00:00The gentleman yields back, the gentleman from Indiana Reserves, the gentleman from Massachusetts
00:04is recognized.
00:05Does the gentleman have any other speakers, or is she the final speaker?
00:08I'm prepared to close.
00:09May I ask how much time I have, Mr. Speaker?
00:11The gentleman has five and a half minutes.
00:13The gentleman has four minutes.
00:15Mr. Speaker, one of the previous Republican speakers got up and said, Rome is burning.
00:20I hate to tell him, but Republicans are in charge.
00:24And Trump is your Caesar.
00:27And so, you know, CBO just did an analysis of this budget, and they did an analysis of
00:34how it impacts the bottom 10 percent and the top 10 percent income earners in this country.
00:39And guess what?
00:40The bottom 10 percent gets screwed, and the top 10 percent get a big raise in terms of
00:46revenue, in terms of tax breaks.
00:48So let me end where I began, Mr. Speaker.
00:51This is about whose side you are on.
00:54Whose side are you on, Mr. Speaker?
00:56Because from where I stand, it looks like you and the entire Republican Party betrayed
01:01the American people to side with the billionaires.
01:04People are so, so tired of getting screwed over by a system that doesn't work for them.
01:11They are fed up, and they want change.
01:13They want us to make things better for regular, hardworking people, not just the rich and the powerful.
01:19And what Republicans' big ugly bill does is the exact opposite.
01:25Our colleagues and Trump are perpetuating the exact broken system that people hate and despise.
01:32More tax breaks for billionaires while regular people get screwed.
01:37More giveaways for the rich and powerful while moms and dads struggle to get by.
01:42More loopholes into the tax code for Wall Street while working families fall further and further behind.
01:49That's the Republican agenda.
01:51That's what you guys think is big and beautiful.
01:54Greed, corruption, and tax breaks for billionaires.
01:57You know, my state of Massachusetts funds states like Indiana where the gentlelady is from.
02:03We get back less than we give.
02:06And so how dare she or anyone else vote to steal our tax money and give it to billionaires?
02:12So no, no, we will not go quietly.
02:15And no, we will not give up.
02:17We will fight this cruel, corrupt, immoral bill every step of the way because the people we represent are counting on us.
02:26And we will never stop fighting for them.
02:28I urge every member of this House to vote hell no, never, absolutely not, on this terrible disgrace of a bill.
02:37I yield back.
02:38Gentleman yields back.
02:41Gentlelady from Indiana.
