We went out into Manchester to ask people on the street about high street shops that have recently shut their doors to find out what people miss the most.

My name is Theo Hewson-Bertz and today I'm out on the streets of Manchester talking to people about disappearing shops and that's because WH Smith is about to disappear from many high street across the country with his name set to change to T.G. Jones as well. We want to know what one shop that's gone missing over the last couple of years people miss the most and why.

Yeah I think it's a lot of stuff's going online isn't it now or going into like almost like pop-ups inside bigger stores you can see why companies would be going to different routes because the cost I guess of electricity of wages things like that.
00:40The one we miss the most was Debenhams. No they had some. It just had what we like. Yeah I mean we're old now obviously we're. Eh? Well we are you're 83 and I'm 78 and Debenhams have my sort of clothes.
