00:00It's a busy day, but another installment of Touring in the 313. I'm Lisha.

00:05I'm Clay. How you doing?

00:06And we are here at the Detroit Zoo, my first time ever. How many times have you been here?

00:10Oh my gosh, we've been here dozens of times and it gets better every single time.

00:15It's a nice hot summer day like today. We're going to cool off with the penguins,

00:19a little polar bear action. We're going to see it all.

00:22Plus, we get to check out the all-new Dragon Forest presented by Michigan First Credit Union.

00:26Yeah, we'll take you through the guided tour there, so let's go check it out.

00:30Detroit Zoo, here we come. Let's tour.

00:36These look like the penguins who started it all, like in Madagascar.

00:40He's probably talking mad mess about us.

00:43Also, why can't penguins fly? That just feels rude to them.

00:50They, like, fly through the water.

00:52Well, that's because they can't fly any other time.

00:55There's the answer to their question.

00:56I'm going to start wearing tuxes now, so I can camouflage from all my haters.

01:17Every 30 minutes, it breaks,

01:20and then you have to scramble out. It's part of the attraction.

02:33And also, I think this is the first time

02:34I've ever seen a polar bear in my life,

02:35so I don't really know, like,

02:37how to feel right now.

02:39I don't even think that the zoo back home

02:41has a polar bear.

02:44That's the way you get them.

02:47We are here at the Detroit Zoo

02:49Tour in a 3-1-3.

02:49We got our winners with us here.

02:53Polar, the man that's kind of

02:54made all this happen.

02:55This is a pretty big deal

02:57for the zoo, isn't it?

02:58Install of this exhibit,

03:00you know, takes three weeks total.

03:01Driving them in with big trucks

03:03and all that,

03:04putting them together

03:05with giant forklifts and lifts.

03:06They kind of glue them together,

03:09paint them,

03:09and get all the electrical going,

03:10and that takes about three weeks

03:12for just to get them on site

03:13and I'm sold.

03:14Wow.

03:14Well, let's go check it out.

03:15Right?

03:16I don't know much about dragons

03:18except from, you know,

03:20Khaleesi, my girl.

03:23Wait, I love his shirt.

03:25I love when people

03:26don't root for the other team

03:27because I'm a Ravens fan,

03:30but it's okay.

03:31I'm from Maryland, so...

03:34Tell me about our friendly giant,

03:36the Western Dragon.

03:37So, the Western Dragon

03:38took about two days

03:39simply to put together.

03:41Then it was about seven days

03:42straight of one portion

03:43working up on the back of it,

03:45on the wings,

03:46sewing together,

03:47gluing, and then painting.

03:48So, it took a total of about nine days

03:50to completely dump this up running.

03:52It was a big project.

03:55She's obviously,

03:56there's even more reason

03:56for you to come and visit

03:58the Dragon Forest,

03:59but to put all this work in,

04:01it clearly shows for itself.

04:03Exactly.

04:08I want this one to start moving

04:09just to scare the bejesus

04:11out of all of us.

04:12We're just like,

04:12oh yeah, look at this,

04:13and then...

04:14Here he go.

04:19This is my new pet.

04:21Don't come messing with me,

04:23or Sebris will come beat you up.

04:29So, when we talk about

04:31what we learned every single day,

04:33it's pretty obvious

04:34what we learned.

04:43the zoo is a great thing

04:44to see any time of the year,
