the offseason.
03:50Man, in April, Patrick Corbin looked like the signing of the offseason.
03:54But all good things must come to an end than it has for Corbin.
03:58Although his numbers at the end of the season are going to be better this year
04:00than they have been in the last few years, George.
04:02You've got to be a little nutty to start him at Houston, no?
04:06I don't think you need to be nutty, all right?
04:08You mentioned it.
04:09It's catching up to him.
04:10We didn't expect him to have, you know, a great season.
04:14He's not getting wrecked.
04:16But last couple of starts, three earned runs, five earned, four earned.
04:19And it's starting to come the other way here.
04:21Houston doesn't have the greatest offense.
04:23I know they scored 18 last night.
04:25But, listen, the bottom line is this.
04:26If this was in Texas, Texas Rangers ballpark, not the state of Texas.
04:31It isn't there.
04:32I'd probably start him in Texas.
04:33In Houston, no.
