00:07Canada's main stock index took a little boost by commodity gains this morning,

00:10with the TSX index up 0.2% as of 6.13 Eastern Time.

00:14The venture broke off close to 2.5 points, and futures of the Dow and the NASDAQ bull fell over 0.5%.

00:19Into headlines, Ontario and Saskatchewan strike a deal to slash trade barriers

00:23vowing freer flow of goods and labour.

00:25The move sets the stage for a higher-stakes meeting with Prime Minister Mark Carney on economic unity.

00:30And as U.S. tariffs loom and inflation remains stubborn,

00:33the Bank of Canada is set for a pivotal rate decision this week,

00:36balancing economic growth concerns with price stability mandates.

00:40Looking into currency futures with the Canadian dollar up over 0.25% to the greenback at 72 cents U.S.,

00:45down against the euro and Bitcoin sheds over 200 points this morning.

00:49And finishing up with commodity futures starting with copper grabbing a quick 0.5%,

00:53gold also popping up by 2%, WTI surges up over 4% to $63 U.S. a barrel,

01:00and natural gas takes a bite of another 6.5 point gain.
