Dave & Chuck the Freak talk about an obese cat that has undergone water therapy in order to lose weight. This leads to them finding another overweight cat that went viral for being so big and get an update on his weight loss journey.

00:33Owner tried to take it for walks, do lots of things.

00:39Finally, they got it into swimming.

01:15Like most cats, peaches doesn't love the water.

01:18But what he does love is the problem.

01:20Peaches loves eating and sitting.

01:23He became overweight, contracted diabetes, and refuses to go for walks.

02:51Peaches is staring off how I've recently been staring off into the corner at times.

03:08As bizarre as it may be for a cat to be put in water, it makes sense for Peaches.

03:13His owner happens to be friends with a pet hydrotherapist.

03:16So they kind of pick him up, take him to one end, and he swims to his platform.

03:20And so they try and do that a couple times without break, like I said, to get his cardio up.

03:25The pool is heated, and it's exercise easy on the joints.

03:29That's why I like a pool.

03:31Peaches wasn't a huge fan of Peaches.

03:32He's like, I hate you.

03:33Shut up.

03:34But has warmed up to it.

03:35Now he doesn't meow as much.

03:38Like, he would protest quite a bit in the early days.

03:41Now, every once in a while, you'll get a big deep meow from him, but not as much.

03:47Peaches is making a splash online as well.

03:49His owner started documenting the cat's weight loss journey on TikTok.

03:54For a mermaid, the count has 35,000 followers, with several videos garnering millions of views.

03:59People telling him way to go, and they're so proud of him.

05:23One of them, they put a little life jacket on it, and it just floats so fast.

05:31That one is way worse.

06:00There was clearly a picture that was attached to it, and I opened it up, and there he was

06:10When someone adopted him, but we didn't really follow his life law.

06:14His weight loss plan.

06:15I just went, I gotta have Patches.

06:17Patches, the 40-pound cat, has become quite the superstar.

06:28Before home, I just wanted to help Patches.

06:32Weighing 42 pounds when he came in, that didn't stop Patches' determination to get moving

06:37in his new home.
