00:00But Juan Soto, who, you know, certainly has not produced in the way that a lot of folks thought he would with the New York Mets.
00:08There's so many different theories and reasoning for this.
00:12You know, it's just a player just changing location.
00:15Sometimes things like this happen.
00:17Everyone says his bat speed is down or he'd rather be a Yankee.
00:20I don't know that I believe any of that stuff.
00:22But you're kind of betting on a great second half of the season, which is not impossible.
00:28But you have to believe, George, that that's going to happen if you're making a trade for Juan Soto.
00:34Yeah, listen, I would have no problem acquiring Soto.
00:37I would.
00:38If I'm a fantasy, I'll take the chance here.
00:40But I'm not paying full price.
00:42You know, I'm not paying, what was he, the fifth overall player or whatever?
00:44I'm not paying that ADP.
00:46You know, so, but if I get 80 cents on the dollar, that's what it's going to cost me to acquire him?
00:50Yeah, I'll take a shot here.
00:51Now, he was never going to put up the same numbers at Citi Field that he did at Yankee Stadium last year.
00:55And I don't, by the way, the judge thing of hitting behind him doesn't make much sense.
00:59A lot of those have to be a fantastic year.
01:00So, I don't think that's the problem.
01:02I think you probably nailed it.
01:03You know, change of scenery, not always beneficial right away.
01:06It takes a little bit here, even though he's in the same state, same city there.
01:10But I would take my chances.
01:11Yeah, I would.
01:12But like I said, I'm not banking what he had, 41 home runs.
01:15I took the under on that this year.
01:17He was never going to hit that in Citi Field.
01:18It just wasn't.
01:19And by the way, remember, you know, San Diego, he wasn't all that great there.
01:23You know, and once again, the change may have gotten him there.
01:26So, I don't think we should be all, well, we should be surprised he's been this bad.
01:30But I do think he'll return closer to what we're used to at once.
01:35So, I want him.
01:37The Atlanta Braves lose A.J. Smith-Shauver.
01:41They still have a really good pitching staff.
01:42One of them is Spencer Schwellenbach.
01:44He's in there at 68 innings, 60 strikeouts.
01:47He's been really good for them, but there's not a ton of track record here, George, for like 150, 60 innings.
01:55I mean, I assume the Braves are going to stay in this.
02:00But I think it's fair to ask the question, if they fall out of it, what they do.
02:04Would they even pitch this guy beyond 130, 140 innings?
02:07I'm not really sure.
02:09But again, maybe I'm just getting ahead of it.
02:11I do think the Braves will get it going and finish their season six, seven games over right now.
02:17It's not trending in that direction.
02:20Yeah, assuming they believe that 30 to 40 innings each year bump, he's only going to go, but you said it, about 160, 165 at most here.
02:27So, maybe they get cute and play the game.
02:29But they really can't get cute because they've fallen behind so much here.
02:32Now they just lost Shauver, as you said.
02:34So, he's got to pitch for them.
02:37I like Schwellenbach.
02:39So, once again, if someone's going to move him, I'm interested.
02:42You know, I'm certainly interested here.
02:44I'm not breaking the bank and giving up whatever they want for him.
02:48You know, if I had Soto, when I traded Soto with Schwellenbach, I believe in Soto, so probably not here.
02:53But it would be somewhat interesting if Soto was a package for Schwellenbach and friends.
02:58But I'm sort of bullish on Schwellenbach.
03:00I do believe it's where I'm going here.
03:02But your point about what's going to happen when he's at 140 innings, is he the same pitcher?
03:06Do they look to shut him down a little bit?
03:08But it's a valid point and a valid worry.
03:11All right.
03:12Let's get to Corey Seager, who, you know, year after year continues to really produce at the shortstop position.
03:17One of the elite guys, George.
03:19I think it's fair to ask, though, are you getting a player that can stay healthy?
03:23I mean, it does.
03:24You know, Seager is not 25 years old anymore.
03:26I mean, that's just the truth.
03:28And he's suffered a litany of injuries this season.
03:31His numbers are great when he plays, but that's the key.
03:33You know, well, I walk my dog every night and I'm doing it last night.
03:38And, yeah, I don't know why, but Seager comes into my head.
03:40I'm like, boy, Dodgers had him, too.
03:43You know, but, boy, did they make the right choice at not paying him.
03:46And it's for the reasons you mentioned here.
03:48He's one of those guys.
03:50He has a lot of abilities.
03:52Availability is not one of them.
03:53All right.
03:53He gets hurt a lot.
03:55And he's missing time over and over again.
03:58I mentioned this during draft time.
04:00I don't like drafting players like this.
04:01You can't draft multiple players like this because you know you're not getting anywhere near 162.
04:06You're praying for 140.
04:08And, you know, Seager's probably closer to 120.
04:11Unless I'm desperate here or I want to roll the dice.
04:13No.
04:14I'm not taking it.
04:15I don't think he's going to play 100 games from here on out.
04:18It's about what they have left.
04:20You know, he's 75, 80, 90.
04:22I don't know.
04:23So, no, Craig, I can't do this.
