People on the street: What would your Christmas Market stall be?

We went out into Manchester to ask people about what their stall would be if they could run one on the Christmas Market.

00:00Hi I'm Theo and welcome to People on the Street. Today I'm out in Manchester asking people about

00:04the Christmas markets. Now a lot of people tend to have an opinion on them, some love them,

00:08some hate them, but the question we're asking today is if people were running their own stall

00:12on Manchester's Christmas markets, what would it be? It could be anything from something that

00:16they're good at in terms of activities, some food that they make or some sort of arts and crafts

00:20thing. I think it would be food because I'm a big traveller, I've seen the best of all foods around

00:25the world so I think I went to Germany and I liked the big hot dog there so I would kind of

00:30incorporate a lot of food from different countries. So I'm from Asia so I'd bring a lot of Asian

00:34cuisine and like drinks from there so something a bit different and for me selling merchandise

00:39isn't my thing, I'm a big foodie so I think for me I would sell food from all around the world,

00:43the best ones. I'd probably say a merchandise one, it's hard to say which one exactly but

00:49if it was the kind of one that I'd want to go to it'd kind of be a mix of all the shops that we

00:53tend to go to, it'd be mainly the ones that sell like films, pop figures, maybe some books like

00:58anime, manga and all other sorts like that, maybe comic book and probably like some very nice shirts

01:04and dress kind of attires just because you find some really unique stuff around here that you

01:10probably wouldn't find in your average shop. I'll be honest right, I'm kind of a simple person, I

01:15like you know the big potatoes and put beans on it and add a lot of garlic and spice like

01:19just simple foods like that. Similar I guess but make it affordable because I feel like now they're

01:25a bit expensive, like older shows that maybe like you don't see much of anymore that's still popular

01:31for me. I'm just kind of a bit of everything like it doesn't matter if it's old, retro, new or

01:36anything of the sort like that because they all do a decent amount as well but I'd say if they did

01:41the kind of shirts that you'd probably see from like obviously you know our favourite kind of ones

01:47those kind of ones where it's like really good details. There's no breaking bad stuff nowadays

01:51and I'm upset about it. I'll say like mocktails and cocktails, something that's just like it gets

01:56you like energised, gets you chatting, that type of drink I would say yeah.
