00:22it's insane okay i want to just google what the average size of a kidney stone is first i think

01:10a bit bigger oh no bowling ball the size of a large grapefruit it's as long as a banana

01:34you five and a half inches long weighing 1.76 pounds it broke two world records when it was removed

01:42by sri lankan doctors what are they like what it's calcium is it calcium deposit solid pieces of

01:50material that crystallize in the kidney uterus or bladder due to genetic and environmental factors

01:5610 of people are affected at some point in their lives oh that's not as bad as i thought

02:31flush things out before it can even build up that'll make me want to walk around with an iv fluid all

02:40after i decided to go back to pop for my first time in like three weeks oh no yeah jimmy the gal i've

03:05it does it's terrible to me it is it just take a bite yeah caramel it's awful so gross right

03:15so horrible i can't even imagine the process uh to get them removed notoriously painful

03:21stones above three millimeters in diameter require treatments such as surgery to remove them

03:27such treatments include using sound waves to break the stones or surgery through a small incision in

03:33the lower back i knew they'd dunk you in a tank and shoot sound waves at you very cool breaks them up

03:40yeah it's crazy i was on vacation once with one of the toughest guys i'd ever met

03:45and we sat down to dinner and the dude doubled over and by the end of the meal was in tears

03:55that and it hit like a just like out of nowhere just hit like a brick right and we were in mexico

04:01oh it's a bad place to be when they're like we're going to hit you with the sound waves and then they

05:07days in and it's just oh we didn't see the dude for like three days after that yeah and like it's

05:14not how you expected to spend your vacation they gave him some he didn't want to get surgery there

05:21right oh i understand that and they gave him some mexican medication it's called a harrowing no yeah

05:28it literally knocked him out for days yeah well she had to fly back with that oh i think so

05:33well yeah i mean you do it's more like he looked like death on the flight back i felt so bad for the

05:40guy but that's that sparked and this was like 20 years ago sparked my fear i just know like my dad

05:46has told me like several things throughout life where like i'm like okay he really means that he

05:51told me to always get my oil changed on time yep and he told me that kidney stones were the like

05:56most painful thing he's ever experienced so that put the fear of god in me yeah me too listen i've had

06:01a fear for years and years now so i mean i have a fear but yet i still i'm living a life tempting fate

06:10i think you know you and james gonna have massive kidney stones i'm ready to just dump this pepsi out

06:24the penis balls first of all um first time caller long time listener um so yeah so it started several

06:32years ago um i had just had a child my third uh my second son and um they're common on getting them

06:41after having either a child or surgery and i had just had colon surgery and four months later i started

06:48having pains and um they realized that they were kidney stones but it took years and me going into

06:55boston hospitals to figure out that it wasn't a calcium stone which is extremely common it was a

07:02uric acid stone which is formed by a certain like a different form of gout so like foods that you eat

07:09with cherry in it jimmy the gout just eyeballs just stopped are you kidding jimmy no now i have to

07:18worry about kidney gout oh yeah throw that pepsi out right now there it goes there it goes yeah
