00:00Do you see the Menendez brothers going on this tour and getting out?
00:07What are your thoughts on that?
00:09I would hope so.
00:10I think it's a great idea.
00:11I frequently know guys who have a lot of influence in the streets.
00:19I frequently interact with them.
00:22Some go on to get in more trouble.
00:24But my interaction is to have them help others who've come or are still stuck where they were and give some hope and inspiration because they have the followers.
00:36Unfortunately, our young generation, they really admire the gangster lifestyle, and they have the folks who admire and idolize them more than they do old 65-year-old Judge Mathis.
00:49I've aged out.
00:50They're not listening to me anymore.
00:52So, no, you must take the folks who are admired or who are known, who have the most awareness, and have them try and have influence over their peers.
01:06Absolutely.
01:06I think it is an ingenious idea, in fact.
01:10And the judge stole mine, quite frankly.
01:12No, I wouldn't have them, but I've had some other high-level folks come from prison.
01:17And I've asked them to do prison visits with me and talk to the men they've left behind.
01:23In fact, I believe it's a duty, quite frankly, of redemption when you've caused damage in your community, then you must repair as much as you can.
01:34And so that's been my mission.
01:35And to do it for myself, I think I've done a pretty good job.
01:39And I'm telling others similarly situated when they leave that you owe, you have a debt to society and not just behind bars.
01:49You got a debt out here to help repair some of the damage that has been made or that you contributed to.
01:56You got a debt out here to help repair some of the damage that has been made or that you can't do.
