Some low cloud around to start in central and northern England, though this will clear through to lunchtime, leaving a warm sunny day across the UK on Friday. Slightly cooler along North Sea coasts where there will be a fresh breeze. This is the Met Office UK Weather forecast for the morning of 16/05/2025. 00:00Hello there, good morning. To end the week, plenty more blue skies to come, but across
00:04the east, a slightly different story. Now there could be some low cloud around to start
00:09through the early hours of the morning, feeling a little bit chilly, but any low cloud clearing
00:13away fairly quickly. Once again, we'll see wall-to-wall sunshine for many areas, but
00:18it's across the east where low cloud is set to linger. More of a north-easterly breeze
00:22here too, just adding on to the chill of things. So temperatures here struggling a little more,
00:27but elsewhere, temperatures widely in the low 20s, so a rather pleasant afternoon to finish
00:32off the week. Then into the evening, once again, a return of the low cloud, drifting in from
00:40the North Sea, but this time perhaps becoming a bit more widespread across parts of England
00:44and Wales. So many more of us waking up to those cloudy and possibly quite grey skies during
00:49the very early hours of Saturday, but across western parts of Scotland, Northern Ireland,
00:53western parts of Wales and parts of the south-west as well, staying largely dry and clear, but
00:57turning a little bit chillier here. But elsewhere, cloud keeping those temperatures widely
01:02in the mid-to-high single figures. So a cloudy grey start to the weekend, but the good news
01:09is it should brighten up nicely. And by the time we reach the afternoon, a return of the
01:14sunshine and a return of the blue skies. For most, still across eastern areas, there's
01:19a chance some of that low cloud could linger on. But for many, it should break up nicely,
01:24once again, widely in the low 20s or high teens. So still a pleasant start to the weekend.
01:30Then we find high pressure remains, still remains to the north of the country. So still, once
01:36again, dragging in a north-easterly breeze, more cloud drifting in from the North Sea as
01:41we head through into Sunday. And that is pretty much the setup over the next few days. But for
01:46more details on this weekend's weather, we can catch Aidan here on YouTube. Otherwise, that's
01:50it from me. Bye-bye.
01:51Bye-bye.
