00:07A tip-up for futures of Canada's main stock index this morning, backed by strong metal
00:11gains and investor eyes on the high-stakes talks in London later today, continuing U.S.-China
00:16trade talks.
00:17The TSX index futures were up 0.17% as of 5.22 Eastern Time.
00:23The venture is holding last week's gains and futures of the Dow and the Nasdaq are both
00:26on the climb this morning.
00:28The headlines, two major environmental groups are backing Nova Scotia's aggressive offshore
00:32wind expansion plan, an early endorsement that could shape the province's next big energy
00:37and investment play.
00:39And DHL Express has locked out over 2,100 workers across Canada, escalating tensions in an already
00:45strained parcel delivery sector.
00:48Peeking into currency futures with the Canadian dollar holding strong to the greenback sitting
00:51at 73 cents U.S., sliding slightly against the Euro and Bitcoin adds on a quick 2,500
00:57price.
00:58And finishing off with commodity futures, starting with copper adding on over 0.5%, gold also
01:03glowing green, WTI surges to $65 U.S. a barrel, and natural gas gives back close to 1.5%.
