00:00Hello and welcome to Manchester World. My name is Theo Hewson Betts and today I'm going out onto the streets of Manchester to ask people about food, brands and value items.
00:07Particularly, are there specific foods that people have made the switch over to the value version recently? Have they noticed a difference?
00:13And is there a particular food or item that they are not willing to skimp on?
00:18So never skimp on ketchup, Coca-Cola, never get Roller-Cola. It's not worth it, just drink water.
00:26It's just battery, actually.
00:27It's battery, yeah. I don't care how cheap it is.
00:31I feel like stuff like chocolate, I feel like I'm a bit more picky on. I'll buy a Cadbury over a non-brand, I feel like.
00:40I feel like I switch up on a lot of stuff, but not actual food instead of something that's associated with the brand.
00:45I feel like clients are very much just like clients. And a lot of stuff, like fish fingers, I feel like you can buy it.
00:51It's a lot of fish fingers instead of those.
00:53I think butter, definitely switch out on that.
00:56Yeah.
00:57Butter's extortion.
00:57Cheese, switch out on that sometimes.
00:59Yeah.
