00:07While futures tracking Canada's main stock index climbed Thursday, lifted by a U.S. court decision,
00:12blocking Trump-era tariffs and a strong showing from the country's big banks.
00:16June futures on the S&P TSX index were up 0.3% as of 6.25 Eastern Time.
00:22The venture takes a slight dip and futures of the Dow and the Nasdaq both glow green to kick off the day.
00:27What's in the headlines? Well, Ontario will revise its mining bill to include indigenous economic zones following backlash from First Nations.
00:35The province is responding to mounting legal and political pressure.
00:39And Wall Street and financial markets around the world jumped after a U.S. court ruled that President Donald Trump
00:43is not authorized to impose sweeping tariffs on imports under an emergency powers law.
00:49Peeking into currency futures with the loony on the rise this morning, sitting at 72 cents U.S.,
00:53tipping up to the euro and Bitcoin leaves behind 400 points.
00:56And flipping to commodity futures where copper adds on over a quarter percent, gold buttons on over half a percent,
01:03WTI stands at $61 U.S. a barrel, and natural gas picks up another 10 percent.
