00:00Hi, it's DHA's Rockin' Rough, and I am Terri Carr.

00:06This is Petunia.

00:08Petunia's a great dog.

00:09She is here with my good friend, Sunny Knoll,

00:11from Randolph Regional Animal Shelter.

00:14Petunia's high energy.

00:16She's a high energy girl.

00:18So if you're a runner or a walker,

00:21or you just want a doggie that you can throw a ball with

00:23or just have some fun with, Petunia is the girl for you.

00:26Now, Petunia has been in the shelter for a while, right,

00:29son, probably, you said, about a year?

00:31Yeah, she's actually been with us a little over a year,

00:34and we're hoping that this will help find her a home.

00:38She is a higher energy dog, but she self-amuses with any toy you give her.

00:43She'll keep herself occupied for hours.

00:46She is going to training right now with our friends at Garden State Canine,

00:50so she's learning some great obedience skills.

00:54She's a great dog, and she just keeps getting passed over,

00:57you know, time and time again.

00:58So we're just hoping to find her a home.

01:00I call it Kona luck.

01:01We had Kona here, who was in the shelter, for a year, a little more than a year.

01:06Kona was a high energy dog, too.

01:08Sunny referred to her as the wild child of the shelter,

01:12and of course found her match in WDHA listener Lou,

01:15and they are literally like peas and carrots.

01:17I mean, they're the best friends ever.

01:19So let's check out our sweet Petunia.

01:22Now she's playing with her leash, high energy Petunia.

01:25Hanging out, having a good time on DHA's Rockin' Rough, and she is.

01:30Meet Petunia from the Randolph Regional Animal Shelter.

01:34Petunia is a three-year-old muddegree with lots and lots of energy.

01:39Petunia has been at the shelter for a year and has always passed over,

01:42and we don't know why.

01:44Petunia is dog-friendly, cat-friendly, and loves to play,

01:47and as we said, has lots of energy and is currently completing a canine behavioral course

01:53and is a rock star when it comes to learning.

01:55Looking for a dog that loves to go for walks, runs, and loves playtime?

02:00Petunia could just be the dog for you.

02:03Adopt Petunia.

02:05Three years old and looking for a home.

02:08Petunia, by the way, was found in Patterson,

02:11made her way to the Randolph Regional Animal Shelter,

02:13and is just looking for, you know, dogs like this that have higher energy,

02:17that are young dogs still, and find themselves in a local animal shelter,

02:21are looking for a home with some structure,

02:24the regular time that they go for a walk or go into their yard and hang out.

02:28She's dog-friendly.

02:29She's cat-friendly, Sunny tells me.

02:31So that's pretty incredible.

02:40Tell us about Foster to Adopt and how we can find this girl home.

02:43Yeah, Foster to Adopt is an option where you can take her for as little

02:47or as long as you'd like to see if she fits into your home.

02:50She does come with two lessons with the trainers that she's working with,

02:55so you will get all of the knowledge of what she's learned

02:59and the commands that she knows.

03:35at Dover Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram on Route 46 in Rock, Rock, Rockaway,

03:40a very dog-friendly place here in Morris County.

03:44And, of course, Jeeps are always good.

03:46You can put as many dogs as you want in your Jeeps.
