'You Know It's A Good Bill Because The Left Hates It!': Jim Jordan Roasts Dems & Praises GOP Budget

In House floor remarks, Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) praised the Big Beautiful Bill in advance of its ultimate passage.

00:00With that, I yield to my good friend from Ohio, our GOP chair of the Judiciary Committee, Mr. Jim Jordan.

00:07Gentlemen's recognized for two minutes.

00:10Mr. Speaker, you know it's a good bill because the left hates it.

00:13The left that defunded the police, the left that let 10 million people illegally enter our country in a four-year time span,

00:20the left that wants men to compete against women in sports,

00:23the left that lied to us about Benghazi, lied to us about the Hunter Biden laptop,

00:28lied to us about President Biden's health, the left that lied to us about COVID.

00:34You remember that.

00:35They got to go to the fancy restaurants, but all the people we represent,

00:39they couldn't go to church, couldn't go to work, couldn't go to school.

00:42The left doesn't like this bill.

00:44That tells you it's a good bill.

00:47This bill's about fundamental conservative principles, regular things that the American people appreciate.

00:52This bill cuts taxes.

00:54This bill requires work for able-bodied adults in our welfare system.

00:57This bill gives school choice to parents.

01:00This bill secures the border.

01:02We're the party that believes in letting moms and dads keep more of their money to spend on their goals and their dreams.

01:08We're the party that says if you get taxpayer funds and you're able-bodied, you should work.

01:15That's fair to the taxpayers.

01:16That's good for our economy.

01:17Most importantly, it's good for the recipient.

01:19We're the party that says parents, regular moms and dads, should get to pick where their kid goes to school

01:26so they can get the kind of education that will allow them to achieve the American dream.

01:30That's in this bill.

01:31And this bill secures the border.

01:33The primary issue of last fall's election, the issue that decided the election,

01:38the issue that put President Trump in the White House and Republicans in control of the Congress,

01:42this bill helps secure the border that President Trump's already got under control.

01:47That's why we should support this legislation.

01:49It cuts taxes, requires work for able-bodied adults, empowers parents to pick the school

01:54where their kid's going to get the best education,

01:56and secures the border like the American people want us to do.

02:00This bill is doing exactly what we told the voters we were going to do,

02:03and that's why we should support it.
