00:00Hello and welcome to Manchester World. My name is Theo Guesenbeck and today I'm out on the streets of Manchester asking people about their household bills.
00:07And that's because a study's been done that's found that across the UK, household bills have risen by £36 million since March,
00:14which could equate to around £100 per household.
00:17We want to know if people had access to another £100 each month, what would they honestly spend it on?
00:22And we promise there'll be no judgement at all.
00:25Where would that go?
00:26Well, I'm going to America in September, so I'd probably put it into my savings.
00:32Because at the moment, because bills have gone up so much, I've had to be eating through my savings.
00:37So it'd be quite nice to have them.
00:39Well, I'm relatively happy with how much I make.
00:43So I would probably, if I were just given £100 right now, I'd probably go give it to some sort of charity.
00:48If I just had a pay bump by £100, I would probably just go into the savings because trying to save for a house is an absolute nightmare.
00:56I'm sure most people under the age of about 40 can appreciate that.
00:59I'm sure most people under the age of about 40 can appreciate that.
