00:00hey i don't know about you but i'm pretty confident here that against cleveland and st louis

00:04that i want to start matthew boy do you agree are you with me here where this is just a no doubter

00:09for me the way he's pitched this year what would the joke be you had me at cleveland all right uh

00:15come on this team that really can't hit all that much here st louis been a little better

00:19offensively than uh we probably expected coming to the year but my thing is this if he's on your

00:24roster and you're not starting him this week and you either have one hell of a pitching staff which

00:28it's possible maybe a lot of you know the striders of the world uh you got late uh you know you got

00:33to make tough decisions for one starters but he goes for me uh it's an easy choice uh he definitely

00:38goes for me here i do think there's some regression coming with him by the way he can be in our last

00:42segment as well he's at 91 innings already only through 39 last year so he's another guy 34 years

00:47of age you wonder if there's gonna be a problem but i don't see the cubs shutting him down i don't

00:51see them wonder or worrying all that much about it if his arm falls off no i think the cubs are uh

00:57in it for better or worse now they've been rumored also to be kicking the tires and some of the

01:00marlins pictures edward cabrera sandy alcantara we'll see if that comes to fruition for them i

01:05just don't think they've got the system to pull off that kind of deal personally we'll see what

01:09happens maybe a cate horton plus i don't know if they want to even do that uh next guy on the list

01:13is ryan nelson who's taken over that spot for corbin burns in the diamondbacks rotation now last outing

01:18was pretty good for him uh five innings pitched uh seven punch outs for him against the white socks

01:25so i guess you want to take it with a bit of a grain of salt before that he was pitching against

01:29the toronto blue jays george four strikeouts in that game just two walks one earned run so over

01:34his last 10 and two-thirds innings he's only given up two earned runs you go back another start before

01:39that san diego padres five innings again so he we know what he is he's not a guy that's going to give

01:45you a quality start but he's given up now that i'm looking at it 15 and two-thirds innings just

01:50two earned runs so really just one or fewer in the last three outings so you look at the tail of the

01:54tape here and what he's got ahead of him the san francisco giants and the kansas city royals now the

01:59royals have struggled offensively and the giants although they've brought endeavors still not lighting

02:04the world on fire offensively i gotta say i don't like the fact that corbin burns isn't in that lineup

02:09for the diamondbacks but i kind of feel like nelson in a deeper league is actually a worthy streamer

02:14despite maybe one of those matchups being a little bit tougher what do you think about

02:18ryan nelson this week in the matchups he's got and keep in mind one of them is right now tentatively

02:25against logan webb in that first one against the giants that could be a tough one that's the most

02:31that's the annoying thing i mean you already said some of the numbers here one one zero seven

02:36zero zero one two zero two zero one that's his earned runs and what his last 10 starts

02:44i mean yeah he got obliterated in cincinnati gave seven other than that i don't think he's given

02:48seven combined of the other nine starts here so yeah i'm going with him here he's hot he's pitching

02:54well here is it if you're in a league where you need the w if you're in a points league and the win

02:58is the most important thing which in my home league it's all about the win all right that logan webb

03:03one's going to be a problem you know you're probably not going to get the win webb pitch

03:07he also pitches great every start he maybe neither one of them gets a win you know it's a two two tie

03:11going into the eighth year so that would concern me here but anything else he goes for me yeah i'm
