WDHA's Rock N' Ruff - "Zach"

00:00Hi, it's DHA's Rockin' Russ and I am Terri Carr. I am here with my friends Olivia and Don from

00:08Associated Humane Societies of Newark, New Jersey. I always say AHS has the most lovely,

00:15well-behaved dogs. We have had them out at WDHA events for years, MVPs of our events all the time

00:22and they're usually, not all the time, but a lot of the time larger dogs. Yes. Larger, bigger guys

00:29I got to tell you a little bit about Zach because Zach is not a stranger to me. I met Zach last

00:35September and it is almost impossible for me guys to believe and understand how he is still at the

00:43shelter. This is Mr. Happy. As you could see, he's got the tail that I, that I love where I almost

00:51call it like machine tail where you go boop, boop, boop, boop and you get the wag. Zach is good with

00:56other dogs. Very respectful, plays super nice. He's just a really happy-go-lucky guy. Olivia,

01:03tell us a little bit about Zach and what you've experienced with him at the shelter. So Zach has

01:08come a long way. He's been in the shelter over a year. No! I know. It kills us. This little bulldog mix

01:14is so friendly. Like Terri was saying, he's so respectful with other dogs. He plays so nicely

01:20with every single dog that he meets. He was at the Dog Days of Summer event this weekend,

01:26just loving everybody's dog. Zach prefers an adult-only home, so we're looking for a big dog

01:33experienced. But I mean, he's a great dog. He walks very nicely on leash. He has a great set of

01:39commands. You know, sit, down, shake. He's very intelligent, super treat motivated. We're just

01:45confused as to why this loving dog has been in the shelter over a year. Yet his only detriment in

01:50the car is he does try to kiss you when you are driving the car. But he's just such a loving guy

01:57and deserves a home of his own. Everybody is a friend to Zach, and you will see that in his piece

02:03as we check him out interacting with our staff on WDHA's Rock and Rough. The Zach attack in a good

02:08way. I love this dog. I love this dog. Hey friends, Terri Carr here, and I want you to meet

02:13Zach. One of my favorite WDHA Rock and Rough dogs ever. He is the happiest, friendliest guy.

02:21Zach is from the Associated Humane Society of Newark, New Jersey, and Zach has been at the

02:26shelter looking for a home for way too long, actually going on one year, and we cannot figure

02:33out why. This bulldog mix has not been adopted yet. Zach is great with other dogs of all sizes.

02:40In fact, he was an MVP of WDHA's Dog Days of Summer, meeting, greeting, and playing with

02:46just about everyone. Zach is always smiling. He's housebroken, great on a leash, does really

02:52well in the car, and would love his very own family to call his own. Big dog lovers, where

02:58are you? Let's get Zach out of the shelter. If you are looking for a great Zach to join your

03:04pack, this guy is the dog for you. Adopt Zach.

03:08Zach. I told you, isn't he great? Now, of course, Jim Monaghan from the WDHA Morning

03:13Jolt is here. Zach definitely had an affinity for Jim. I mean, he met him 30 seconds ago

03:19and was literally like, where's Jim? Where's Jim? Where's Jim? So we called Jim out of the

03:23office. Isn't this a great dog?

03:24He is beautiful.

03:25He is beautiful. He is super sweet. And Olivia, you guys are getting ready to launch like

03:29a cool sort of Zach on Social Media campaign. Tell us a little bit about it.

03:34This week on social media, on our platforms, on Facebook and Instagram, you'll find Zach

03:38posted every single day in our social media storm called The Zach Attack, where we're going

03:44to be posting a cool fact about Zach every single day. So definitely look out for that

03:48on our pages.

03:49I love this dog. And we got to get him out of the shelter and into a home as soon as possible.

03:57I mean, as Olivia said, he's been in the shelter a year. I mean, I mean, this is just crazy.

04:02And he's such a sweet, friendly guy. So he's going for the office. And I tell you, he wants

04:08to stay at WDHA and hang out with all of us. Does very well with other dogs, as always,

04:13though, a proper introduction, always a must. But let's get Zach into the home that he truly,

04:39And my great friends at Hometown Pet Shop, brand new location, right in Morris Plains,

04:45New Jersey. I'm going to be out there this weekend. So really, really looking forward
