00:00It's a whole different world we live in now.
00:04And one of the things that I think is important is to recognize,
00:11like the legislature has done, we have evolved.
00:15This is not the 90s anymore.
00:17We have a more robust understanding of a lot of things.
00:23And I hat tip to the family and I'll let them after we answer a couple of questions,
00:29speak about what this means to them.
00:31I just know that on a day like today, that redemption is possible.
00:39And to those you saw X-rated talk today, you saw kind of the ridiculous nature of the cross
00:45examination.
00:46You can turn anything on its head.
00:48The fact is the Menendez brothers have done remarkable work.
00:53And today is a great day after 35 years.
00:58While the crime was truly horrific and remarkable, the 35 years since what they have accomplished
01:05is remarkable in with no hope.
01:07And we've said that since day one.
01:09And so with no hope.
01:13This encourages people who are incarcerated to take the make the right decisions to take
01:18the right path.
01:19So I couldn't be it's just a win win on so many levels.
